Great looking bike.. I have an 18 and am contemplating these pipes.. did you do a tune or just slap them on .. I’m not too worried about performance just looking for sound.. was curious if you ran into any problems if you didn’t tune
Still running the stock tune (as well as stock air filter). Running with no issues. I would recommend running the exhaust with baffles in. I noticed a loss in power when I took the baffles out previously (wouldn’t say it was a significant amount of power, mostly high end at higher gears/rpms). Although it sounds much better and more raw when you throttle it at high rpm, there is a lack of power between gears and deceleration. People have notice more power running 2-to-1 exhausts. If you’re looking to improve the sound of the bike at an affordable price, I would recommend these. If you rather spend the money for better sound and power, maybe go that route! I picked these up for just over $300- was a gnarly sale.
Lorenzo Salcone I like them without. But I do believe there is some power loss because they’re no back pressure. I might put the baffles back in soon and try them out for a while
With baffles it is fairly louder than stock for sure, but not overly loud! Without baffles it is noticeably louder however you loose a lot of back pressure and it lacks minor power. If you don’t mind some minor power loss and want a loud sound, without baffles is the way to go. However, keep in mind that it will run a little more lean and will effect MPGs.
@@TheMurksaucethey also have louder replacement baffles available on J&P cycles for cheap and they’re easy to swap yourself. Best of both worlds, louder and you have the back pressure you need.
Hi, I'm undecided whether to buy cobras or vance hines short shots with super pretty baffles. I would like to know if by chance you have measured the decibels of the cobras and if they are much less noisy than the vances because I would not like noisy exhausts.
Can you still access the oil dipstick?
Yes.

No issues without a tune. Slight issue while not using baffles as it creates a lot of back pressure when I would decelerate
@@TheMurksauce I’m a total noob when it comes to bikes. Is the de accel pop unbearable. Did you decide to put baffles back in?
Thanks again
@@SETTAPERFORMANCE it is bearable. I just noticed the bike slowing down when I left off the throttle more than I wanted it to at lower speeds.
Did you have to tune it after the new exhaust? Notice any power difference?

Hi! Is the sound too loud? Because I would by these pipes..thanks!
With baffles, it is not too loud. However without (especially on cold start) baffles, there are a bit loud
TheMurksauce thanks!! Finally i got these cobra and I love the sound (with buffles, I don’t known without..). Great!
Which one do you like? With or without?
And would the bike lose power without dB? Thanks a lot :)

@@joshuawilliams2310just got a 2024 Softail standard and these pipes are what Im gonna go with! Perfect comment and exactly what I'm looking for
How difficult is it taking the baffles out? Sounds amazing
Sorry for just seeing this. It’s super simple! They’re held in by 1 bolt each

If you don't like noisy exhaust don't upgrade the exhaust most are gonna be loud
Loud pipes save lives
