Great video! My son is finishing medical school and has long clinical hours. I sent him Hello Fresh for two meals a week because he was exhausted and really hates fast food/takeout. He says it was a lifesaver! His cooking skills improved and he felt like he was eating really well. Plus two meals a week, with two servings each, gave him leftovers for lunches. It’s REALLY worth it, if you’re wondering and on the fence about it.

Very organized the way you counted down your commercial with a green line at the bottom and how you just told people right now exactly where to go for the soup if that's what they wanted instead of worrying about the bread. story time: my grandma would make my husband & i broccoli cheese soup during our weekly visits. it’s my absolute favorite & the only time my husband would eat broccoli. she’s been gone 7 years now& panera is the only brand that i have found that is decent in comparison to grandmas. i will definitely be trying this recipe so i can officially have a soup recipe & have gram with me. she passed quickly before i learned exactly how she made it. thank you for making this video. hope you & jaclyn have the merriest christmas season. 🎄
I made this for valentines dinner yesterday for my family and they LOVED it! 🎉I even made the bread bowls all by myself (which I was quite proud of 😝) it was delicious! I had to think the soup with more chicken stock because I like my broccoli cheddar soup more on the thinner side. It was a little time consuming but totally worth it! I’ll definitely make this again soon. It was just that good! ❤

Never understood why I couldn’t get the texture right- I’ve made several cheese sauces since watching this for the first time, all perfect 🥲

I make this soup every winter and It’s a very similar recipe. Since I’m a vegetarian I use only veggie stock but I add nutrient yeast to build more flavor to the stock. I have never tried garlic in it, I can’t wait to try adding it! I also always add extra stock than it calls for because I don’t like it so thick.
I made this the other night and it was lovely. For my fellow gluten free buddies I added bobs mills brown rice flour to thicken. I also started with bacon in the soup pan then drained and took it out and made the soup. Added in bacon at the end. :)

Gosh this threw my back to when Quiznos has this. They added slices of cheddar cheese to overlap the opening & would brush the bread with oil season with spices and run it thru the oven 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Broccoli cheddar soup
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup carrots
1 shallot
5 cloves garlic
1 cup vegetable stock
1 cup chicken stock
2 cups half & half
1 lb sharp cheddar cheese- grate 3/4 block
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp ish salt
30 “cranks” fresh ground pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 stick butter schmedium heat
Melt butter, add shallot cook 3.5 min
Add garlic, cook 1 minute max
Add flour, mix 1 minute
Slowly add stock, whisk
Add salt and pepper
Add paprika and nutmeg
Add vegs (+stock if needed), simmer 15 min
Add half & half
*don’t let it get too hot!!!* LOW HEAT
Add cheese
