I call this quality content, he tried for about 30 minutes just to focus on the camera for us. Before you start saying he could have lied, try focus on something that is constantly moving and is 2mm long with you phone camera

True the formicariums that are professionally made tend to be very expensive for no specific reason, homemade alternatives are such a good idea

I think I got some of those on the past vids buddy, but Those are just ordinary plastic that I used to feed them, just to make their tube as clean as possible.

@@Dcolony I used to. sadly not at at the current time. finding a queen in my area is quite difficult and its seems like no one sells queens of this spp.
Nice video but: How long does your plants survive before the leaves start browning,moulding,falling off and wat causes these.

I use an olive oil as barrier to prevent the ants on the video from escaping buddy. The mini containers link was on the description bud, thanks 🙂

I really like this simple design, but a quick question, the "earth" in the nesting areas are bio active? If the ants make a chamber for their waist, will it be processed or will they notice that this isn't bio active and bring the "garbage" somewhere els?

What's the size of your test tube?
Where are you located ? Australia ? Because idk where I can get clear acrylic containers anyone know? I’ve looked for acrylic fish tanks sort of thing or containers but it’s hard to find them around for me tbh.
Im Based in the Philippines buddy, i also got hard time finding this containers around my place, but i just look for it online, i got this in cheap price.

On most soil nesting species buddy like fire ants. Sometimes I mix dirt too.
Today i mixed flowerdirt with coconut for my Lasius Niger, they are 1 queen and 10 worker, a lot of eggs, they are my first ants.

I just follow the instructions on the grout packaging buddy, but I believe I made a more detail mixing of grout on my 1st ever diy video buddy, just check the playlist ant keeping DIY. hope it helps.
