Even though the graphics got better every time, the cheesy catchphrases will always stay the same

The cool thing about this series is that they managed to bring back the old boss to be cool, to be honest, it brought nostalgia when I first played it

Fire(Magician) , Water(The World?) , Metal(The Emperor) , Earth and Wood (I guess The Moon is the combination of both).
But I think The Moon actually represent the Nature itself His body are made from both Plant and Animal , and he can use all 4 elements in his attack, Fire, Wind , Electricity and Water.

Just played this game for the first time today. Freaked out when the 1st and 3rd bosses were bosses we saw in the 1st game. Second boss was similar to the plant boss we fought in 3rd game and the final boss was similar to the final boss from the 4th game.
All in saying is, if that were me as the final boss, and I just saw some B-list action heros destroy my space time rending ki blasts with bullets, I'm running away. Far away.

the voice acting, on the other hand......
What I would like to see someday is a game where there are multiple iconic HOTD bosses layed out like a gameboard and the path you choose to navigate between them are the stages; However many bosses you choose to take on before you reach the end of your path would either build the story, or reflect the type of ending or final boss you get.
You could make it a short game and take on just 3, or you could try to connect your chosen path to take on as many bosses as you felt like before you reached the end.
Elden Ring
Too much freedom hurts the experience, I rather pay for a fleshed out roller coaster of fun like dark souls.

Especially since the bosses are named after major arcana Tarot cards, feels very fitting for that type of concept
Worth noting now that The Devil is the only remaining major arcana Tarot card left to be created in The House of the Dead
They could go as far as do minor arcana Tarot cards (The King of Cups, The King of Pentacles, The King of Wands, & The King of Swords), but will see

Funny story: so me and my cousin were at his birthday at Dave n Busters, and they had a Scarlet Dawn cabinet there. We thought of a hilarious idea. We snuck up behind the back and smacked the back window to scare the people inside! It was the funniest thing ever at that time.
You said it, I wonder if Sega is gonna make House of the Dead 2 Remake in Nintendo Switch and House of the Dead 6 in arcades in the future

Chariot looks like he just came back from Killzone.
Chariot got bigger, stronger, and a better suit of armor. And Hanged Man looks like a humanoid bat with maybe a bit of a gargoyle-like touch.

Indeed. You only need to take down a tenth of its health at most, and then you just drive a pipe into not even its forehead? Seems like simply a cutscene you just have to survive. Same with High Priestess and setting it on fire, it's like the developers decided, "Eh, they shot it enough at this point, let's just kill it off now."

they should add the most popular tarot zombies as bosses, heck meaby make something like puting some of them fighting together or againts each other (like puting you againts both strenght and death, and sometimes making them fight each other), and meaby bring back the magician for one final round just so he at the end can become the most powerfull creation ever, the final tarot card: THE DEVIL

It was killed by a Lightning.. The Pipe Was Metal and A Good Conductor Of Electricity...According To A Source.. Lightning Strikes the Nearest Highest Point From Above, A Monster That Big Would Make The Metal Pipe The Highest Point After It was Stabbed In It's Head Thus Attracting The Lightning To Hit The Metal Pipe Since it's a good Electric Conductor The Volts Taken By The Pipe Will Hit The Monster

@@witherheart4149 Regardless, it's a major copout. Like the fight barely even started, and it's suddenly ended because mother nature decided you've shot it enough. That's not a boss fight, it's a cutscene where you do stuff.

The Moon is really lame tbh. Should not be scripted, at least must required player to do certain amount of damage to him before go to next phase like 25% bar gone for pull himself up from the ground, 50% gone for standing up, 70% gone for spreading wings and then 90% gone for Ryan to jump at him.
No cap, magician or emporer would actually be more fit or badass on this game final boss fight
They should atleast added The Judgement from the THOD2 I mean it actually fits having fight inside the old Castle

@@theSMFT i just download it on a pirated website since its difficult to find this game in pc version. Its kinda disappointing since the player 2 can only use keyboard while player 1 uses mouse which is actually more easier to aim than playing in arcade machine

Feels to me like the final boss' designer reaaaally made him with the idea of making him 'The Devil', until SEGA decided to once again save that title for later and slapped The Moon on it instead. I mean, just look at it - it has "devil" all over it.

I think this is the first game in the series where the bosses attack civilians and you can rescue them.
Also, with how Thornheart is still at large and the only tarot card that has not been represented is The Devil, I'm hoping that in the next House Of The Dead game, we can see if or how humanity prevails against Curien's creatures.

The reason the axe fell onto chariot's neck in the end of the cutscene was because even the axe grew humor after listening to that punchline (if you can even call it that)

I know this comment is old but the only Major Arcana card not used is number XV (15) The Devil. I am very excited to see what it will become.

These arcades horror machines are scary
in the the english version here, the 2nd boss is called "the high priestess". but in the japanese release of the game she is just called "priestess". it is unknown why this is, but because it is called "high priestess" in every other version, including the japanese wiki, it is her presumed cannon name.
