Glad to see someone appreciate the car for what it is and doesn’t feel the need to “fix it up”. She’s a beauty even with all the dirt and grime but can’t wait to see her all cleaned up.
Simply amazing. I have the Barris books that showcase the build of this car. It influenced me at my shop of 20 years. It was my #1 to stay true to the build methods of this era, and I loved it. Lead and all!
Thank You, Mr.Foose, for sharing the story, and the journey. I think the brothers deserve a ride in this Beauty when it's ready.Please. They've waited 50 Years to even Set in it.
Hi Chip . Love the archive photo's . I didn't realise the brothers comissioned this ! They must have saved and worked to pay for this piece of history . You are so lucky Chip .
My buddy's dad was body and fender man and we went from Baker Oregon to Pendleton Oregon to get powder ed Gold leaf to mix with clear lacquer. Then the red. Love that candy apple red.
A lot of detail work ahead, more than most will understand…weeks of detailing involved. Well done for giving a piece of your heart in great homage Chip ❤
Yes, so cool to get that beauty back into the sunlight and very cool of the long-time owner/caretaker to honor his father by placing it into the hands of Chip.
I agree I enjoyed the show Seeing the love and joy. The excitement of the whole overhaul crew and the lucky person and their Cree. It was a win win except the deadlines had to old
This is great. I just refinished a mazda apple candy today! It just looks amazing puttin on that candy red clear. Exiting every time. Just imagine doing that in the 50's. Great show foose!❤ from sweden
Damnit!! You tease!!! I can't wait to see it all clean and shiny in 4K quality. It's one thing to see it in old pictures but nothing like seeing it in person or at least in 4K. 👍 Im excited
This is a great series, way different than most car vids. I like the commentary about the cars. Be sure and tell us about how they used to do things. Thanks a lot
You go Chip. Started an interest in Rods and Custome in the 50's and started buying the little bookd. Read with great interest all the how to stories and pics loong befor Bondo was invented.
Thank the Lord, you are the one that got ahold of this CHIP! You’re have an; Old Soul”. Your Father and you are cut from the same cloth as Barris and Jeffries. YOU will bring her back and do her justice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You literally have no idea what kind of father they had, other than his Barris Kustom was off limits to his little kids crawling around in it. When was his brother supposed to say something? You read WAY too much into that and just probably have your own daddy issues which you're now projecting onto them. 🙄 Just see how his son later talks about wanting to honor his dad. I see nothing but respect and honor when he's talks about his father.
This is awesome and then some. I have been looking forward to having another look at this iconic sled. Thanks so much Chip. I can't wait to see you work your magic and having this time capsule looking the way it did when it rolled out of the paint booth for the first time. You are right , you never tamper with history especially this car. This car needs to be saved as is and put in a museum.
Hay Chip there might be another one out there I worked on a house in Anaheim near the 5 fwy and Brookherst in the garage he has a 32 Ford coupe that the owner told me that it was one of the first cars that George did, it had the tail pipes grafted into the rear fender on a sideways tear drop two of them, owner promised on a stack of Bibles that it was the real deal.
A sympathetic restoration. Clean it up, fix what needs to be fixed, and not much more. Finding stuff, like that huge battery (most likely 6 volt) should be fun. Can't wait for the next installment. I was around 10 when this was created. Cars like this (lots of custom 49 Merc's) were started me being a car guy. ;-)
This show needs to be back on TV. Always loved it
Here here!!
This is TV. TV of the Future!
💯% Foose all the way,,,,,,,😊
@@badad0166🎉🎉😅😅
Nah on tv too much staged filming YT much better.
Chip is a nice guy , and his passion is contagious.
Keep it coming please!!! Can not wait to see this car cleaned up!
Barris and Jeffries…Royalty. Cool story and find. Keep us in the loop, please! Thank you.
Nice to see the right guy working on it very nice Chip
Glad to see someone appreciate the car for what it is and doesn’t feel the need to “fix it up”. She’s a beauty even with all the dirt and grime but can’t wait to see her all cleaned up.
Thanks for letting us be a part of this journey. 💪👍🏼
These brother are so LUCKY that Chip found this ad!
Simply amazing. I have the Barris books that showcase the build of this car. It influenced me at my shop of 20 years. It was my #1 to stay true to the build methods of this era, and I loved it. Lead and all!
Glad Chip is respecting the masters and leaving it alone. What a find.
Off the charts super rare find,,,anxiously awaiting ALL the videos!!!
Insane find . Can’t wait tell it’s all cleaned up . Chip you are the perfect person to own this Car.
Wonderful story. Please keep us posted Chip. Thank you.
So fine!!! Can't wait to see you clean it up and leave it as it was created. A true time machine.
no one has more respect for these creations than Foose & Co , I've always admired Barris
This is one hell of a time capsule. Can't wait to see it all cleaned and polished!
Thank You, Mr.Foose, for sharing the story, and the journey. I think the brothers deserve a ride in this Beauty when it's ready.Please. They've waited 50 Years to even Set in it.
Good to see Foose back at it. Watching him motivates me to get back on my Oldsmobile project. Great car can't wait to see it shine.
I'm really excited to see how it turns out. And I'm also glad that you're keeping it original. That's important. That's history.
I luv that Chip is finding cars he's not restoring and keeping their true history intact!!!
I've long been a Barris fan and this is absolutely fantastic.
Hi Chip . Love the archive photo's . I didn't realise the brothers comissioned this ! They must have saved and worked to pay for this piece of history . You are so lucky Chip .
I like how excited Chip is about this car. Truly a rare car.
Gonna be really cool preserved
Chip has a hop in his step. My dad owned a 59 impala George customized and I can’t wait to see this one after chip works his magic. Love you chip
Incredibly cool piece of artwork history. ✌️💖 Thanks Chip.
Don't stop now
We want more more more. Thank you

Oh man I'm here for this one! Very exciting. 🥰
This hopefully blows the lid off after cleaning and polishing. What an amazing find, incredible.
I love this car. Went to the 61 Oakland roadster show. Love the metal flake.
Love hearing the reverence and respect Chip has, for those who came before him. Almost like visiting a tomb in Egypt or a religious site in Israel
I agree I enjoyed the show Seeing the love and joy. The excitement of the whole overhaul crew and the lucky person and their Cree. It was a win win except the deadlines had to old
Thanks for stepping in and offering to help them preserve this beauty.😎
Great content Chip! Thanks for sharing and knowing how to bring this beauty back to life!
I love the style of that year I've got a 50 Pontiac same body what a time capsule absolutely beautiful
Beautiful car.... love the pin striping.... keep it just like it is 😎😎😎
This is great. I just refinished a mazda apple candy today! It just looks amazing puttin on that candy red clear. Exiting every time. Just imagine doing that in the 50's. Great show foose!❤ from sweden

Some cool hot rod history there. That paint must have looked amazing when it was freshly done. Thanks, Chip!
I think I speak for everyone when I Say, we need to see more of this. I have a couple of antique rods but nothing like this.
I really like Chips take on keeping things left in original or “original custom” form.
Will be awesome to see this all cleaned up. Ron
One of the best in the business, and a decent human being 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🙏🙏
I’m glad you’re the one bringing it back. Go Chip from Oz
love old customized cars and truck and the history on them
I sure love Chip and cars. More videos please!
Well said Chip, this is something to be revered. Love the leaf blower btw!
The four columns of vents in the hood look so cool from underneath with light shining through them when raised.!
Wait... what did I see Washington Plates on it, Awesome video Chip!
Chip has a great eye and creates some masterpieces on wheels,
This car belongs in a museum!
Looking forward to the transformation! This will be a fun watch! Definitely a special car!
Its amazing and awesome how Chip respects the work of other legends. He dont say I can restore it and make it look better.
It will definitely be beautiful again thanks Chip Foose for the updates see you on the next one ok later
Wonderful story. Please keep us posted Chip, this is better than all the corporate shows youv'e done. Such history. Thank you. How much?
This is a great series, way different than most car vids. I like the commentary about the cars. Be sure and tell us about how they used to do things. Thanks a lot
Chip is so genuine
You go Chip. Started an interest in Rods and Custome in the 50's and started buying the little bookd. Read with great interest all the how to stories and pics loong befor Bondo was invented.
His show rocked no needless drama his creations were always so visually appealing you didn’t want to drive them, for fear of damage
That is such a cool find. So glad you were the one who found this car Chip. Thanks for bringing us along
As he was using that wand, Chip was introduced to an industrial-strength dust blower. 😀
So Awesome!
What an exciting project!!! So looking forward to Chip and his crew bringing this historical custom back to life.
You or your dad need to own this and preserve it.
My first car was a 1st gen firebird and my first artwork was robert williams car art. 'Hot rod race'. ..and i love chip foose
That’s so cool!!😎 👍
Such a time capsule and Lord in the right hands. Thank you God Chipp Foose found that ad.
What a find. I hope that when people find some of your early cars, they treat them with the same respect.
There's NOTHING under the sun to put a Foose creation, covered in dust, untouched in a garage. Ain't happening!
Chip is living my dream
Thank the Lord, you are the one that got ahold of this CHIP! You’re have an; Old Soul”. Your Father and you are cut from the same cloth as Barris and Jeffries. YOU will bring her back and do her justice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I would drive that car every day if it were mine! :)
What an amazing time capsule...
More videos on this please sir 😊
Wish the vid was longer. At least to the finish of the washing. So glad Chip is still around. He's a great personable guy unlike Boyd Coddington. 🤭👍
cant wait to see it cleaned
This is amazing!
Great discovery.
Chip that's one car you should purchase for yourself. Totally awesome
Super awesome car
Love the music in this clip as well as the anticipation of seeing this auto treasure cleaned up! Anyone know the name of the song and artist?
Some longer format video's would be a treat too.
Waaaaaaaay Cool!
Love the car, but dislike the Father who kept the joy away from his kids so long he died. Notice the Brother has nothing at all to say....
You literally have no idea what kind of father they had, other than his Barris Kustom was off limits to his little kids crawling around in it. When was his brother supposed to say something? You are right , you never tamper with history especially this car. This car needs to be saved as is and put in a museum.
Can't wait to see the progress! That car is a real gem... The next video needs to be longer😁
Find of the century.
WoW!!! What more can a guy say ? :))) Made me think about my '53 Buick Roadmaster .. ah the cars "I should have kept" LOL!!
Can't wait to see it.
This is history !!!! Keep pushing Chip !!!!

Way to keep real 😊😊😊
Can't believe this is in my home state. I thought they were all in Cali
Call up Larry from AMMO NYC, he is world class bringing old cars back to lfe!
Amazing piece of hot rodding history! Looking forward to watching the next part of this cars history to come to light! Go Foose, keep moving forward!
Let the guys at WD detailing have at it .
This was an incredible looking car even when it was all original and yellow...
The owner has the right idea, get out the leaf blower LOL.
Just needs a good wash and polish to bring back up a bit
this is the original Candy Apple I remember
