aux /headphone jack is a HUGE missed oppurtunity. Would be perfect with it. As many will have no way for their headphones or older recievers without hdmi/digital inputs, and some bluetooth speakers and soundbars.

My first gen Cube sucked. It would interrupt you with a beep after you said "Alexa" and it always seemed slow to respond to voice commands. I did love that it will play your alexa commands through it's speaker when the TV/audio system is off and through the TV/audio system when on. Integrate it with home automation, and it's potentially a great device. Even with multiple Alexa devices in the room I find they don't pick up your voice very well for all the mics they put in.
Hi, since my Internet line is a bit of a dancer ... I wanted to know if in Prime Video, but also in Netflix, download a movie / episode and then watch it quietly? Because unfortunately this is not possible with the Fire TV Stick
I wanted to get this but instead I got the FireTv 4K with an amazon echo. Much better. First the stick is out of site same features I can still control Netflix UA-cam and many other commands. Same remote. Only thing is I have a quad core instead of hexacore. Plus I got an Alexa Echo in white and the speaker is awesome. Price wise I spent 80$ on special. Finally the speaker on the cube is low quality and looks kind of ugly.
The micro USB throttles the eithernet speed. Thry should have used a full size usb that supports eithernet capabilities. And yes, if they can fit a eithernet port in a echo link, they certainly could have fit one in a cube.

Good if you prefer Ethernet connection and don't mind a slightly better Alexa voice system. Otherwise go for the Firestick 4K for much less money & have power just as impressive as this. Or at least spend more on the Apple TV 4K if you're not a fan of Amazon's ecosystem at all.
@@Tigerex966 Nvidia Shield is another great one too, how come I forgot about that one, lol. Roku doesn't have Dolby Vision nor HDR10+ which may be a dealbreaker to some people.
Not a fan of that piano gloss finish... fingerprints and scratches will definitely show up on that thing. They should have made it the same matte black as the remote.

Is it my imagination? It seems to me my PQ is better when using my Firestick 4K than the PQ provided using my Nvidia Shield......what do you and others perceive?

No contest. Shield gets my money.

Just buy a shield TV and forget this thing. I don’t normally disagree with reviews publicly but this misses the mark entirely. No amazon streaming device could be considered “ultimate” right now. No gigabit lan, no plex media server, no ai upscaling, no HD audio, and lots of gimmicks that don’t do anything to actually improve the experience.
I like it but do cinema hd all the other streaming apk work now I going to buy me one next Friday after this Friday run faster better than all fire TV box fire TV stick 4k first cube to I'm going be happy can you play all android game I know it run like android also can I play subway surfers
Should have tried streaming smart cameras and a call on echo show. That's the only thing which sets this cube apart from the fire tv stick I guess. So yeah, you missed the most important part in your review.
I just got one this morning and I am impressed by it very impressed. Traded in my other fire tv for this and pretty happy I did.

You can always buy an HDMI pass through to connect it to some speakers.

Can only side load certain apps on the Cube. I'll stick with the Fire TV Stick 4k for now.

100mbs is fine , 1080 is less than 20mbs when compressed and 4k HEVC is less than 60 mbs. its only a problem if your wifi is poor.

Not a "Power User's Streaming Device" w/o gigabit LAN and w/o HD audio for local media playback. Shield TV remains king!
Hands down Nvidia shield is the king. No USB for storage.
