Today is 5/8/2020, I just saw this recipe video on UA-cam. I thought about a few minutes & checked, I had all the ingredients on hand & my wife & I will be having this for supper tonight. Just waiting on it to finish cooking! Thank you for the video.
I didn’t think Joe was gonna quit eating long enough to give his verdict! I was waiting for him to do the “thumbs up” and keep right on shoveling!! Lol. I would have done the same thing, that looked soooo good! Thank you Melissa!
My Daddy taught Me the way to a Good Man's heart is straight through His tummy.. We have been Married just 39 & 1/2 years.. I was BLESSED with a WONDERFUL GODLY HARD WORKING MAN.. I'm doing it Now! Thank you for sharing Melissa. We are all on self quarantine. Something to do and I have the ingredients. Even the Cajun seasoning. Got it about a month ago. Can't wait to do it. Hope you all are doing ok during this major pandemic. Please all be safe. Thanks again. Sincerely Michelle Pup Harley and Kitty Liam Arlington Massachusetts.
1. That looks amazing and simple, will definitely be trying this one out soon. 2. Joe might have found the best job in the world as your taste tester! 3. Every time I open that green Tony Chachere's cajun seasoning can I sneeze, totally cracked up when it got you too (your cajun seasoning might be homemade, but it has the same effect)!
Just wanted to let you know I made this, this past week. Excellent!!! I like that it is so easy to adjust to the amount of servings needed. It took me a minute to find this specific vlog so I could comment. I always write down any of your recipes that I want to try, but forget to write down the date and exact title.
Hi Melissa, Just a tip from a chef, place a wet towel under your cutting board to stop it from sliding around. Please give Joe that tip as well. I worry that you will get cut it moves to much. Love the videos that you both put out. Tony
I just made hobo dinner...…...boil 10 brats covered in beer...….then simmer 1 hour. Add fresh green beans, carrots, potatoes cut up and cabbage cut up in cubes. Cover with broth (I use chicken) bring back to boil, then simmer, lidded until all veggies are done. Serve with crusty bread and butter......Mmmmmm I love love love this meal along with the broth. Been eating this for bfast, lunch and dinner for 2 days....LOL
Thank you for replying Melissa. Yes, I stocked up early thank goodness, so beat the last minute rush when they were out of things. Will miss my family through this, but luckily can at least see and speak to them with my I-pad. I try to keep busy each day. You and Joe be very careful too, especially traveling a lot. Take care!
Looks delicious Melissa. Have to try this one day when my family can visit me again. Right now, because of my age, I have to be alone due to the virus. May God watch over all of us.
@@sheliaowens4498 - Thank you so much Shelia. I am a positive person and if we all do what we need to we will get through this. Decided to watch shows and videos like this as I have my children do the same live on our I pads. Like we are still together and enjoying something together. May even have fun and cook a new easy recipe over the iPad that they can follow along with me. Can also play a game together. Nice things to look forward to during this crisis. Always told my children "this too shall pass". And it will.
That looks really good, Melissa, I could almost smell it from here! Had to wipe the drool off my chin a couple of times but I promise I didn’t lick my iPad screen! I see now why Joe has to stay so busy, if he didn’t he would be like me and as big as a house eating all them good groceries! You’re awesome, keep up the good work, girl! 👍😁
Hi if you put a folded sheet of damp paper towel under your cutting board it won't slide and keep you safe from cutting your self, the videos are great ty.
Poor Chunky, I was going to bring him to work with me today and got halfway to work before I realized I didn't get him...LOL I didn't have time to turn around...Maybe tomorrow....
Just another dish that I'll have to make with my daughter! If the Wuhan Virus will go away before the 4th of July!! 2022 will be here, eventually, and I can be free of Trinka Davis... Semper Fidelis
Hey no problem at all I saw your cutting board move and I realized you didn't have anything under it . Yup I like to cook too . I am in ohio . How are you guys making out. That food bucket thing is a great idea for these crazy times . Thanks Daniel
Since the virus has shut the country down what better way to be spend our time in isolation. Good videos and good recipes to try instead of Ramen noodles. I bet you gave Joe strict orders to stay isolated as much as he can. Looks like Louisiana is becoming a hot spot with .nearly 400. In Ms we are at 50 cases. I just read that Sean Payton has tested positive for the virus. Please be ever vigilant Melissa.
Melissa, I have no doubt it’s delicious but I just can’t trust Joe’s opinion. I think he would eat a standing cow and leave only maybe very bottom of the feet.

Melissa, I have no doubt it’s delicious but I just can’t trust Joe’s opinion. I think he would eat a standing cow and leave only maybe very bottom of the feet.
You've never seen him try grits....lol He's not wild about grits hahaha
Why not just boil the potatoes and make everything else in another pot, then join together. Done
