On "cbk"s' case, while I believe it's more likely to be a coincidence, but I wouldn't be surprised for it to be Joseph, Internet forums aren't that difficult to use and, to be honest, people who still use that kind of forum tend to be older. The issue about the IP address, IPS are far from the best location indicator (not to mention the IP traced to Reno, not the farthest town from Sacramento), and although VPNs do require a little bit of technical knowledge, they have become way more common and accessible in recent years. In conclusion, I find it unlikely to be him, but not impossible, I just don't see why he would spend so much time on it. Jeff's story makes me think about just how much of our live we share online, and how it will just stay there forever and in his case, a snapshot of his troubled mind in the final year that lead to him doing what he did. Again the lack of attention to mental health care is evident, crazy how someone with so many red flags was just left unassisted, it always surprises me that there are so many school shootings that after all those years I still had not heard about this terribly sad case. About the bonus post, I really feel like it is a hoax and that one guy corroborating is just someone trolling or getting a false memory. Can't wait for the next video!
thank you so much! i agree that the evidence around deangelo posting on the forum is pretty dubious. i feel like it's one of those things where you maybe pay more attention to the information that supports your belief and tend to ignore the information that doesn't confirm what you think. it's still possible but i just personally have a lot of doubts. and i 100% agree regarding jeff, when i saw how many signs of him being troubled were visible prior to the shooting it was very sad because you can visibly see him becoming more and more troubled and perhaps the tragedy could have been avoided. it's definitely a case that shows how important mental health is and how you can't ignore red flags. i feel like people tend to think "oh, that's how teenagers are." in cases like this which is dangerous and yes at this point i do think the last mystery might just be a hoax! i've known about it for some time and can't find a single other source so it does seem likely that it's either entirely made up or like a misremembered story. thank you again for this well thought out comment, i really enjoy discussing the videos with you :)
