Well, you are almost right. The first album is in medieval times, while the second album plays in the distand future of 1992. Both Angus McFife's are different, while the evil wizard Zargothrax is the same guy because he was frozen by AngusMcFife in the first album and reawakes 1992.

Hoots has a few different meanings from my brief search on the interwebz, so I'm not sure which meaning Gloryhammer is using here. One older meaning indicates that it's a kind of caricature of exaggerated Scots-ness. The over-the-top brogue accent or quips, highland dress, etc but it's used in a derogatory, dismissive way to say a person is crazy or ridiculous. If that's the case, then I would say the Hootsman would be none other than the non-Scots Mel Gibson (and not Arnold), who's portrayal of William Wallace is met with mildly amused derision in Scotland. That he lives in California would also confirm this usage of it, as that's where Mel lives too. The other meaning of the definition is considered to be a Scotticism that literally means, "hey, man!" Now how this could be connected to Arnold Schwarzenegger is anyone's guess, but the line from the song, "Deep inside the Hootsman there lies a secret heart Barbarian is a cyborg powered by a neutron star" does have both Conan and Terminator references which would give credence to him being Arnold. Not because of the difference in genres. But because the Universe would be set On Fire, even though No Bullet's Fly, neither the Hollywood Hootsman, Angus Mcfife, The White death or the Ghost Battalion could survive that encounter. The Winged Hussars would need the Astral Hammer and even then, it would more likely be their last stand in a attempt to survive.

It was written as a reference to him. In one of their later songs, they sing about the barbarian being a cyborg while he detonates earth. Obviously a reference to Conan the Barbarian and Terminator.
