Your reaction to the broken English is quite expected and warranted. So great. :D

You absolutely have to get around to "The Fires of Ancient Cosmic Destiny" some time! These guys are so good, it's so unashamedly cheesy that it just becomes epic somehow, like power metal should!
If you're looking for more Unicorn content from Gloryhammer, I believe their song "The Land of Unicorns" is much better and features much stronger singing! Also, my favorite Gloryhammer song is the one called Gloryhammer!
You have to have some s-tier confidence in order to deliver a professorial vocal analysis whilst wearing a chrome onesie and unicorn wig. Impressive, to say the least.
Been following your channel for a couple of months now. Seeing how your reactions are to the metal songs I grew up with (I'm 62, and have seen Judas Priest live several times in the 80's), was intrigued to see a band it didn't know. Gloryhammer is Glorious! Spent the rest of the night watching their videos. Great job, great find.
I can't wait till you examine more Gloryhammer! They're so good! Also, you really need to hear the band Therion since you're an opera singer that likes metal. 👍
Living a few miles from Crail in Fife, and working across the River Tay in Dundee where the HMS Unicorn is berthed, there's another dimension to this for me.
Amazing trailer! :-D I hope you will react to their “Land of Unicorns” too some other time (it can be seen/heard in the Live at Wacken concert which was aborted by Zargothrax’s spell). Looking forward to your full video later!
Late to the party. Loving the journey. Classically-trained musician here who is wandering through this wonderland of hard rock, metal, etc., and enjoying every bit of it! You're a kindred spirit whom I will never meet. Just wanted you to know that your reactions validate my experiences. Like looking into a mirror with video. Probably many other followers as well.
Power metal is just pure fun. I really hope you will give Freedom Call some attention in the near future. From over 20 years there are plenty of songs to choose from ;)
I was at an Alestorm gig in Brighton UK many moons ago and they played this live for what they said was the first time . it was awesome. A year or so later the great Glory hammer were formed.
HAIL HOOTS, Next you must accept the quest to travel to "THE LAND OF UNICORNS" Elizabeth. Regarding Guitar Hero, That is basically a dead game at this stage. Their is however a free fan made version on PC were people make and upload all sorts of music to play.
I think I may have fallen in love with rainbow-fringed, silver-suited Unicorm-Elizabeth... I love your joy in and enthusiasm for this particular song; and, of course, the unicorniness (is that a word? I don't know. I guess, even if it wasn't, it is now). So magnetic. Mind you, it's never explained exactly *why* Zargothrax wanted to conquer Dundee. Perhaps he really likes cake.
The sheer giddy joy she expresses is honestly one of the major contributors that pulls me through these weird times. And now in silver and rainbow unicorn edition 😗👌
@@Terroropfer - TBH, I wasn't able to follow all the lyrics. The unicorniness was filling my senses. I'm kinda attached to the idea that Zargothrax really likes Dundee cake.
@@Terroropfer Yes. He tried to open up a portal to summon Kor-Virliath, Elder God of the 18th Hell Dimension. Gosh, I love your energy! And I really appreciate how you can both enjoy the cheesy silliness of the lyrics combined with the actual skill of the musicians. It's pretty great. Can't wait to see what you think of the Rise of the Chaos Wizards video
You are right about there being more mics. Basically every member has a mic for backup vocals, it is actually one of the reasons I love Gloryhammer. Also the Zargothrax voice is usually the keyboardist (Since each member is a character in the story)
@@deanrobinson7626 huh. Interesting. Who's the new Zargothrax then? I know that he was involved with Wizard thrown, and is totally involved with Alestorm. I guess that since Alestorm & Gloryhammer do shows together that I thought that he was still in the band/ logistics etc.
@@Themaxwithnoname Pretty sure Chris still does some of the voice acting for the recorded bits (Chris himself has said Michael did some of it for the newest album though), since it isn't feasible to tour with 3 different active bands :P The touring keyboardist is Michael Barber (That may change though since he is also doing guitar for Wizardthrone as well now)
@@Thorinori well Wizardthrone has members from 4 different well known bands so I think he will stay with Gloryhammer who can tour way more easily than Wizardthrone will be able to do it. It makes the video such a delight to watch, not just for the way you break down the song and analyze it, but the joy you show. And keep the costumes comming. ^_^ There's two songs I would love for you to react to. The first is "The Great Gig in the Sky" by Pink Floyd. I feel this song was MADE to be reacted to by you. It's all about the vocals, and the version from the Pulse consert will make your soul weep in joy! The other wish is for the "High Hopes" with Nightwish. It is a cover from Pink Floyd and it really let Marko shine as a vocalist. Keep doing what you're doing. You're awesome!

Have to say that the best part of all these videos is watching the facial expressions and body gestures of this young woman. She really gets caught up in all her reactions and reports. Keep on as if I weren't here watching.
Elizabeth gets a like just for the unicorn video costume. Never mind the tongue-in-cheek D&D references. Oh yeah, and there's an epic cheesy power-metal song. What's not to like? Metal Must Be... even if it has unicorn horn bling and it's dipped in cheese.
Gloryhammer, bringing fun back into music since... uh... they were formed? Awesome, fun and I so love that you're embracing your inner unicorn. You should never really let that go! :)

Gloryhammer was actually the first song by the band with the same name she reacted to.
You have to have some s-tier confidence in order to deliver a professorial vocal analysis whilst wearing a chrome onesie and unicorn wig. Impressive, to say the least.
very appropriate in context.
Hey Elizabeth!!!Have you heard "ANGUS McSIX" yet!!!!!?????Winkler's new band!!!!
Somehow I've never listened to Gloryhammer. Love love love your reactions. Your channel is a lot of fun and pretty smart.
I can't wait till you examine more Gloryhammer! They're so good! Also, you really need to hear the band Therion since you're an opera singer that likes metal. 👍
Warms my hearth to see you enjoy these guys so much. They're awesome human beings. Enjoy them live! Hope you have the best of times
Living a few miles from Crail in Fife, and working across the River Tay in Dundee where the HMS Unicorn is berthed, there's another dimension to this for me.
As someone who is born and bred in Dundee the unicorn invasion is every Saturday night
dead or undead?
Obviously it's a unicorn suit of +4 silliness, which means this reaction is going to be epic!
Well, it already is a Gloryhammer song about flesh eating laser unicorns, so it's already maxed out in silly, but the suit just fits :D
It is +4 silliness, but when Elizabeth rolled for charisma the dice came up "yes".
Only useable by bards. ;)
The Horn of Ocus can only be destroyed by the power of the Silver Horned Elizabeth-Unicorn....
True fact
You had so much fun XD , Gloryhammer are one of my favourite bands, its awesome to see a vocal coach/opera singer enjoy them too
Amazing trailer!
Gotta love the little detail of a song about unicorns opening up with a gallop beat.
I just love her! Her smile is so bright and enthusiastic, like the sun blasting its way through the clouds
Looks interesting, might have to put off bed time for a while. Also love the costume, the fluffy wrists are awesome :)
I’m so happy that this is your Tuesday pick!! Listening to all the albums you get taken on an amazing fantasy journey!
Been waiting oh so patiently for this.
"That was a beautiful production of the word DIE" LOL 😂
HAIL HOOTS, Next you must accept the quest to travel to "THE LAND OF UNICORNS" Elizabeth.
Regarding Guitar Hero, That is basically a dead game at this stage. Their is however a free fan made version on PC were people make and upload all sorts of music to play.
WOW!! you just got me hooked on a new band.
And now in silver and rainbow unicorn edition 😗👌
isnt he performing the ritual in the dungeons below dundee that forces angus to destroy earth?
@@Terroropfer - TBH, I wasn't able to follow all the lyrics. The unicorniness was filling my senses. I'm kinda attached to the idea that Zargothrax really likes Dundee cake.
@@Terroropfer Yes. He tried to open up a portal to summon Kor-Virliath, Elder God of the 18th Hell Dimension.
And technically, it was the Hollywood Hootsman who destroyed Earth by detonating the Neutronic Transnova Bomb that served as his cybernetic heart.
Yes, I have listened to Apocalypse 1992 too many times....
Christopher Bowes of Alestorm is the keyboardist.
@@Themaxwithnoname hasn't been since 2015
@@deanrobinson7626 huh.
( and Gloryhammer is financially way more profitable than Wizardthrone at the moment so it would be strange for him to leave that situation, especially after Covid.)
One thing i love about this song is that the guitar is the same speed as unicorns galloping
...watching this after the news from the split between Thomas and Gloryhammer makes it bittersweet but your reaction was (as always) amazing.
A new storyline must be written and, sadly, with a new hero.
Just saw it in metall news a bit ago. Damn!
Tbh, I listen to them because of Thomas, his vocals make the band
@@peter-8483 Thomas did set a really high bar but I think they'll find a suitable replacement. Sucks that he's leaving after Bloodstock tho, I hope he gets into another band soon becouse those vocals shouldn't be left idle for long
They will struggle to recover from the chats more
The more important part of that news, the racist and misogynistic group chat is a little more damning than losing their lead singer.
I was having a bad day until I saw your reaction, and it really picked up my day. Not sure how I missed this for two years.
Is it true or just a rumor of the "charismatic grapvine" that Elizabeth will attend the Gloryhammer concert in this costume?
Absolutely wonderful! Your excitement over the fantasy story being told by Gloryhammer gets me excited for it. And I'm absolutely going to steal half their story for my own D&D game sometime. 10/10 MORE GLORYHAMMER!
Now that Elizabeth has listened to Gloryhammer a couple of times, maybe it's time to listen to one of the legends of Symphonic Power Metal: Rhapsody.
I'd love her reaction to Emeral Sword or Dawn of Victory (the original ones with Fabio Lione)
Totally agree! I'd love to see a reaction on one of these songs!
Excuse me, it's pronounced Eeemeralll Swwwwwword.
💯! TBH, I'm totally addicted to the way Fabio & Dan sing it together, with Dan's band Fearless blowing us away too.
Fabio Lione & Dan Vasc
Greetings from Norway. Long time watcher, first time commenting.
Just got to say I love the way your whole body reacts. It makes the video such a delight to watch, not just for the way you break down the song and analyze it, but the joy you show. And keep the costumes comming. ^_^
There's two songs I would love for you to react to.
“Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn. Then, always be a unicorn.”, Jaime Murray
I have been geeking out to this song for like a month now I am so glad you reacted to it!
Absolutely made my day when i woke to this
First time hearing this song, awesome, will be checking it out more.
Gloryhammer is my absolute favorite band, and i'm so glad that you're hearing this song, i would love if you listened to more gloryhammer or other cheese metal bands like grailknights or Victorius
Definitely +1 for Grailknights. (and definitely another one for more Gloryhammer!)
I've never heard this band! I live an hour and a bit away from Dundee. Spent a lot of my teenage years there, they were the best.
RIP Gloryhammer... Your music will be incredibly missed.
New singer and gloryhammer was 👍👍
Gloryhammer make me proud to be Scottish! 🏴 Thank you Elizabeth 😁👍
P.S, love your videos, so great watching your enthusiasm for all genres (especially metal 🤘🏻)! Always good to see a fellow geek 😊
Oh, very sneaky. I saw you dressed as a Unicorn with Gloryhammer behind you storming forth in the froth of war and I about kept for joy - then I noticed it was a 2 minute 10 second video…the sun sunk low…and I noticed it was a preview before me. Oh cruel unicorn overlord…why must you play with our emotions so? 😉
Watching you listen and react always brightens up the day, just like awesome music by GloryHammer.
What a fun track, saw them perform it live, it was a great show! I once again recommend Battle Beast - Bringer of pain, a super powerful voice!
+1 for battle beast! Noora Louhimo is a metal godess!
Gloryhammer, bringing fun back into music since... uh... they were formed? Awesome, fun and I so love that you're embracing your inner unicorn. You should never really let that go! :)
10:21 The person you heard singing is probably Christopher Bowes. He is also the lead singer in Alestorm, another band you should check out.
Love the increase of appreciation for this type of music from everyone, I notice you start to head banging, love it. It's natural jejejej Cheers! Great channel
We need a tea time with Angus McFife XIII.
3:56 - definitely some headbanging. Assimilation into Metal complete 😊. I also love to see how much fun you have.
The singer Thomas Winkler, has one of the most powerful voices i have heard along with Dio. Amulet of Justice is in my opinion his magnum opus, taking his voice to the limits.
