This cat is an enigma. Always wears a long sleeve tee-shirt. Never shows his face. Never responds to any comments and absolutely NAILS every Stone's cover he plays. Both in technique, tone & all the subtle nuances that are lost to us mere mortals. A bloody amazing musician with mad, mad skills.
caffeinejo the Rolling Stones are not hard to reproduce sit down and try and reproduce some Jimmy Hendrix. His playing very hard to reproduce especially the stuff he did at Woodstock.
@@johnw8984 I agree, it's not hard once you figure out Kieth's tuning. John Lee Hooker always baffled me on his playing. Sat right in front of him many times at clubs and couldn't get what he was doing? And I really wanted to! It wasn't until I was shown open G tuning and miraculously there were all John's Chords! As for Jimi Hendrix, it's near impossible without the volume he played at. Jimi's rig took on its own sonic voice, if that's the term I'm looking for? But that's what made Jimi Hendrix so incredible. I just saw Monterey Pop the other night and his performance still blew me away. And I'm 66 years old!
Now that's the way I like to learn guitar parts. I don't need a 26 minute video on how to play a part. Just play it with the camera on what you're doing and I can get it from there. Bravo sir.
Thanks for a great cover of this song. I have never played it with a capo before, but it's obvious on this song in Open G where the capo is placed, and it sounds great. Thanks again.
Great cover. Please do more of the Stones live 69 and early 70s with Taylor. I have literaly been waiting impatiently for your next videos, because the're just that good. The perfect, spot-on playing, the tone, the video quality ... you rock man :)
Superb guitar work, as always. Perfect playing of Keith's rhythm part in this song. I believe all guitar parts on this song are acoustic, but I love the electric. I have a Vox amp that has an acoustic guitar setting. It makes any electric guitar sound like an acoustic guitar.
Spectacular my friend. Great playing, well shot, no 2 minute intro where you introduce us to your cats (🙄) etc etc. Really really well done. Thanks to you I just added this song to my Open G repertoire. And with the capo on the 4th I can go straight into Happy and Tumbling Dice.
Thanks for another great Stones song! Are you tuned to open G?. Sometimes Keith does this with an acoustic - any idea what tuning and does he use a capo when he does it on acoustic?
The magic of open tuning ,,,,,,,, Richards: "Five strings, one finger and an asshole"........ Everyone can do this, but only a few do it with feeling .
The original was done on an acoustic guitar in Open E lol, it's been done many different ways. The stuff you see on stage was nothing like the original, at least for most of the pre 1970's stuff. Jumping Jack Flash was done the same way as this one.
You don’t need a capo in this open G tuning .,just start at the 4th fret - 11th - 6th fret .. that’s it. Putting a capo on an electric in live performances is a pain in the ass .. sorry .. it just f ...s up your tuning big time.. so I never use one and I only use one guitar ..
Sound and sustain better with a capo, of course you can without capo but the sound not the same on the B chords. Keith Richards use a capo too for this song...

+ he disappeared 5 years ago...

Is the player Wayne Perkins himself?
@@ZeFernandoA2 Yes it is

I learned how to play this great song because of you. Thanks...
This is actually how Keith plays it. With capo.
great cover!!! You make very great Stones cover
Right on the money. Keith plays real loose but it's fantastic. You get every lick. Thanks man. It's always fun to play like Keith.
Perfect Ya-Ya's
Really cool friend... thanks for share it! Sounds like a thunderrrr!!!
J adore ta version tout à fait dans l esprit des stones une super énergie félicitation

Brilliant! Thank you.
I always learn something watching this guy.
1 word....PERFECTO🎸

Excellent and Accurate
GREAT!
GREAT PLAYING
great job thx,sir.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its Wayne Perkins who did play for the stones... Hand of Fate
William Bibb he did the solo on hand of fate. He is smart to not have joined them he may have turned into an alcoholic or a junkie
Awesome
Brilliant
Este toca muito. Sensacional
This guy plays a lot. Excellent
thanks mister

Ya Ya's at their best! Finally, the algorithm worked.
realmente sos muy bueno...
This guy is bloody good
AUsome!
On several videos I have seen Keith playing acoustic tuned to Open G with the capo on the fourth fret.
Killer job on the Open G tuning!
....like it. play on. :-)
great cover , I am looking for hte Mick Taylor part cover for this song..... but nobody tried ...
thank you!
You are a great guitar player!
Such a shame.... has superb talent, and I remember he played with the Stones - bless him....
The magic of open tuning ,,,,,,,, Richards: "Five strings, one finger and an asshole"........
Everyone can do this, but only a few do it with feeling .
The original studio version is in open D tuning.
good thing even the Stones aren't playing in the studio in this recording. :)
Superb, hey I hope you make some new videos
Ramones Street Fighting Man.. best
a question, do you learn about hear, tab, listening, studying?? Thanks mate!
Nailed it! How do you get the tone? What amp?
rabid wookie probably an Ampeg on the album it says amps by Ampeg.
Wayne Perkins? I know that name from The Rolling Stones, Black and Blue album.
Has anyone thought of the reason it sounds like Wayne Perkins is because it is him?
on the LP? or dubbed onto YA YAS? Wayne ,i thought came onto the stones scene for black and blue
jason Philpot no, does not sound like Wayne Perkins at all! Sounds like Keith Richards though. Not a bad feat!
How did you learn this?
What tuning is this
Standard tuning ?
Nice ; I thought it was done in C ; is that open tuning too ?
it is in C ,open G and kaypo to C
This Guy is in open G with a capo on the 4th ~ open B,,,Ya’s Ya’s version
guitar tuning?
this version seems diferent from the MSG show...
of course the low e string is removed for keith
Ron Wood plays it completely different. No capo.
Does Keith ever play this song the same way twice?
nope
not sure what kin dof guitar Richards used but the guy here cannot reproduce nearly the same sound on the opening notes.
The original was done on an acoustic guitar in Open E lol, it's been done many different ways. The stuff you see on stage was nothing like the original, at least for most of the pre 1970's stuff. Jumping Jack Flash was done the same way as this one.
@@Fuq2 I had a sneaking suspicion it was done the same as the other famous song.
How basic, powerfull and violent is this guitar part to play ! Punky.
Tuning??
Tune to open G and take the 6th string off the guitar.
This must be Mick Taylor
you cannot do it beter........
You don’t need a capo in this open G tuning .,just start at the 4th fret - 11th - 6th fret .. that’s it.

Why have that annoying 6th string?
Do it on a acoustic guitar like the original version. Lame.
This kind of looks fake
