    This Track wasnt actually done by Soken, as part of the nier colab, Keiichi Okabe joined as the guest composer for this remix.

      Really? That's interesting!

    No. Please nerd out more. You'd be surprised but the way you nerd out shows your interest and passion the best way. Not to mention you explain it so clearly it's easy to share that enjoyment with you. To pull from your analogy of music composing to be like cooking, I feel as if I'm being spoken to a master chef explaining the process that went into creating a wonderful meal. If you've ever had that experience, you know that it causes the meal to be that much more enjoyable.

And when it played the first time you do the fight, I barely was able to complete my rotations because it was SO powerful. When I listen to this track, I can't wait to explore next parts of the NieR Raid. Was kinda disappointed that they choose twice Song of the Ancients, but Bipolar Nightmare for Engels was quite welcome. So now, I can't wait to discover which tracks they will feature. There are so many great songs and music from NieR & NieR Automata OSTs. Give me Grandma - Destruction, Emil - Despair, A Beautiful Song, Shadowlord, Kainé - Salvation ... I can't wait to listen to the new "collab" we may get between both OST from NieR & FF. We already know it will be AWESOME.
    That something we tend to forget to praise when it comes to FFXIV : The fandom is used to hear so many great tracks, we all have our favorites songs from Primals. Everyone was excited when we fought Niddhog the second time for obvious reasons. I have a soft spot for Tsukuyomi's theme because ... I don't even need to explain, it's awesome. With Shadowbringers the community learnt to love this annoying theme that is What Angels Wake Me, now we all call it FALALA. Innocence's one of course was also great, BUT The last primal of the 5.0. THE LAST ONE. IT ALL MADE SENSE. WE SAW WHAT YOU DID NAOKI-SAMA.
    Now every big patch we're like : Which awesome music we'll get to love this time ?

    Love your work! Hearing some of the inner melodies in the music brought to attention is really eye opening (or rather, ear opening?). I've seen from your FF7R battle theme remix that you also enjoy Shimomura's music, would you be interested to do a reaction analysis to the recent KH3 Remind DLC's rendition of "Vector to the Heavens"? Xion's theme has been re-arranged/orchestrated many times, and each time she adds something new and unique. The latest rendition I feel did something really interesting in the sense that she knows that the listeners know what is coming next, and (i think) plays with our expectations to add further suspension and relief. I would really want to see a musically inclined professional react and break it down.

      In FFXIV it's a crime to run this raid and not set the music audio to 100% for this fight. I never played Nier but just hearing this in the preview led me to do so much research about the game and gave me that much higher a respect for the track here, which was already incredible.
      I can't wait to see more of your stuff! It's fascinating to me as a musician who went into engineering to see a deeper theory background to the pieces while sharing the same enthusiasm for all the emotional musicality bits that just hit hard. Love it all, you rock and thanks for uploading!
      The Twinning would be wonderful just since it's a combination of other themes the playerbase has heard prior, and seeing things mixed and brought back together is always super cool. Absolutely gets my vote!

      TBF Blizzard are never wrong when it comes to 2 things : the quality of their music and the quality of their High CGI cinematics. All other things became so trash over the years that it really pains me to say that Blizzard is no longer a good firm. I mean Sc2 was really gorgeous to look at, the Warcraft's music is still appealing and Overwatch had some decent music however when it comes to gameplay aside SC2 it is very repititive and or is heavily lacking in fun factor. When a game company is more interesting with its cinematics and/or music more than their gameplay ( by a HUGE margin ) you know that it doesn't have the passionate people it needs in order to innovate and bring something new and fun to the table.

      Ouch. While I quit WoW because of what Activision has done managing it, I will definitely say Blizzard's grunt level guys making the content itself are putting their effort into the art and sound assets, the storytelling (the story itself may lack but the actual storytelling has been spot-on). But yeah, this is like some guys making some pretty good game music versus people several leagues above them in music composition. It's not even close, but it doesn't mean WoW doesn't have some good tracks with effort and love put into them, even now.
      Those Activision buggers can sod off though, give me back my classic Blizzard.

  • @bandgeekak87
    @bandgeekak87 4 роки тому +50

    If you'd like a "silly" track, look at Good King Moggle Mog's Theme, Titania's Theme, or even Brute Justice' Theme(just the normal one as it's pretty cheesy and power ranger esk). If you're looking for a good FFXIV meme, look into The Rak'tika Greatwood Theme #1 (Prepare for misheard lyrics and probably an influx of game references in the comments). If you like some baritone voices, try the second half of Ravana's Theme. Nael deus Darnus' Theme (Coil T9) is an interesting mix of rock, orchestral, and choral that evolves as the piece goes on with callbacks to other themes. If you're looking for a great all around orchestral theme with some powerful choral elements, look into Shinryu's Theme.
