    It feels full circle.
A Scott singing traditional American music which was influenced by Scottish immigrants.

In a sense millions of years ago the Appalachian Mountains were part of Ireland and Scotland so in a way we are brothers by the land

Cool fact the Appalachia mountain range and Irish Mountains are from the same mountain range millions of years ago. It was all one giant mountain range and due to the continent’s separation they are thousands of miles away.

daegan_tierney yessir the Appalachian Mountains begin in canada and stretch all the way down to alabama. The entire east coast of North America once shared mountains with Scotland and Ireland. They know the beginning is in Canada because the believe glaciers carved the mountain range from the north sliding all the way down to the southern coast.

Your music makes me think of my dad. I know this song and Cattle Call because my dad and I watched a lot of westerns ( he mostly watched while I passed out).

Excellent rendition. I'm from Greenville, a town in South Carolina that's in the foothills of the Appalachians. This sounds like a version I might've heard in the mountains. It's interesting -- your accent reminds me of the accents that old people have there. Not the same, but similar.

Great riff ! I could see this rendition going well on the soundtrack of a Coen Brothers movie. "The Taming of Wild Bill " ? Smashing deep voice and Scots twang !

Hey Sam, did you realise this song has the same melody as Pastures of Plenty by Woody Guthrie? It's crazy how after a while you can start to recognise these songs together.
