Just stopped by to look at this teardown to see where the IR emitters are, and they're all over the bottom! Very surprising! This helps lots though with knowing where I can place this old thing. Thanks for the good teardown vid!
Do we know if there is anything internally that can be used to factory reset the cube? like a pin reset or anything - mine seems to be stuck in a boot loop and I am not happy with the trade in offer from amazon - thanks :)

It's soldered on, so it would be very difficult (though not impossible) to do, certainly not something most people could attempt at home. Also Amazon could well have prevented this in the software.
I dunno which one you got...but i do have the 2019 version and it rocks...my buddy has the latest nvidia shield...and this thing keeps up with no prob...i also see that its blowing my 4k firestick away with processing power...so your comment is very irrelevant and out of touch sir..maybe you got a dud.

Looks like they coulda made it so much smaller.. that big empty void just to make it a big cube seems a bit much.
Would have been great too see the memory taken out and a 128GB one put in, I assume this is possible as a 128GB can be connected too the micro usb.

I still use Sandisk Fuze mp3 player device.Its from 2009 and it works well with my Windows 10
