This has been such a thorough and interesting series! I am excited to see the results of the traditional application. My hair is fine, low density and extremely prone to breakage (opposite of yours 😂). I am trying to decide which application method might be best for me, and this is so helpful. ❤
Mya, your hair is truly beautiful! It remained moisturized and neat throughout the 2 wks. Didn't look like it needed washing. Definitely would like to see the 2 wks using Chebe powder the traditional way. 🙂
Mya, have you tried a Hairbrella bandanna to protect your hair under a head wrap? It’s a larger size satin-lined, holds snugly when tied and washable. You could just hair pin it in place under your wrap.
I do not know what the band of the brush is, I stole from mother, because the bristles are so soft. I am assuming she bought it from our local beauty suply store.
Thanks for another update Mya 💕 I keep thinking of dropping some 💰 on the RevAir after my cousin who's a stylist just blow out and straighten my hair and I hated it lol 😂 I really needed to start cutting my ends more though. It's so weird how people like your hair when it's bone straight and I don't like it 🤷🏾♀️
The rev-air and I were not friends when I first got it lol, but we have worked it out. I think the rev-air is worth it if you are actually going to use it.
I recently discovered that I have been unintentionally washing my hair every 6 weeks instead of every 4 weeks for months now. How did I find out? I realised it had been a month since my birthday this year, which was when I had washed my hair😂😂 I think its because I redo my twists at least once before washday 😂😂 the fresh twists have been fooling me. On another note, I'd love to see a similar video with the chebe mixture. I enjoy process videos, especially since you're very thorough about recording it. Enjoy the rest of your week😊
lol, okay so I am not the only one. I was looking at my calendar the other day and was saying, wait a minute! I cant count lol I have been skipping an application day. 2 weeks with chebe powder: ua-cam.com/video/RTIfSUeWTGE/v-deo.html It went live April 16, 2024
I bought some chebe grease after seeing you do it and I've found my hair to be so soft! what are you putting on the ends for sealing? I do a mix of finger detangling and tools (finger detangle first and then use a tool to get any hairs I may have missed - when i find a knot I stop the tool (comb or brush) and then remove it with my hands). would love more content on the traditional way for sure, and of course reviews over time on the impact.
I’d love to see you use chebe the traditional way. Loving your videos. Your hair looks great and is similar to mine. One thing for me is my hair likes a weekly wash or at least every 10 days even with moisturizing in between.
Hi Mya, I got the Chebe grease and put way too much in my hair. My hair is medium density and thin strands. My hair was a hot greasy mess so I had to wash my hair and reapply my conditioner and the grease. I may need to use the powder instead. I would like to see you apply the chebe powder the traditional way.
Hello ! Oh no, but I am glad you were able to fix this. I am generous with the grease but I do have thick hair. Will do! I can probably video the 3rd application
1.I start by brushing my teeth. I was listening to a dermatologist one day and she stated to brush your teeth before you wash your face, she has clients come in breaking out in the mouth area because the wash their face and then brush their teeth and toothpaste residue is still on their skin. 2. I use Cerva to wash my face with a Clearsonic brush 3. I use a gua shua 4. I use a paper towel to remove the soap 5. I apply Thayers Rose and aloe toner 6. I use Nivea original cream 7. Lastly I use sunscreen - Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40
Hi Mya...I have two questions to ask... Is it possible to use chebe tea instead of water and how many twist on each side do you have...I'm not sure if u did mention the number of twist..I'm asking because I wanna know if it's possible to use the tea and also the amount of twist coz time is not on myside, I have too many, i did tiny twist and it's taking too way long to finish up..I hope my questions I making sense😊
Hello Lizzie. I have never made Chebe tea before. Are you asking about the powder vs grease ? When it coms to jumbo twists I usually have 16-18 installed, 3 on each side in the front and then the rest in the back.
It would be interesting for three months, half head with chebe grease and half head traditional way at the same time so we can see the difference.
For a comparison, great idea
Hi, thanks for sharing your journey. Could you please speak about the effects the products are having on your hair in your updates? Thanks

I have not. I know of the company. I look into this, thank you !
Mya, what soft brush are you using? (Wave brush? Which manufacturer? What type of bristles?

Hello, it smells like lemongrass.
