I started using the powder recently and mixed it with leave in conditioner and oil. The first time i applied, i wrapped my hair with plastic wrap, and i noticed 4c texture had loosened from the chebe. So far, i love chebe and applied on damp hair (clove and fenugreek).

TFS! I'm 3yrs into my microlocs journey and recently started using the Chebe oil about 2-3x a week for a scalp massage and on the length of my microlocs from this same brand. The oil is lightweight, has a lemongrass scent, and definitely locks in the moisture from my diy daily water spritz/leave-in. For me the oil has been a good addition thus far. I tend to wash my microlocs every 2 weeks or as needed.

Just started following you and learned about chebe. Your hair is gorgeous. Found chebe hair grease at Walmart. Will apply at my next washing in a week. Smells nice nothing overpowering. I have been wearing my hair naturally about two years now. All the gericurl is finally grown out. I tend to like cornrows as my hairstyle, recently went to trying the two stand twists, its so much easier and faster to style.

Just like you, i wash my hair once every two weeks. I also try to avoid applying hair products more than 3 times, cause the hair gets heavy and i don't like that feeling. This band wagon is one i should definitely hop on. My hair has been chin length my entire life and nothing works.

      Hey Nina.
I understand what you are saying, personally I wouldn't consider this a bandwagon, as it has been around many years, us American/UK girls (where ever you are lol) are just learning about it.
If you do decided to try, we can do this together !

I have been binge watching all of your chebe videos (plus the finger detangling video 😅). My hair is opposite of yours- mine is fine thin (low density), "smedium" length for the longest. This year my goal is scalp care and lenth retention to break my bsl plateau. Simply put, I want the shortest area of my hair to reach past my chest when stretched. This series has been so helpful. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. ❤

I use the actual powder on my hair after I wash it, and then a chebe grease when I moisturize my ends between wash days. Even with the actual powder in my hair, haven't had any issues with build-up.

Yay! I’m so excited I probably will not be starting the powder until the middle of April due to me getting my ends clipped on the 4th. So I’ll have to wait until til the next wash day to start.
I’m going to use medium to chunky braids because it seems to be the easiest from my research to use the powder on.
I already have a black silk scarf that wear when I use the chebe butter so that will be my chebe scarf I use since it is messy and I’m not trying to stain up the whole house lol

One thing I do when using chebe powder is to sieve it thoroughly to remove the large particles. Those are difficult to wash out of the hair. The cigarette smell of chebe lingers for days and days, but I don’t mind it.

I don’t like to speak on things I do not know about. My only concern with the Chebe and hair extension is the possible reactions that could occur. I don’t know if you are dipping the hair but people have been reporting weird reactions with current braiding hair.
Also the scalp thing. Chebe is not meant to go in the scalp.

I am confused about your in between process of applying the chebe. Will you be taking your twists down each time you apply the chebe powder? Or, will you be applying it to your twists? Thanks much.

    • @KlassicallyKept
      @KlassicallyKept  3 місяці тому +2

Hello Rina. Great question. I was trying not to confuse yall.
I will take each twist out, add warm water, add my leave in, and the re-apply the chebe and re-twist my hair.

🤔so you don't untwist & retwist until wash day... meaning you keep your twists in for 2 weeks at a time?

    • @KlassicallyKept

Every 4th day I take my twists out
      I spritz warm water
      I apply the leave in
Then I apply the chebe grease
And then I twist my hair back up!

You should look into Florishing hair care system of nyc products. I saw hair growth along with less dandruff zero frizz, moisture, etc within two weeks of using their mask and elixir.
I normally add their mask product to my scalp and hair for However, it’s imperative to rinse the Ayuverda herbs off the scalp and hair extremely well. The ingredients they have in their products are nothing I’ve heard or seen. My hair loves it
