Pete Thorn = Consummate Professional Pete, make any video about anything. Yeah, I'll gladly watch it. :) We need a Pete Thorn/George Lynch/Reb Beach supergroup. NOW....
Both of these guitars are absolutely amazing!!! Amazing playing as always, Pete. Riff is like a cross between Dokken and something off of Eat Em and Smile. Can't go wrong with those two!!!
WOW - Pete, you nailed the playing and Suhr nailed the graphics - only thing missing is the bouffant hair, wrestling boots and a pair of Ed's parachute pants - DUDE!!
You had me at the gated snare, haha -- The zebra one is pretty cool. I think the neon rake is a bit more 70's, tho. Really great licks as always. And, yes, I was alive in the 80's and rrmember it clearly as opposed to what I had for lunch this morning.
Crazy how the maple neck drip guitar was dark and quiet, and the stripe with rosewood was bright and punchy/loud. Pickups make a HUGE difference if indeed they are different between models, but just shows how minimal difference maple vs rosewood actually matters ;) Both had nice vocal mids, but the stripe had just a TAD more boosted mids too it seems. Honestly, both sounded killer, and I'd buy BOTH! (If I could actually afford either.....) :(
No problem at all Pete. I'm a player too and your phrasing, timing, note selection, melodic sense and technical skills and chops are right up there with the best. In other words, you're a real musician - opposed to a show off! ;)
i loved the tone out of the zebra guitar or tiger guitar. Does it have a kill switch? Very cool feature. Does the G.Govan model have a kill switch too? Awesome playing Pete.
Why does the b/w guitar have such a scooped sound compared to rainbowy guitar with the same pickups and signal chain? I noticed this in the other vid when you played with Stevens as well.
Equalizer and EFX differences result in a different tone: the highs and lows are boosted and mids are scooped out of the tie die rig, while conversely the zebra guitar had the highs scooped with mid boost and lows flattened.
Pete. Please at least try to make a wrong note of something. You're too damned fantastic in.evetu way in your singular seat at the throne of numero UNO.
I don't know why there is always this assumption that every 'shredder' wants a Floyd Rose unit. Personally I think they are a crude, outdated design. They are also tone killers. I wouldn't use them if you paid me. And 24 frets with a neck pickup is a mistake too because it negatively affects the sound of the pickup because it is closer to the bridge.
the Floyd rose has not been matched, they do not take tone away either.i agree to an extent about the 24 frets,i prefer 22 frets,a pair of buckers and a floyd OR a hard tail.
Petes tone on this video is better than everything one of your videos on your page...Just saying, if you can play it doesn't matter what you're playing.
Pete Thorn = Consummate Professional
Pete, make any video about anything. Yeah, I'll gladly watch it. :)

You said it. I wanna grow up to be like Pete. Which is saying a lot 'cuz I'm already 62 :)
Anytime I see this model, all I can think is Uncle Ben. lol
Bro I same here💀
Nice licks and cool phrasing. Can't beat it
Pete is just a fantastic player and from watching interviews with him and his gear review videos he seems like a pretty cool, down to earth guy.
Pete Thorn is what I want to be when I grow up. Sickest guitarist ever!!🤘🏻
Pete music is always joyful, catchy, Pete is the man!
Awesome Steve Stevens guitars. Amazingly Cool Playing
Thanks Pete.
Great playing Pete!
Love the George Lynch/Warren Demartini vibe on the rhythm track:-) Nice!
Great guitarist, great guy, he "suhr " is a master of his craft
lol
Pete is an absolute BEAST!!!!! Excellent as always Pete..
Both of these guitars are absolutely amazing!!! Amazing playing as always, Pete. Riff is like a cross between Dokken and something off of Eat Em and Smile. Can't go wrong with those two!!!
Ya that's what I was going for! :)
WOW - Pete, you nailed the playing and Suhr nailed the graphics - only thing missing is the bouffant hair, wrestling boots and a pair of Ed's parachute pants - DUDE!!
that was sick, always the melodic sense in everything he plays...5/5 wish it was 10m long
I would give a 100 bucks if somebody would break these licks down for me. This guy can do magic. 80's but still feels modern.
use your ears and your eyes for fuck sakes, what is it with these tab tab tab tab tab guys?
If I buy one , I’ll hit u up. I looking at on now. I could break all this stuff down for you
Boy does that take me back!
"Hey there, Pete thorn here!" is the only missing part :D
Great job!
My bucket list has one item. Play like, and be as cool as Pete Thorn. Gustavo Rondon said it all!
F'n killer!!!!
Thanks Alex!
Absolute badass video in every way! ...the Tiger Stripe!!!
Wow, that made my morning!
Oh, a killswitch! Nice. I didn't know it had one. And that tone, man. What great playing! Very inspiring. Gotta try this rig out. Great job guys!

very nice Job Peter!!
Ahhhh the 80's....!
Damn that was badass!!!!
Great guitarist!!!
Awesome as always Pete.
The neon drop is too cool. Will the melted neon give me the face melting skills?
I like that Zebra guitar! You are awesome Pete. 🤘

Awesome tones!! Love that white tiger stripe, but the Neon Drip is causing seizures!
The main riff is very reminiscent of Dokken's Burning Like A Flame, very cool!
you mean "It's not love"
ironz18 I kind of get a Van Halen's "Little Guitars" vibe!
Great playing Pete! Sounded really cool.
thanks Tim
Sweet licks

One fucking cool guitar player....
Quinker thank u!

Nice
George Lynch's lost brother.. 😊😊
In any decade, this is the pinnacle of musicianship.
0:47 was awesome
this reminds me a little of george lynch mixed with a little evh with a twis and your own voice. nice work.
i loved the tone out of the zebra guitar or tiger guitar. Does it have a kill switch? Very cool feature. Does the G.Govan model have a kill switch too? Awesome playing Pete.
Id love to see that guitar in a custom color tho!.
Think TVR car paint, that two tone stuff... It would look killer!..
Fire!!!!
Bring back the white tiger, i want one!!!!!
Where do I get either one of these suhrs!? cannot find one anywhere
Maybe I missed it but what are the pickups in these guitars? Great sound and playing…
Doug Aldrich signature set
Pete is such a damn tasty player!
The necks you play are opposite headstock positions of the Suhr I own. I better throw mine away.
yeah,no reason to play a chinese suhr fake is there....
He and John 5 should tour together !!
Why does the b/w guitar have such a scooped sound compared to rainbowy guitar with the same pickups and signal chain? I noticed this in the other vid when you played with Stevens as well.

smokin'
Is this a new run of the 80's shred guitars?
Treacletron - yes
Just out of curiosity, what did you use as an IR for that clip?
this is rock!😈
top
this guy...
The molten steel, 'is ready'.
Video makes me glad to be Swedish
What's Swedish about this?
Those guitars are cool but not big on reverse headstock guitars. Total 80's shred machines for Suhr (
Great playing as always, but why the Hitler look?? Grow your hair again dude, looks sooo wrong!!!!!
What delay?
Why did he stop?
I guess his concept of 80s shred is different than mine.
Not one sextuplet, tapped note, or sweep arpeggio?????????
Comn those are zebra stripes
What distortion?!?!? :)
signal path is in the description :)
mainly just the amp, the koko is boosting mids and gain a bit for just the lead parts
Thanks Pete! Great video!

Featuring Pete Thorn????😕
'Suhrly'you mean
Staring the one and only Pete Thorn😆
Pete. Please at least try to make a wrong note of something. You're too damned fantastic in.evetu way in your singular seat at the throne of numero UNO.
Not very 80s to me, but its ok
