Thank you for checking out the video! I loved playing through this remake, even though it was pretty difficult at times. I ended up grinding quite a bit, but I cut it out of the video for time. I ended up the game around level 46 if you're wondering!
Very good video. Do you plan to show the entire post-game up to the true final boss (Grand Dragon)?
Thank you so much! And I was just recording the post game dungeon this morning actually before work :). I had to grind quite a bit off camera to get strong enough to take on Xenlon. I was able to beat him in 29 turns and now I'm grinding more to beat him in 15 turns or fewer. Going for a 3x Beast Tamer strategy.
Great video! I bought this game the other day and can’t wait to play it.
Is this on the ps4?
@charlieloudermill6529 it is not on ps4. PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC
This looks fun. I enjoy class options for replayability 😀
1:02 Difficulty settings. And the names are good.
Not gonna lie i was expecting the tough cookie personality in the beginning. Though Witty does have it's benefit . Anyway, great game 😀
I am not into jrpg with turn base battle system, well pokemon games are excluded, but I am so intrigued with Dragon Quest 3 because they said it is the main inspiration of the Yuusha vs Maou/Demon Lord in anime and comic tropes. So instead of buying one and playing the "Where the f- I should go" kind of game, I will just watch the whole playthrough heheheh.
I can't see the 1st post game dungeon (Xenlon) did you not include your playthrough?!
I don't know how to unlock this dungeon.
Xenlon fight is in my post game video (see description for link). I lost my capture of the citadel dungeon unfortunately, but you unlock it by defeating Zoma and then going to the shrine of the dragon queen to access the post game dungeon
@@JimmyLongplays I see you lost to record the 1st post game dungeon playthrough it's ok
and thank you for the info.
@@JimmyLongplays what happened to your postgame video it's gone can't watch it :(
I had to mark it private per Square Enix's guidelines to not post post-game content until December 13th, so it will be back up December 13th at midnight Tokyo time.
@@JimmyLongplays ahhhhhh ok I thought yer post game video deleted I'm glad ye didn't. yeah I'll wait to watch again.
oh btw are you replaying this post game again?!
Maybe I will buy it then
I can't access post-game content in Dragon Quest 3 hd. Can someone help me and know why?
After you defeat Zoma, make sure you save your completed file and load that one up and then head to the castle of the dragon queen. Towards the back there is a light to enter “???” Which is the first post game dungeon
@JimmyLongplays muchisimassssss graciass (L)
I'm about two hours in and feeling a bit mixed on it. It feels like there's really no characters or story, just: go to this town to find the key to open a door. And once you get there, another person tells you to go to another town to find some stone to open a portal, or whatever. Does that dynamic ever change? Feels hollow
Yes you have to keep in mind this is a 35 year old game being remade. These early JRPGs like dragon warrior and final fantasy have some overarching narratives, but aren’t exactly story driven. That being said, you can and should play this game to gain an appreciation for how many of the RPG elements are still incorporated into games today.
Not the full btw
Check out my post game video in the description :)
music ruined it for me
Interesting, it DOES look kinda cheap. Hm.
I think the game looks and sounds fantastic. Keep in mind I had to compress the video quite a bit to be able to upload a 24 hour long video to UA-cam. If you’re interested, I posted my full review of the game on BlueSky - bsky.app/profile/jimmylongplays.bsky.social/post/3lbdyypo6c22z
what exactly looks cheep about it too you it looks like a really well done game and the graphics look really good as well. if you think the graphics look cheep i ask you to pull up the graphics of the original and compare the too side by side like i did than you will realize they are not cheep just done in a different style,.not every game needs the final fantasy 7 rebirth treatment of graphics. the original as good as the game play was looked like crap witch is because the game came out on the nes and that is what the nes was capable of.
they also made the game very close to the original with added classes witch is a plus.
