I really like the t bars but i am concerned that i will not be able to see gauges. also if i could get you opinion on that. Thanks .
At my height of 5 foot 9 inches tall it was really hard to see the guages with these risers. I ended up buying a riser block off plate from bungking and buying another gauge mount which mounts lower on the bungking risers. That enabled me to see the gauges easily. I haven't had any issues with the dna apes and the powder coating is top notch on my bars 👍

I was wondering if I even needed to buy brand new cables instead of just getting extenders but I switched my '19 fxbb to 18" inch apehangers so guess I need them. Thanks for the vid I may actually have the confidence to change them myself instead of paying Harley $800 just for labor haha
It does take a fair bit of time to change them just because of all the internal wiring in the bars. If you have the patience it's certainly not a hard job it's just time consuming. $800 for the install is crazy, I'd rather put the money to more parts 🤙
How did you get the box with the wires free from underneath, there was an edit when you started
It just sits in there mate, comes out very easily
The Gingybeard Man yea I finally got it free, you sure do make this look easy bud...having the damnest time feeding these wires through the new bars...don’t want to have to de-pin them but I might have too
@@Haahhnn it is by far the hardest mod other than engine work to do to the bike. Its just so time consuming man. Take your time and be patient man
Hey man I switched my bars and when i was plugging all the wires back in i cant seem to find the 2 prong portion of the throttle cable wire that comes from the bike? Not sure how that happened, any thoughts?
Hey mate I believe their is a spare plug which doesn't plug into anything on our model softails. I remember having a spare plug left over on mine too.
The Gingybeard Man i ended up figureing it out. Its for heated grips if you have em. But thanks man appreciate it!
Man you did just like I would. I love it.
Thanks mate 👍
hi where did u get the fairing from? in australia or somewhere else thanks you
I bought it from the memphis shades website in the U.S
@@TheGingybeardMan i tho they didn't ship it to Australia
@@tntzone3298 they did when I purchased. Check out there website.
did you get a check engine light after the install? I'm getting one on my bike, just finished the install.
Yeah man I got the fault codes aswell. The codes will pop up if you don't disconnect your battery before disconnecting the wiring to the bars. No need to worry if you clear the codes and they dnt pop up again
Do either of you have a before photo from before you unplugged the wires I’m having trouble sorting out the wires I seam to have one spot still open and a plug a wire that doesn’t seam to go anywhere not sure where I messed up
Is
that a Memphis Gauntlet Fairing ?
Thanks

Yes it Sure is Richard 🤙
@@TheGingybeardManToo cool, just got a notion mine has just shipped.

The Gingybeard Man looks pretty sweet how they are now
Great video mate, very well done 🤙
Thanks mate, appreciate it 👍
Any pullback on these bars?
The risers I purchased do not have any pullback but you can purchase them from bungking with a one inch or two inch pullback
The Gingybeard Man cheers mate after watching all your vids I’m keen to build one similar you’ve got awesome taste
@@shaynespencer86 cheers brother, I've had loads of fun wrenching on the street bob
hi man, i wanted to know if the original cables were long enough with a 14 "t bar from Lucky Dave's
You will need longer cables with 14 inch t-bars
@@TheGingybeardMan but not for a 13 "is that it?
@@toniotonio1853 the over all rise of these bars is 13 inches and they are extremely close to their limits. If You were to go with other t-bars which have a rise height of 13 inches make sure they arnt wider than these bars which are as wide as stock.
@@TheGingybeardMan Ok thanks man i appreciate your help 😉✌
whats the height of the stock handlebars?
11 inches 👍the overall height is 12 inches as the risers add an inch
@@TheGingybeardMan a lot of ppl telling me 10, im confused rofl
@@luciano_pk the bung king risers are 10 inches and they're shorter than the stock bars 👍
Hey man, did you go with any pull back, tried checking the comments to see if that had already been asked. I'm 5'10 but got t rex arms
No man I didn't go with any pullback. It felt like a perfect reach with the saddleman seat but with the whiplash slipstream seat I find I'm reaching a little more, but it's still not an issue.
@@TheGingybeardMan thanks for the quick reply
What size cable did you order from guerrilla cables?
6 inches longer than stock
Thanks! I’ve watched all your videos! Keep them coming I’m learning a lot from them! Thank you!
@@TheDJMaddox87 will do brother, thanks for watching 👍
Hi guy, it makes a long time i' didn't see this video (I hope you will understand what I mean despite my mistakes). At 2:50 you talk about "stop?????parts" You removed. Is it included with the riser bung king or did you buy this more and if you buy what is the reference. Thank you for your answer and your videos.
Hello Frank, at 2.50 I say "stock" bushings meaning I chose to buy heavier duty bushings. The bushingsbare not included with the bungking risers, I bought them from a company called Lucky Daves. You can use the "stock"/original bushings but their will be some movement in the handlebars.
@@TheGingybeardMan thank you for the answer, sorry for my misunderstanding (stock). Have you got the references of these bushing? HD made?

Another great video, or am I biased because I have a #Streetbob. Btw the little man, too cute..bike bike.
Thanks man. Haha my little guy is bike obsessed, he certainly gets that from me.
The Gingybeard Man nice install you are really careful. I’m not and the first thing I would have done was drop something on that beautiful tank! That’s why I always cover it with a thick towel. We always used tall glide risers with dragbars on Wide Glide front ends but your fairing has me scratching my head. I have seen this recently but though it was just a mismatch of parts but this is called “club”? That’s a new one on me. That’s why they call them custom!!!
@@XXX-qk2cq thanks mate, yeah Google club style harley, and you will see loads of harleys usually dynas with high rise T bars, a fairing, sqareback seats and 2 into 1 exhausts. This "club style" has been a big thing in So Cal for years. People either hate it or love it 👍
Hey mate
Putting new bars on my softail streetbob just wondering can u reuse the old grips on the new bars?
Mate I'm not 100% sure if the left grip is grip glued onto the bar. If it is glued then it'll be hard to remove. If you can get the left grip off without damaging it you should be good to reuse it 👍
The Gingybeard Man cheers mate. Champion
Keep the vids coming mate! Do u know of any good aftermarket sites for sissy bars?
@@chrismayberry7689 cheers mate, the only sissy bars I really like the look of, are the ones on Etsy. Just type in softail street bob sissy bar and a few will pop up from the same seller. They would be the only style of sissy bar I'd go with. For some reason I couldn't copy the link 😪
The Gingybeard Man nah all good mate thanks for ur help
Is there a pull back on the bars or Risers?
From the bungking website
@@TheGingybeardMan do you feel like the bike turns easier now as oppose to the Stock Bars?
@@infiniteg7852 it doesn't much different than the stock bars. These bars are just as wide as the stock bars and only and inch taller.
Thanks for all the vids. And for naming the companies you get the parts from. One question, is it standard throttle or with wire?
The 2019 street bob runs throttle by wire 👍
Hey man love the videos, been subbed for a while now. Would you be able to comment the link for the extended gauge wiring? Im looking to do the 10 inch rise with a one inch pullback. You think the stock wiring will reach? Cheers in advance!!
@Canadian FXBB ,Hey man thanks for the support. The website link is guerrillacables.com/2018-2019-softail-street-bob-breakout-fxdr-speedo-harness/
You will need to go with the 22 inch speedo cable which is 6 inches longer than stock. The stock speedo wiring won't be long enough if you go with the 10 inch bung king bars.
For your CR high bend bars did you get Standard Throttle or Throttle By Wire?
Hey man, I used the stock throttle by wire.
The Gingybeard Man thanks!
@@petermhiingan115 no worries mate
I am going to be putting on dominator industries MX 12" bars and I was told by a mechanic that when I reconnect the wires after installation that it would "throw a code" or an error message and maybe not be able to start the bike until the code is cleared, did you encounter this? This mechanic also told me this was a real hard job, I know you mentioned in the video that it took you some time but did you have any big issues other than threading wiring through the bars? thanks in advance, bike is looking awesome.
The hardest part is just running the wiring through the bars which isn't too bad if you're patient. After my bars were installed it did throw a code which was easily cleared. In a few of the comments I've attached a link which guides you through clearing the codes 👍
@@TheGingybeardMan thanks dude vids are awesome!
Not having to depin the wires is huge. At 9:00 you could’ve ran the wires through the top clamp hole as well.

Great installation video, You made it look super easy (maybe there was more troubles behind the scenes) but your video encourage me to do the job myself. I hope it will go as smooth as yours.
Just one small question, why did you decide to change from mini ape hangers to the club style (kind of Tbars)? Is it for look preferences or more comfort? Cause I am actually going for a mini ape for my FXLR...Thanks for the inspiration.:)
The only reason for changing to T-bars was for the looks. I've recently changed the bars again and I'm now running ape hangers

How tall are you and how’s the view of the speedo now? I keep going between the 10” and 8”.
I'm 5'9" I can see the speedo but in direct sunlight it's a bit hard to read. You can install the dominator industries guage mount on these bars if it's too much of a problem and install the bung king riser top clamp in place of the stock guage mount.
