Thanks! My 10 month old daughter tossed her older brother's controller in the toilet and I thought it was toast. Took it apart, cleaned it all with alcohol and blew it out with compressed air, then reassembled with your fantastic guide, and IT WORKS!
Probably warranty? Plus a lot of corprorations seem to be highly against businesses making money off repairing or modifying their products probably due to wanting to charge or sell more.
I doesn't look much harder than the previous just an extra antenna wire and different lb/rb placements. They probably just don't want people to make profits from shell swaps, since 'exclusive' controllers go for much higher even though the only difference is the shell. I've modded both my Xbox one s controllers and their extremely easy.
Thank you, after one year, my Y button didn't work 100%. I tried rubbing alcohol, which didn't work. Typical Microsoft button error, at least I thought that. Ordered a new one, the buttons on the new one worked, but I didn't like the feeling, I thought I just have to use it the controller for a while, and it will feel the same as my other one. Months later, still the same feeling, so I searched for a video and found yours, tried my luck With this tutorial it was quite easy, thank you for doing both dissemble and reassemble. Well, end of the story, I found dirt on the rubber where the Y button contact is, on the board. A big thank you again!
Thank you for this! My black controller started to have stick drift, and I found a good deal on a red controller, but I'm not a big fan of the color, so I completely disassembled both using this guide and mixed and matched colors and put them back together, both controllers work great! (Aside from the preexisting stick drift on the other one).
I get that you claimed the Xbox controller was disassembled, but it wasn’t actually. You still had the triggers, springs, and Pins in - which is what I’m looking for when I look up a full disassemble.
lol "Thanks to the magnetic base your screws stay on the mat and you will not lose them" ... he lifts it up and 1 screw immediately disappears hahhahahah
I'm very thankful for the clear guide. I don't understand why they made so hard to open unlike the PS4 controllers. I literally needed an explaination video to do it. lol
Thanks, because of you I was able to find the source of why my LB button sinks in instead of clicking! Darn tiny part of it snapped! Thank you! I’m able to replace that part thanks to your vid.

After two years of usage, X key got stuck completely. Thanks to this guide, I've managed to disassemble, clean and re assemble the controller. Had to use T6 and T9H screwdrivers. Everything works fine. Thanks.
I found the problem. Thank you. It turns out there is a little piece of plastic that has partially snapped. I have never dropped my romote, and it's only 1 year's old. It just happens so quickly. I have fixed it by putting very strong glue on the bit of plastic attached to the LB trigger. 🙂
Why didn't you included the sync button in the tear down? I've just spent the past hour putting my controller back together and I know have to take it apart because of that :(
A kid on my daugthers bday dropped the controller a few times, and now the handle creaks. Is there a way to fix that? Because I really dislike that sound. I see you take it of really easy, but if you put it back together, does it not make a creaking sound when you hold the controller firm?
Handle as in the spot where you have 3 fingers while using it. I dont know the proper word in english. My other controllers don't have that sound because it is firm together, but now this one suddenly does. I am just afraid i will make it worse by opening it
Question does the top sync button come off too? (The button on top in between the LB and RB button) I am interchanging the white series S controller and the black series X controller to mismatch the color and buttons. I also see that the RB and LB buttons are still one piece like the older controllers. I wont be changing the trigger buttons just the bumper buttons piece. Can please someone that works on these let me know if that sync button comes out too. Thanks! 😀
I've bought a new motherboard for my series Controller, and -Tada- theres is no software on it. Where can i get this for the Motherboard and hoe can I install it? Cheers ❤

Motherboard with analog bases costs more than most new series x controllers. Better to look for a sale and then just buy a controller for parts (or just use it as is)
Ciao ho smontato il pad perché non dà segni di vita ma quando stacco l'antenna sinistra riprende a funzionare sai il perché? E che funzionalità avrebbe questa antenna? Grazie

Hey I had the same issue. What I did was put the wires back onto the contact point and tape it it there with black insulation tape. Make sure it’s touching the contacts before putting the controller back together. If you can solder it back even better.
Damn guys you disassembled the whole controller, but didn't torn apart analog sticks module - the reason of the kost frequent problems with stick drifts. Well that's kinda... Odd I'd say. The video helped me remove the pads though lol

Very useful if you have a lot of controllers and want to mix and match colors for a super custom look

Probably warranty? Plus a lot of corprorations seem to be highly against businesses making money off repairing or modifying their products probably due to wanting to charge or sell more.

A lot of big company’s are making it much much harder to repair devices because of warranty
They also wanted a lot of removable parts because of customization! :)

Another video I watched said they were T9. I got a kit with T2 - T10 to cover everything.
the outside and inside screws are different you need tr8 for the outside and tr6 for the inside
U forgot to show how to put sync button I noticed when I was managing wires
