- EPISODE #11 of what will be a long journey on this Southern Illinois 8 acre property investment! It looks much more like a JUNK YARD, but we (kind of) think we know what we are doing, LOL! This is real world real estate investing and not some scripted flip or flop hype show! Join us here for this 11th episode and many more to come as we begin to tackle this investment property cleanup. Mrs. Kapper will be working on salvaging stuff from the old homesite, the chicken coop, old barn boards, rustic tin and smaller items, and Curtis Rogers (the new land owner) will be working all of the logistics for selling items, working with scrappers and scrap yards, dumpsters, transportation of certain items, and all other land administrative items and I will be helping out with the dirty work, bringing in my machines!! Woo Hoo!! Doesn't this all sound like fun!! Of course it is CERTAIN to be another life learning experience, but hey, hopefully Curtis can make some profit on this one when it is all said and done and we can bring you a very fun, yet educational special DIY series on how all of this stuff works. Thanks for joining us, and please, if you enjoy this kind of content, Like and Share it for us to help us grow our audience and Kapper team here on our channel, we'd greatly appreciate that! LOL blur out the crack. The International tow truck is in pretty good shape! It loaded up on the trailer without too much of a struggle!
I was glad to see that too! Thanks Mr. Kapper!
That is good to see all the equipment being sold pretty fast
Ain't gonna lie, the ole tow truck caused me a lack of shut eye. I'm glad someone saw the value in saving it from death row!
Nice job finally trailer with a winch and a vehicle that's tires hold air and rolls easy lol. Keep up the good work
The old Dodge Ram charger didn’t look to bad either,I wonder what was the date on that tow truck tag.
We use similar tow trucks at the circle tracks here, you need that beautiful font push bumper to get cars off the track fast. Wheel lift not necessary, just a cable from the boom to roll them back on the wheels and drag them to the nearest slideback truck. Considering yours is 4WD, once you get it Running it's worth atleast $3-$5k. 👍👍
Well the young man got a good deal on it and I think he's going to rehab it it should be a beautiful rig. Thanks
Amazing how fast you are selling all that junk.
Thats a good thing. Better than going to scrap yards.
One bit at a time. 👏👏 Now find the dozer , good 'hunting '. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and healthy 🇬🇧
Saw you guys out there getting after it on Sunday morning !
Good stuff, did you honk a few times? Should have stopped to say hi! Take care
@@kapperoutdoors I did ! Had just finished up duck hunting down Flat Woods. 👍👍
@@jkthomp01 i heard a honk!😀 good thing you didn't stop. Your truck bed might have been filled with tires when you got home! 😅
@@CedarBluffRustics haha !! I've already got enough of those to get rid of as it is !
That case 730 or 830 could be brought back. Those things were tanks.
4x4! Perfect for rescue operations
No doubt!!
Well another one says good bye to the property and finds a new home to boot. Your getting there for sure.
Dang, the old International is a cutie.
That international is worth a bit of money. I had one, wish I still had it
I can not explain it but there is something satisfying about watching you work.
Thanks. Maybe its because I try to get stuff done! :)
Like that old Johnny Cash song, One Piece at a Time
I'm so clad to see the old come back to life
Hey Kapper... Well Done and you're a "Good Friend" ';-)
Looking good plenty room appearing slowly would be brilliant of you can find the dozer.
yeah we really made huge progress so far. I'm doubtful on the dozer unless he could have got it stuck in the pond and it's underwater never know
@@kapperoutdoors I'll hit up my mate again see if his is free yet. Will give you a message if it is so that he can arrange to drop it off
Stuff is moving out fast!
It is! Hurry to get your free tires!!!! 😀
Love to have that cornbinder tow truck
Great video, I hope they get it going or put the old Holmes bed on a. Different truck. Never had a Holmes winch fail, always maintained. They were heck in winter ice on levelers, hydraulic wrecker came and we had been living in the dark ages.
Kapper having a wrecker growing up, many of the projects you do, we improvised using the winches.
yeah I'd like to see it fixed up! I drove a wrecker once upon a time, 60 hours a week on a busy interstate just outside of Chicago!! Madness!! Thanks Brett
@@kapperoutdoors Those cars flying by not paying any attention to yellow rotating lights.
I spent a day in Springfield with a Congressman for a contest I won. I made my case for red lights while on highway to slow traffic down and he said we debated it and got shot down. I said well, police can’t allows come flag, why don’t you come spend a day or night with us and your change your minds real fast. People sometimes as you know would not slow down for red lights, many times both cops and myself wanted to slam a flashlight at there car. Most have no idea what it’s like to be on a wreck and they either slow way down gawking for blood, or speed up to get by. Was so dangerous..
Just to much fun.....
I would have kept them old classics but glad you passed them onto other people to restore 😊👍
Had a 73 corn binder, wish I still had it. All wheel drive and tons of power.
& 4 mpg.
Love that tow truck
Plenty of free space now 💪💪
Very clean old towtruck
Yes it sure is I think he's going to bring it back to life that would be cool thanks
Alright, got rid of a few more vehicles
The wrecker is my favorite so far.
Oh no doubt it's the best vehicle, but it was the easiest to load lol. just wait the next couple won't be as easy that's for sure!
Mine too and I'm not even into trucks!
In all your time as a trooper, did you see more crack then or at 3:02?
Any chance the person that bought the IH 4x4 wrecker has a channel? I’d love to see more of that truck and that clean looking Holmes 480. Also, any idea what it sold for?
Not that I know of on the channel because we did talk about it. I think 800 or so was price. If we get some follow up on these I'll surely post updates on them. I'm with you I want to see them! Thanks
Nice some one had a winch and a low boy
Yep, this was the only 'easy' load yet!!! A little too much challenge on some of the load and go's!!! lol
Hello all, how long has stuff been sitting around?
The tow truck says ky on it is this all in kentucky. What part if so I'm from louisville ky
This farm is in Southern IL. Thanks.
Are you able to dig with the thumb being wider than the bucket? Not sure if that is a problem, please advise. Thanks, Mike
You can dig, but depending on how deep you want to go the thumb will scrape the walls of a ditch. This is the 18" bucket and the thumb is just a smidge wider than it. But for most ditches I used the 24" bucket and then you don't have that problem. Good question, thanks. Have a good one
@@kapperoutdoors Thank you!
The little digger is really strong and steady.
Roger that!
@@kapperoutdoors Jeupp.
You mean the implement or joe? 😁
@@CedarBluffRustics In my world a digger is a digger.
That tow truck is good.
Yeah it's a beautiful rig I think that guy's going to rehab it which would be cool
@@kapperoutdoors Jeupp.
Curtis there is a tire recycling center in Marion Ky .
That's awesome I'll relay that to him and we'll look into it. Thank you
@@kapperoutdoors farmers may want some for holding down tarpps and other uses . He could post on facebook .
I get the feeling sometimes that people just don't see a finished rig and only a rusty rig in the brush. Or here's one, Its a ford so I wouldn't drive or even ride in it yet pick a chevy way further down and still try and save it. I see a four door survivor an pray for its salvation as some day even those will be all gone. Never seen again. A new trend has taken root where they take a car of same make..... like chevy, olds, buick, and they use those model two door cars for just the remaining good pieces like the door an b pillar and use them for converting a nice four door into a two door. It really isn't hard to do an looks like its gaining traction.
interesting info never heard of that. But I agree, hard to see the 'possibilities,' of a truck in the weeds. But it also takes someone with a lot of work ethic and ability as they are no easy task for sure. Thanks.
what year was the old wrecker
Cuz back in them days things were meant to last unlike today everything is meant to be used and thrown away just as fast as you bought it
yep, lots of things are disposable nowadays! Even some vehicles... :)
I wonder if it has floor boards
Yes sir, the floor boards were still good
@@curtisrogerslandbroker that's good
lol
Bet the towtruck would start
very possible! Bet they have got it started by now if they've been working on it!
@@kapperoutdoors thought the same thing just get in and turn the key. Would have crawled right out. LMAO but .
White tennis shoes getting dirty
Is that motorhome trashed out
That sure pretty piece of property where y'all located
I'd love to come and hunt deer on that with my son I bet you got quite a few deer in there
What is the history of this property? Junk collector, junk hark?????
What's wrong with that motorhome does it run
Thanks for blocking out that guys "pickers" crack !!
😁
His day job might be plumbing!
