There are hundreds of us Australians living there and will be coming to live leaving Bali for ever.
This is a great informative VLOG.
We bought land near Pacifico where a lot of us are moving to live.
When you get a chance, VLOG up north and to the west of the Island and now the new Port is finished and will soon be open to the public. It's world class.
Thanks for coming to our island.

@@JooseTheNomadHaha,,you know this hopeless people's pretending game. OZ is the land of surf, there are countless amazing surf & beaches there, way bigger and way more consistent than this hopeless surf capital wannabe not even make sense to compare. Geez,,they will do whatever just to make destruction for others yet claiming as the best people on the planet😅😅😅.

The new port is on the western side of the Island. You go towards the airport then follow the signs that have been placed there with pictures of the new Mayor on them. We live in Main Beach on the Gold Coast during the summer as the wet season just never stops everyday on the eastern side of Mindanao. A lot of Australians live near the Sunset bridge on the left side before the bridge if you are riding north. Pacifico is changing slowly but gradually. A lot of development will be on the NE side of the island which is why there are so many new bitumen roads taking place up there.

@@ShutDFckOffStop projecting, what Bali has to do with Siargao? Anyone who need smaller crowd surf islands free to go the Mentawais. That's what I don't agre with, projecting and referencing with Bali, if Mentawais never do that kind of projecting and referencing with Bali, why do you think people need to comparing Bali with Siargao (Bias-ly)??

That island is better than the other islands in other countries or in other island in PH bec it is not crowded like in Indonesia and Thailand. They prefer Siargao bec it has a more relaxing vibe and it has many places where u can explore and have more privacy as well.

Siargao is so fresh and young... and so with the technologies... the slow internet is an example... however, a real paradise doesnt need to have those technologies.. as long as you have all the basic necessities, then that can offset those that are lacking... The fearful part is when Siargao becomes old, that's when overtourism becomes a problem which vanishes its natural beauty and paradise-like vibe.❤

Enjoy your trip I’ve been there many times . if you’re going to surf rent your boards from.Joymelyn Comon . She is a retired police officer and now renting boards and giving surfing lessons at cloud nine. She is good friend. I’m godfather to her family. Another good surfing instructor is named. Tun Tun , ask anybody at cloud nine about him. I can recommend staying at Ocean 101 or Las Palmas. Ocean 101 is very close to the surfing area and it’s about $100 a day. It’s well worth it. Have you ever been there before?. Regards, Shaun.

Indo has a lot of uncrowded islands for surf, why Bali being a reference here? because Siargao has thousands of temples like Bali? Or what? 1999? And you went to this Siargao for surf? While there's Mentawais, Nias, Banyaks, and Telos nearer to Singapore, with waaaay better surf consistency, good luck if you want to compare this Siargao to the Mentawais. Stop projecting using Bali name, if The Mentawais never do such, I don't think this Siargao has anything in store to beat the Mentawais, nor Uluwatu, not even close😂😂😂

As a Filipino, I am pleased with the development in Siargao; however, I am concerned about the island becoming overcrowded like Bali and Phuket due to the growing number of tourists, both local and international. I wish for Siargao to preserve its unique identity. After watching various vlogs, it is evident that many new establishments are being constructed in the hopes that the local government will limit the entry of investors who may hire workers from outside the island or Surigao. Bali has undergone significant changes, with litter becoming a widespread issue and tourists failing to respect the local culture and community, instead taking advantage of what is available. Phuket is facing a similar situation, with rising crime rates, HIV, prostitution, drug-related issues, etc. attributed to the failure to regulate the influx of tourists, disrupting the peace and tranquility that the locals once enjoyed. Anyway, Have you tried visiting Siquijor island?

    • @simplyyank1119

Surely, using a functional bridge as street food market and sunset watching point not to mention put a dam to the one and only waterfall it has really is do not represent how this 'Filipinos overly concern attitude" about something bad happening in other countries and that for 53k foreign tourist arrivals only or circa 1% of Bali's & Phuket's numbers, and I don't see any sizeable surfing tax nor visitor tax applied to limit the number intentionally. You Filipinos don't walk the talk, more like naysaying I must say. Mentawais walk the talk, by putting $128 per 15 days surfing tax, never you found Mentawaians telling this and that about others😊😊,right? better you guys do that first before it's too late, but be warned surfers willing to pay for Mentawais because of it's waves. Still need to see how Siargao's waves worth the surfing tax or not 😊😊😊, you don't sell cultural performances like Bali for sure, you don't have that kind of things.
