Its such a tough job being a care giver. The disease gets worse and worse. Both of my husbands parents went to a nursing home. It was horrible at the end. We could not do it 24/ 7. You do a terrific job. People who don't walk in your shoes have no idea how tough it is.
Yeah, it's easy for people to make assumptions or judgements especially when they haven't experienced it. Care giving can mean never letting your guard down. It can be a high tension way to live.

The ladies at work appreciated it. Now that he is retiring in a month, I again bought his clothes for moving to BC and retiring. I actually just told my husband and kids, after our current dog dies NO MORE ANIMALS. I’m done, bc they want dogs, frogs, lizards and frogs but who cleans up after them, who feeds them, who worries about caretakers when we’re out of town? ME! I need to simplify my life not add additional mouths to feed and tend to.
