Yoooo the guys name is dave mustaine. You will learn his name very well. He used to be in metallica till they booted him out for bein a drunk and he started megadeth.
New sub here man! There is a ritual you now must embody in order to fully understand this world - firstly, KNOW Dave Mustaine is the ultimate Metal-Master-Work 'Demi'- and with that every night when you pray to God, you should also consult Dave Mustaine for his opinion on the matter! - any of his first 4 albums will suffice
"Behold, your answers are within!"
@@joelabel7843 **For being an ANGRY drunk
MUSTAINE FOR PRESIDENT 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Seriously every solo has a different rhythm than the rest of the song has.
Dave is such a underrated composer.
"First mistake... LAST mistake!"
Highly recommend Megadeth "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?"
Dat bass !
Dat everything
Hang on!! Peace Sells is awesome!
You have to check out "Painkiller - Judas Priest", You'll love those drums :P
Been asking. Lol
YUS
2nd.....3rd....4thd.....you want drums....this will crush you
Megadeth and Judas Priest toured together for Rust in Peace/Painkiller. '91. My first concert
@@jima6545 Nice first concert damn !
This whole album is fire, start to end.
This whole album, Rust In Peace, is a masterpiece. For DRUMS, Take No Prisoners and, Rust In Peace Polaris. That last on ive not found a great live non dmca version. The studio lyric versions are great.
Yeah the entire album is super listenable
My favorite metal album of all time.
R.I.P. Nick Menza! So underrated...
When you need almost 14 minutes to deal with a 6.5 minutes long song. Holy Wars is just legendary.
Facts 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🔥❤️🙌🏽🤘🏽
Nice Bro! You should react to "Symphony of Destruction" or "Sweating Bullets" from them, they always have great drums.
Hanger 18, So Far, So Good, So What
Devils island
Marty Friedman is the second lead; it’s Flamenco is the guitar approach crossed with Middle East accents.
MEGADETH was my first concert. I was fifteen at the Palmeto Civic Center in Florida. Sanctuary opened for them, then WARLOCK. MEGADETH was on their SO FAR, SO GOOD, SO WHAT TOUR.
Dave Mustaine getting fired from Metallica made his career! You started with a good one to introduce yourself.
Dave Mustaine singer guitar
Nick Menza drums
Dave Ellefson bass
Marty Friedman guitar1
The dream team
MarTy Friedman
I think Mary is his sister, LOL!
RIP Nick Menza.
Now Welcome Kiko Loureiro
The best megadeth lineup right there.
Never in your lifetime, will you hear an arrangement as clean and technical as this. Best metal song of all time!!!!!
Opeth- The Moor
i dare you
Dave is a musical genius, been a fan of Megadeth since Peace Sells. Now if you can catch them LIVE if you want your mind blown!!
Just saw them a few weeks ago, they sounded incredible
Saw them live at Ozzfest back in the late 90s. Saw soooooo many good shows at Ozzfests. Was a yearly thing for me back then, only missed the first and last ones. Bummed about the last one, I'm in one of the few stops for that one and I didn't have the money. . .
This entire CD set a precedent for heavy metal. No one could beat this. It's a staple for metal
Iron Maiden: Hallowed Be Thy Name .....lets see them likes 👍🏼
The live version*
@@SuperZigaa the rock in rio 2001 version
@@frozengld yeah that one is really good
RIP Nick Menza
If you're doing more Megadeth do yourself a favor and check out The Conjuring and Looking Down the Cross.
People like you forced me to listen to the whole album for the first time in a decade,it was as 🔥 as ever, thanks man, good luck on your reaction journey 🤙
It's as technical as metal gets. Dave will not put up with mediocre players.
Dude, I love Megadeth and all...but, Metal sure do get more technical
@@MrSslam Yeah but shit like Periphery or Animals as Leaders or anyone at that level they get into a cool riff and kill it almost immediately so they can say its complex.
@@Minty.Fresh.Tunes. I agree that's true of a lot of prog metal, but certainly not all. Dream Theater deals with groove changes in a really purposeful way so that it adds to the emotional impact. Also Opeth, Soen. If we expand the genre to include prog rock I can name a hundred bands that do it right.
Technical death metal, thank me later. Some Spawn of Possession highly recommended
NOT LIVE
Megadeth are Legendary true Gods of metal
One of my favourite metal songs. That last solo is one of the best you'll ever hear. Great reaction !!
Fun Fact: lead singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine was once a band member of Metallica until he was kicked out of the group. Subsequently forming Megadeth! Check out “Symphony of Destruction” or “Sweating Bullets” next 🔥🔥🔥
I remember hardcore megadeth fans goin to metallica concerts in megadeth gear and turned backs to the stage with folded arms, and Metallica fans started likewise at megadeth shows
symphony and sweating bullets ? You got all this free megadeth on youtube and those are your fav songs ? Those are not even top 5 from that one album .
Kicked out for being too much of a party animal. I don't know how much you have to drink to get kicked out of a band nicknamed Alcoholica for drinking too much, but it's probably a lot.
Lars and hetfield were affraid of him. Isnt dave like a blackbelt in some martial art. I watched behind the music i believe and dave wss saying they were playing at a party and slme random dude was bullying lars so dave kicked thd guys ass. On a different interview i thought dave said he broke the buys arm.
If you like drums, you should react to She Wolf - Live - Rude Awakening! 😉
The "Mexican guitar" you're thinking of is called a Flamenco.
Spanish style
Rolando Rojas He called it a "Mexican Guitar sound" which is why I quoted it like that. I am aware that it's a Spanish style.
And its actually modified Sarod style. More Indian than Spanish.
And it’s not done on the electric guitar in the video. It’s a nylon string acoustic in the recording.
Bro this has been one of my favorite songs since I was a teen.
This was the best Megadeth lineup and maybe the best lineup in metal!
Definitely check out some Jimi Hendrix, hey Joe is a good one. He's a legend and I believe the live versions are less likely to be blocked.
Hey Joe live at the Monterey pop festival '67 is excellent footage and audio of Jimi
k you like drums alot, I HIGHLLLLLLY recommend Sepultura. The vocals well they are an acquired taste lol but the drumming OMG, Igor is on a level beyond when it comes to drumming. Check out Sepultura "Dead Embyonic Cells". Another good one I NEVER see reaction channels react to is Zack Wylde. He guitared for Ozzy and his vocals are alot like Ozzy's. Badass guitarist. Check out Zack Wylde "Stillborn".
Sepultura is definitely one of the best thrash metal bands of all time. Was lucky to get to see them with Pantera in 1994, my first concert.
Zack still plays for Ozzy. Saw him in concert a couple years ago; Zack went off riffing for almost ten minutes (to give Ozzy a breather, among other things.) It was great.
Metal & French Fries sounds like a bucket list concert
That head bop thing, we call it "Headbanging". If u can make it through 1 whole album, u'll have a neck of steel.👍🤘 Request, Pantera's We'll grind that axe for a long time...peace.
You brought back so many good memories of first hearing this song ❤❤❤ You are the first person to give credit to the drummer. All of your videos are so intelligent! Keep up the good work!
Peace Sells from this band is one I would like as well along with symphony of destruction, and sweating bullets all good but not gonna let up on you with that audioslave cochise video lol
You pointed out soo many details I've overlooked in probably my one millionth viewing of the music vid, you are meticulously observant, I appreciate the vid, keep it up bro
Watched Nic Menza ( the drummer ) live in 91 had two big fans behind him all night and was still drenched in sweat at the end of the show
Best metal song ever, best metal group ever, best music writer ever, Dave's a God !
Tornado of souls.. Another banger on drums by Nick menza👍👍👍
Hit up that audioslave cochise video lol come on people like this up
Little bit older, but very influential band Motorhead check their song Overkill it influenced Metallica and Megadeath sound very much:)
Try the live video of Pantera in Moscow.... song is Domination..... the breakdown in that song is legend....
Nick Menza, amazing great drummer, passed away to soon 2016, at 52, R.I.P.
Love it! Everyone says Hanger 18 but personally, Polaris is my jam. 😉
I've seen a lot of reactions to this, but yours is the best one. Respect.
I feel like your face during the second solo is just a natural reflex from such sonic destruction flowing through your ears 🤣
Man! Been a minute since I've seen the actual video of this song. The whole album is very good!!
Thanks bro. Great vid, great song.
Waited 2 years to finally see them live due to COVID and Dave getting sick. The show in St. Louis was amazing,.... short set but still amazing!
Dave Mustaine, the singer and solo master, was the original lead guitarist of Metallica. After leaving Metallica he co founded Megadeath. He’s incredible!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A masterpiece. And a great reaction. Thanks!
Megadeth - Shewolf from the Rude Awakening concert epic guitar and drum solos
Megadeth "Good Mourning, Black Friday" though not for the faint of heart.
This was awesome back in the day as well.
Though, just a warning, this is the kiddie swing of metal, it's a rabbit hole and minefield at the same time.
VIVISECTVID86 what do you mean rabbit hole and minefield?
@@leviticus6591 Rabbit hole...like Alice in Wonderland...going down the rabbit hole. It gets weird, it's dark and it gets very heavy.
Minefield: like any genre of music there are bands that are just bad.
Minefield because if you are not ready for the deep end of metal it will be shocking and could be a negative experience.
Metal comes in many sub genres and it's best to ease yourself into the heavier stuff. Your ear needs to become accustomed to the sound.
Metal often has a message, it can he political, it can be a social commentary, it can be existential, deal with religious beliefs or lack of belief or even just fantasy.
At the end of the your metal journey you will find what you like in the multitude of genres and sub genres.
Haha welcome to my world bro I have been into metal for years now since the age of 16 now years later I look back and see brothers like you enjoying something I did way back when. Nice to see!
Your face at 10:00 is just how I felt when I first heard this song in 1990😁 ..thing is still does that to me nearly 30 years later lol.
Drummer's name is Nick Menza. He passed in 2016 RIP
MEGADETH IS FIRE! - So many great songs for you to hear.
That whole album Rust In Peace is very good. The songs Hanger 18, Tornando of souls are popular from them as well. Keep up the Metal reactions, love them all so far.
This album was released in September of 1990. This year it will be 30 years old...
Dave Mustaine - guitar/vocals
Marty Friedman - guitar
David Ellefson - bass
Nick Menza - drums (RIP)
9:56 into the video you got the Fucking golden ticket. YOU GOT IT! you said the magic words. This is a legend song, and you explained it perfectly! I love you forever!!!!
Ok! Hello LFR fam! Only watched 5 vids and im in. I love the way you react, not to many stops, and you are into what your hearing. Im an older metal head "48", and was around almost since the start of this fast metal movement. My only suggestion for a band for you to drool on some drums is a band called "Atheist", dont let the name fool you, find any song from the album titled "unquestionable presense", any song from this holy grail of albums will be on your playlust for life, stay safe out there, peace out! Brian
Dystopia is a really good recent Megadeth's song!! Greetings from Colombia!
The best metal lineup ever! And I loved your line LOL he took a break haha
It's so nice seeing people enjoying real music. That grin on your face. It's pure energy. Yes, plus the lyrical content really makes you think. Another song that really gets the blood flowing is Slayer - War Ensemble
Holy wars is a two-parts song: The first is about war and Dave Mustaine's point of view about religion, and the second one (after the acoustic break) is about the comic-book character "The Punisher" from Marvel. It's probably on top 5 best metal songs ever composed.
This has been my go-to song for when I need to get a lot of work done (I'm a programmer) for years
You can't help but get hype
You’re fire my man!!
This is a very insightful and intelligent reaction to this song. Great work.
Hell yeah bro. There's like 5 -6 great songs on this album👍👍👍👏🔥💯👍
Dave mustane and Marty Friedman switched their amps to the clean channel with no overdrive distortion clipping the sound waves. I have a dimebucker pickup in my Jackson Rhoads v and it can put out a strong enough signal to get a couple of my amps to distort on clean channel
Nice reaction mate. Love the usual reaction to Mustaines solo of being gobsmacked.
I just subscribed. I really enjoy watching your commentary. I have seen these metal videos countless times and you have brought several things to light for me. Thank you...keep up the good work I'm a Slayer junkie but love Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera.
Check out Jason Becker with the lead guitarist here, Marty Friedman. Jason is crazy fast. Both are classical guitarists.
Jason has still composed music while having ALS. So heartwarming, inspiring, with beautiful music and messages.
I love that there are still people out there discovering this song!
Also I got 1st like #first! Hahaha. A good metal song for you to check out is my boy Ronnie James dio - last in line. Or heaven and hell. Or don’t talk to strangers. Order is my fave of the 3 if that helps you choose
Love the video. Great song. Supremely talented musicians. RIP nick menza
R.I.P Nick Menza the drummer. He died on stage of a heart attack playing drums in Brazil. He is a badass. Glad you dig it man.
Next is Megadeth Tornado of Souls. One of the best guitar solos ever.
im enjoying see you enjoying megadeth
I hadn't seen anyone mention it yet, and since you like drummers, here's a fun fact. The drummer here, Nick Menza (RIP), was the son of jazz saxophone legend Don Menza. Don was once in Buddy Rich's band, the "Tonight Show" band and recorded a great version of the famous "Pink Panther" theme song. Just a little something during these long, quarantined days. Stay safe everyone.
An interesting thing about a lot of “rock” guys is that a lot of us, guitars players, are fairly introverted and introspective personalities which leads to the hours upon hours we spent in our youth learning to play alone in bedrooms and crap garage bands with our like minded friends. Pouring out those awkward teenage feelings into music. So it’s funny that so many “rock stars” are really shy nerds that use music and the persona of “metal or rock” to belong while never really quite feeling like they do. Hence the prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse. Sad and comforting at the same time. We’re all posers on some level.
Also, the singer/guitarist for this band was an original member of Metallica. He got kicked out right before they recorded their first album. Then he formed Megadeth.
Actually I believe Dave got the boot just before "Kill em All" was released but he is the lead guitar on the album, not Kirk
@@rickyal9810 he is not. They booted him just prior to recording the album. Kirk is on every Metallica album. Dave is only on the demos
Saw this live HELL YA LOVE SOME MEGADETH
Nick Mendoza drummer
Found them in 86' when the 4 big metal bands came out. They were off and on, my favorite. Didn't see them live until 1999"...
Dave Mustaine. Nick Mendoza on drums, Jeff Ellefson on Bass, and Marty Friedman on the other guitar.
Thank you sir for this! Agree with Josh McCarty - Tornado Of Souls.
Dave with his white nut-huggers, bullet belt & no shirt. Pure Gold.
Nice! Appropriate choice. You know I was never one to pay attention to the lyrics in metal tunes. I do now! Really read some of Dave’s lyrics. He’s like the mailman, and Tomas sowell. He always delivers. I like your channel dude. You’re doing songs with the right messages, so far. Thank you. A shame tb3 drummer here passed away recently. Heart attack I think.🔥🤘🔥
This is one of those songs, that's a masterpiece from start to finish
Lamb of God-Laid to Rest!!! One of the best metal drummers ever
Dave Mustain is the lead singer also lead guitarist, drummer is Nick Menza RIP
When they recorded this in the studio, they probably used an acoustic guitar for that sound on the transition. But they do have effect pedals that will simulate that sound as well.
This was the best solo of all time. Just the best!!!
So that riff Marty(curly hair) played is on an Acoustic guitar on the recording. In this music video he fakes it on the electric guitar but is actually playing the corrects notes. The style of the guitar lick is of a middle eastern style. I assume because the lyric right before it says "Don't look now to Israel, It might be your homelands. Holy wars"
Never heard this one till now or rather it's been years since I heard it.
Great react vids man, new sub here
I am a happy suggestor of this song.
This is important Work.
“Next thing you know, they’ll take my thoughts away”
You’ve gotta do Sweating Bullets!
You should check out some Ghost! I would recommend “He Is” or “Pinnacle to the Pit”
"These dudes are on point." Yep.
Good stuff
With your love of drums you definitely have to react to the Machine Heads song Davidian. Kick ass drums.
