The title of the video could also be - disabling all the useful features for windows that never had security in mind. WHY don't builders/window makers care about security at all?! It's upsetting
It’s a shame how we have to barcode ourselves in our own homes to be safe from thugs that’s not afraid to come into a person's home and not knowing what's on the other side of the door.
If you have double hung windows, the best think you can do is to replace them with single hung windows. There is absolutely no way to effectively secure double hung windows other then covering them with security bars.
The vinyl clips only block the lower sash window from opening. The top sash window can still be pushed down to allow access that way. It's not as convenient as using the lower one but still a security access issue. .
Thanks wanted to find something not so bulky. My house was being broken into like you said in the video. The idiot tried it while we were in the house at broad daylight too. It’s a shame. We’re all lucky including the burglar that he didn’t make it all the way in.
How do you open the window for cleaning the outside of the window? I assume then you would have to unscrew the piece of wood every time you want to clean them.
So, now you can't tip them in to clean them and even worse, if I slip the built-in locks with a butter knife I can just push down on the top window and still get in...right??

ON new windows only the bottoms move up - no ability to move top part down.

Great video,
Appreciate you player.
Thank you. What if it's a double hung window? Even with these 2 additional locks, couldn't;t they just push down on the upper window? Thank you.
Thank you--very well explained.
Some really great idea's... Thank You for shareing....
But as some others on here also asked, what can be done about the top or outer window....
Nice.
There are mixed reviews on this particular window lock...people claim they can still slide them...
What keeps the TOP window from being pushed downward after breaking the 2 stock locks?
Following
Video is great but it would make sense to install two more blocks at the top
Thank you!
how us suppose to clean the window then ?
thank you sir God bless you
Do you know the measurements of the brick molding?
Thank you. Im living in Downtown and scary. my window doesnt lock
My windows sit flash with the window trim , I have no edge to thread this into !
No problem
Where did you get the brick molding
James Palmer I thought he said Home Depot
Installing the "brick molding" will cancel your vinyl window warranty.

thats the way I see it
Cut a 2x4 or they sell adjustable ones and wedge it between the lip of top window and inner frame
After the thieves pop the locks, can they push the window in WITHOUT having to slide the windows up first?
Thank you
but if they break the glass they can open it?
Thank you so much 💗
That window is builder grade junk.
Thank you
