- EPISODE #12 of what will be a long journey on this Southern Illinois 8 acre property investment! It looks much more like a JUNK YARD, but we (kind of) think we know what we are doing, LOL! This is real world real estate investing and not some scripted flip or flop hype show! Join us here for this 12th episode and many more to come as we begin to tackle this investment property cleanup. Mrs. Kapper will be working on salvaging stuff from the old homesite, the chicken coop, old barn boards, rustic tin and smaller items, and Curtis Rogers (the new land owner) will be working all of the logistics for selling items, working with scrappers and scrap yards, dumpsters, transportation of certain items, and all other land administrative items and I will be helping out with the dirty work, bringing in my machines!! Woo Hoo!! Doesn't this all sound like fun!! Of course it is CERTAIN to be another life learning experience, but hey, hopefully Curtis can make some profit on this one when it is all said and done and we can bring you a very fun, yet educational special DIY series on how all of this stuff works. Kapper, my adopted mom and dad, 2nd building was a Morton. 3 car garage with small hunt camp/house, kitchen washer dryer, then a if you can imagine a square a bottom U shaped design.
The living room had a small wall propane heater like that. Set on pilot. Ceiling fan in living room and open doorway to two full beds, then shower / bath. I was amazed how cold it was outside and was so warm. They did insinuate and dry walled. Later the house came.

Good ads... lol... I like the free tires... 3 decades or so back, I heard that potatoes could be grown in tires... I thought it was a great idea and must have lugged 30-40 tires home... long story short... it didn't work like it was claimed and I had to lug the tires back to the dump... Now there is a tax on them to get rid of... I even saw a picture of using tires to make steps up an embankment... lol no more tires... down to 1 tire now at the chopping block... and I ponder about getting rid of that... but I might keep it so I don't get any more bright ideas on the tires... :) good series of videos... love to hear more of the guy that had that junk.

Amazing what a little spray paint will do to improve the property. Way to go Mrs. K. I'm waiting to see the grin on Joe's face when he gets to take the hoe to the old house and make chips out of it, then loads it into a dumpster for transport to the land fill. One more job for Curtis's "to do list".

@@CedarBluffRusticsEven though I live a few States south of you I have explored a portion of Southern Illinois. Very interesting topography and geology. I have visited several counties highest points in Southern Illinois including the one Curtis's Pickers Paradise is located in. It's 860+' ASL. Just west of exit 40 on I-57, up in the NW corner of the county. It's the 29th highest county out of the 102 Illinois counties. The only negative thing I have to say about the area is "Ticks".

@@kwilliamson1096 we moved from Northeast Wisconsin and I would have never believed people if they told me this is what S. IL looked like. We live on a bluff and love it. The ticks, chiggers and snakes I could do without though! 🙄

Not sure what you're asking I guess if I have deleted videos? occasionally they'll demonetize them and we'll delete them and repost them.
