Saw John with Man at the Free Trade Hall Manchester UK 1974. Brilliant Guitarist. One of the Bay Area Greats. Passed way to early😥

Wow! I just discovered this documentation of Copperhead on UA-cam! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN SAVING THIS MUSIC AND ALLOWING THE POSTING!! I lived in Berkeley and attended every Longbranch concert of Copperhead. The stage was super low and the room was small, you could stand within arm's length of the band. The energy was so phenemenol and exciting. I'm overwhelmed to re-experience this wonderful era in Cipollina's music. Copperhead was creative, original, spontaneous and the musicians interacted with one another so beautifully. there was also a lot of humor in a number of their song lyrics. Copperhead should have become really famous. My understanding is that some kind of record company politics was unlucky in this regard. The recordings of Copperhead's songs are pretty good, but do not equal the excitement of live experience. They live on in the memories of everyone who heard them play!

Was Cipollina using his wild StandellFenderWurlitzerHorn rig at this time? Are had he moved on by now?
Horn rig every time.
All through the 70's, he used the big rig. Sometime in the 80's he scaled it down.

It would be nice if we could hear John Cippolino who is barely audible.
Considering there is no other other video of Copperhead on YT I would just enjoy it for what it is...if you bought the dvd there are three more tracks which might give you some pleasure.
Yes, that's the only thing wrong with this video, would be perfect if he was louder. I've noticed that on many recording of his, even the Shady Grove album.
