I'm in the market for an F150 myself and I'm a big fan of your channel. I was trying to get into a 14th gen (2021) Lariat but now I think I could possibly save more money and get a 2020 (13th gen) either Raptor or a Platinum for less and just upgrade the interior and head unit like you did. Killer truck man! New sub
@@f1fiftyjimmy yeah it’s hard to choose! Great trucks overall. I do like the interior updates on the 14th gen but it'll come down to price of course. Enjoying your content man. Stay safe!
Thanks for the video! I subbed! I test drove a 2018 raptor over the weekend. the car fax showed the cam phasers had just been replaced. Are the cam phasers a known issue?
Cam phasers are a Ford F150 issue, not specific to Raptors. All repairs are covered by Ford, no warranty needed. I had mine, replaced by dealer that I bought my used, 2018 Raptor, from. My truck is, also tuned, Goosed @93 octane. I removed the tune before taking truck in for then to diagnose, tech said the tune didn't matter (I didn't remove the stickers, lol) and has nothing to do with phasers. Tuning a truck btw, simply makes it perform as it should, and better than government standards allow off the assembly line. Tune the tranny as well! I can hear the gears changing but can't feel em! Peace
Great content brother, I just stumbled across your channel. I'm in the market for a 2019-20 Magnetic Grey .. Pano Roof .. 802A .. No carbon fiber/ Stickers. I'm from the upstate NY area seems like dealers/private are still try to get big money for their trucks. You have any leads or advice. Much appreciated ... Rich
looking into buying a 2019 raptor with the 802a....im seeing ranges from 45-50k for the vehicles around 50-60k miles. if i take this to 100k miles how much value you think will be retained from purchase price or better yet, what do you think this car will be able to be sold for in 4-5 years with >120k miles
@@f1fiftyjimmy true. my main concern should just be sourcing a decent one, and making sure to get the Ford ESP (which should cover any issues???) i was honestly considering getting a 2024 tacoma, but my friend got me interested in the gen 2 raptors
Good question. Whoever you decide to do the warranty through just check with them. I think if you decide to purchase a warranty off the internet they will send a 3rd party to do an inspection.
The finance advice is poor in my opinion. Your having your credit hit multiple times for what? Unless it’s a soft check that doesn’t affect your credit. Dealerships I find usually have better interest rates than banks . Now if you have poor credit well it is what it is and you’re going to get a poor rate. Know your credit score

Thanks bro! I’d go the 2020 route. It’s fun upgrading/modding!

Ya cam phasers are one of the biggest known issues with the gen 2 raptor. Late 2019 raptors have the updated phasers.

What are some good credit unions that I should try to get my loan from for new raptor?

Not sure I’ve wondered the same thing. Once you get one though you’ll worry less about that because the raptor is such a fun vehicle!

@@dankybillz ya that Ford ESP covers damn near everything. I added the lighting coverage option for a little bit more.

Does the used car inspection need to be done at a ford dealership to get the ford esp warranty?

What aftermarket nav display is that?
Aliexpress 14.4. Check my other videos breaking it down and how to purchase!
@@f1fiftyjimmy thanks checking them out now.
Did you get a warranty?
Ok, I wrote that half way through the video lol.
