    Throw in some open string harmonics, wham bar wiggle, and a Boss Chorus and you're in the zone - the 80s zone!

    Came back here to say I bought your 80s guitar course. It’s one of those courses that three lessons in has lit lightbulbs in my brain. The kind of tuition that only comes from a genuine enthusiast that’s been on the journey. It’s excellent, and for 30 bucks it was a steal.

    LOVE me some chorus-y 80's riffs, especially with the 'pedaling'! While my main interests lean a bit harder/heavier, I grew up with Ratt and Dokken and the like, and they were SO influencial to my guitar playing as a beginner. I wholeheartedly applaud 80's week! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I'm just amazed at how much my progress was slowed by knowing barre chords before working with triads. With full barre chords, the options were so much more limited, but as soon as I broke them down into diads and triads, the whole instrument came alive! Your work here is a great example of this. All the great guitar players knew this, but I didn't know and so just played barre chords all the time. Glad I know now.

    • @nitromeda
      @nitromeda 11 місяців тому +1

      Agreed 100%! Barre chords are like Lego bricks glued together. If you had them all separately from the beginning, creativity would flow much more easily. Take notes, guitar teachers ;-)

    That was 42 seconds of superb riffing and soloing. Great intro!
    That open b making use of the major 2nd interval is great because it can be used in most settings whether major or minor… fun stuff and makes the guitar take up a lot more sonic space.

    I do this kinda by default, and have been ever since the VH, Ratt years. I mix it in with other styles, and it works very well. Even in clean mode and mainly by accident. The audience loves it because I don't try to show off, but I use it to "dress up" common songs and use it sparingly. It works. Never really gave it this much thought though..

    VERY GOOD VID! There is some great music out there but even now today my favorite music is what I listened to as a teen in the early 80's! I feel blessed to have witnessed in person these metal gods creating iconic music on the stages. I attended hundreds of concerts and saw and heard them all and I am very pleased to see that a younger generation of musicians hears and appreciates what I have always felt is the best music ever produced in the world, LONG LIVE THE 80's !!!!!
