i am 55y old. i have seen and hear all kinds of metal, hard rock, rock, and others since the start of them. i play guitar since i was 14. i can say that these guys are 2 of the best guitarist i ve ever heard. i think they can play any style of any known guitarist on this planet!
Besides the fact that these two guys just shred the shit out of the fretboard...what I find just as amazing is their LIGHTNING FAST ability to switch back and forth between the rhythm and treble toggle!!! Damn!! Great job guys!!
What I'm most impressed with is besides the mind blowing tapping, shred,...etc is the clarity and accuracy.

That's probably the LESS IS MORE brigade out there, as they were simply appalled at the obscene display of guitar wankery here. Me, I just loved it. My fav of all 3 STYD volumes.

I saw them in 2016 headed Sebastian Bach at Mavericks in Jacksonville. They were awesome. They were originally on a show in vh1 called breaking bands. UA-cam it . It was a good show.
Imagine that it was common to see these guys playing in a small club in Finland. Before covid, obviously.
I literally watch this EVERY time I see it. Then I go grab my Les Paul like I'ma shred like these dudes then I get depressed when I find out really quick that I can't...
That's why I put my les paul in drop D and just groove it out, it's excellent for that.

Okay. Just discovered these dudes. Went to Amazon and purchased all three releases. No pause. This band is badass. I’m 48, so I lived through the metal of the eighties. Santa Cruz is a decendent if that pop-metal lineage. Hail.

Unfortunately, as kick-ass as these guys are, they won't be selling out arenas and have platinum albums and top 40 FM radio singles like a lot of hard rock / metal bands had back in the 80's. Granted, they're a nice and refreshing throwback to a bygone era, but this is as good as it will ever get. Just enjoy it for what it is, because they won't achieve household name status.
Both guys are incredibly awesome! That second solo is so amazingly bad to the bone. The first is almost as fantastic. Guitar World wake up! These guys need a cover story.

Same but try the downward pick slanting approach both of these players use it. Its really helped my shit picking technique wish I knew about how bad my RH technique was back then.

People that dont play guitar cant understand the genius of these two, they are the 0.00001% of players that can do this, its like a master of a violine but taken to another level, someone that can riff and change tempos mid flight. It take discipline of a pro athlete to achieve this and it breaks my heart that the space for these musicians every year is getting smaller
