I love the part about the dancing being inclusive - “if you can walk you can dance” - it’s so much better than when people are too self-conscious to participate and miss out. Love learning everything in this beautiful video!
This is also what stayed with me out of everything, the inclusivity and unity! I'm autistic and parties growing up were a terrifying occasion because of all the social cues I would undoubtedly miss, this kind of party looks a lot less overwhelming even though there is way more action! 😅
And if you are paralyzed and can't walk, you are included in the dancing anyway, no one asks "can you dance?" but just adapts to include you in the most natural way, and I'm not even Jewish!
I’m afraid to dance in public due to getting ridiculed by friends and family as a child lol. I guess It’s supposed to encourage you to be less goofy? Too bad not everyone is interested in acing “how to dance,” some people just want to feel the music lol
I grew up on Long Island, NY, so at a Catholic wedding reception, we danced the Hora. At a Protestant wedding reception, we danced the Hora. At any party with live music, we usually danced the Hora sometime during the festivities! We baby boomers danced in Conga lines, did the Hokey Pokey and the bunny hop, might have attempted a polka, and then ended the dancing with the Hora. Great memories!
@@MAMRetro What Is the Hora Dance? The hora is a traditional dance performed at Jewish weddings where the newlyweds are lifted into the air while their family and friends dance in circles around them. During the hora, the couple each holds one end of a handkerchief or napkin to signify their union.
You are so gifted and talented! You bring nachas! My family abandoned “religion” when they left Germany. We had no rituals no ceremonies. You give me all I never had. ❤

Maybe you are drawn here for a reason. I converted (Conservative Judaism) and it feels like it was always meant to be for me. I learn every time I see these videos.
We are drawn to people and places we know (even on a subconscious soul level) that are warm, safe and comforting. It doesn't matter what religion or philosophy you believe in. Sara Malka has given everyone a place where they are welcomed, loved and not judged. Watching her vlogs is like wrapping a warm, fleece blanket around us.
thank you for even considering a tour/explanation of a Synagogue. It would be so useful for a reminder for those of us here that are not Jewish let alone orthodox but want to learn about practices for our Jewish friends and colleagues
I love Jewish parties!! I noticed that at most of my family's parties (weddings, anniversary etc) most of the women get together and the men get together in their own groups. It was not required, but they just gravitated to their groups. The women to talk about babies, children, older relatives who could no longer come and of course men. The men would talk about cars, work, hunting or fishing and of course women lol. On the way home my parents would talk about the things they had heard or learned from others and I'm not sure what else because us kids would eventually fall asleep. I think that happens alot with other people, that just must be universal. But I love learning about your culture. I've always been interested in the Jewish culture and now, with you, I can explore to my hearts content. Thank you and so glad your back!!
I wasn’t taught about the rich and meaningful heritage of the Jewish people while growing up. I am Jewish by birth, and your videos have taught me so much about our people. I absolutely enjoy every moment of your videos, and I have learned so much. Thank you! And I would love for you to create a video about the interior of your Synagogue. Beautiful blessings to you and your family! 💞
This whole party hall and the traditions that are associated with it by proxy are so deep and meaningful. It's truly a beautiful thing to witness and by proxy, I am also in a festive mood.
My sister-in-law is Greek Orthodox; one of my FAVORITE memories of her & my brother's wedding/reception was the Dance of 12 Steps (I'm sorry, I can't remember the Greek name) & how it became a wild conga line situation by the end. What a wonderful tradition!
@@LastEnchantment Aww, what a great memory. The dancing at Greek weddings is right up there with the food. Do you ever get to have some Greek dishes from your sister in law?
I would love to see the Synagogue. I heard they were beautiful but never seen one. Thank you for everything you shown us. God bless you and your family ❤️🙏
We are Catholic and we were so blessed to send our son to pre-school at a Jewish Community Center for 2 years. We learned so much about the many Jewish festivals. His favorite was Sukkot!
I'm Catholic as well, & our church invited our neighbors from the synagogue to our parish to share a Seder with us so we could learn more about how G-d's chosen people carry on their traditions. It helped to bring our faith communities closer as neighbors, it helped us understand them better, we were able to share how we, as Catholics, view the Jewish community, & it was a great way to remind ourselves that Jesus was an observant Jew. I think that is forgotten WAAAY to often in the Christian world!
I love Jewish Parties. And I especially love your explanations. I grew up obeserving but not understanding why. It is nice, as a 67 yr old woman to now understand why my parents and family did things the way they did. My parents are from Morocco and my In laws are from the UK, so many differences, and a lot the same. Be well and so glad you are back! :)
I love Jewish Party! My favorite part was the importance of JOY!! We get so wrapped up in our busy lives and it's so easy to forget to enjoy ourselves!

Happy Mother’s Day to every one! Sara I am not Jewish but in my Latin culture we gravitate during parties to hang out women with women and men with men. I love Jewish party..... I am a Christian from the United States and I absolutely love watching your Channel. It is taught me so much and you bring me such joy to everything you do🥰
My favorite part of a Jewish party--Being sure that every activity/event is inclusive, regardless of age or physical ability! That in itself will bring JOY and happiness. It also lets children know they are valued, and they learn to communicate with all ages!
I loved seeing the physical differences/needs in the building! Like the sinks in the hall. Yes please do a tour of anything you think is interesting ❤️ I love Jewish parties 😊

it is my favourite part as well! forget about ourselves and all our little booboos and only focus on the person we are celebrating ! Like wow! LOVE IT!!!!
My favorite part was understanding the joy and freedom that comes with the separation of the men & women. I never truly understood how this separation truly enhanced the event. And, understanding that by this method of dancing, all are always included & welcome. I love Jewish parties.
The more I learn, the more I realize that the rituals/routines serve several very important purposes - cleanliness, mutual respect, joy, and warmth to and from the community. It doesn't matter that I don't understand keeping men and women so separated so often - what matters is that it works for those who do it. I don't have to understand it to respect it. I also love that there are safe places where you can relax, not have to worry about the food and the facility, where you can laugh and dance and feel the weaving together of the community.

I have had the amazing experience of celebrating Purim, and the finishing of a Torah scroll parties in the orthodox communities. BEST PARTIES! My family had so much fun, felt so blessed and thankful to participate. The joy - simcha- was definitely what was most amazing!
I love a Jewish party. My favorite thing was the dancing and how everyone can dance, not just the young and nimble. I would really appreciate it if you would create a video tour of an orthodox synagogue. Todah, Sarah. ❤

Thank you so much for explaining all the details. I use to be a nurse and was wondering how your specific occupation as a doctor flows with your Jewish life and duties? Does it ever clash? Could you maybe do a video on this. I have sephardic ancestry but I am Traditional Catholic. The Secular world always clashes with my faith and time spent toward it when I was in nursing.

I love Jewish party, of course! I am shallow enough to say that using the grogger at a Purim reading is my favorite thing, and a Purim party afterwards is frosting on the cake, as the saying goes.
Hello. I'm a relatively new subscriber. I am fascinated with religion, all types, and find your vlogs so interesting. I am so impressed how you are able to hold down a job, be a wife and a Mummy and still find time for yourself. I get exhausted just watching 🙂 Also, the first time I heard your outro, I got quite emotional. Thank you for that. The best part of the wedding is the dancing and the dinosaur was magnificent.
I love jewish parties. I sat here thinking about the separation, and your thoughts about it, and realized that even in non jewish parties we often separate in mens and womens groups - but without the physical devider. I really like your videos ❤
Growing up my grandmother, aunts and other extended female family members & friends always went into the kitchen and the men and boys outside. I've noticed that other Non Jewish people do this, too. Maybe it's just an intuitive inclination to segregate, connect with like and to remain proper or modest
I really love your videos, thank you for making them! I’m not Jewish but it’s very nice to see your culture and the way you live your life. You also have such a calming nice voice :)

I’m not Jewish, but I love all of of your customs. You have the most soothing voice. I love your channel ❤
I love Jewish party.
I love how you see the magic in you. You are not confused about who you are and what you want. I find that enchanting!
Amo sua voz e doçura ao falar, mesmo nao entendendo inglês ❤ Feliz dia das mães e beijos do Brasil 🇧🇷 💋😘
I Love Jewish party. My favorite is Simcha. G-d bless you. Thank you.
So glad that you are back - I missed your smiling voice, warm words of encouragement, and joyful sharing of your faith. I would love a tour of an orthodox synagogue! This particular video was especially lovely to me for the emphasis on including everyone in the party.
My favorite part was including children and the dancing.
I love Jewish party and I love to learn so much about the culture and everything that takes place in it thank you so much for including us great to be with you again❤

I love your happiness & Love & FRUM Yiddishkeit & beautiful Judaism!
We need Jewish Music & Songs to FRUM it up!!!
We only wash 4 times before bread and only dip once in salt on weekdays, while 3 times only on Shabbat.
Thanks tons!
Enjoy!🎉
Thank you so much for explaining all the details. I use to be a nurse and was wondering how your specific occupation as a doctor flows with your Jewish life and duties? Does it ever clash? Could you maybe do a video on this. I have sephardic ancestry but I am Traditional Catholic. The Secular world always clashes with my faith and time spent toward it when I was in nursing.
I love simcha and can see why it is the most important element in coming closer to God! The dancing is so wonderful, too, and it is a joy to see everyone participating. Yes, I would love to see a tour of an Orthodox Jewish Synagogue. I love Jewish party!
I love Jewish Party!
I loved watching the men dancing, as brothers and of course, the food looked delicious.
Love the warmth and smile in your voice throughout the video. And yes we love Jewish parties. They are B’H full of joy and unity.
I love Jewish party, of course! I am shallow enough to say that using the grogger at a Purim reading is my favorite thing, and a Purim party afterwards is frosting on the cake, as the saying goes.
i love it!!!! have blessed day and a shavua tov!
Hello. I'm a relatively new subscriber. I am fascinated with religion, all types, and find your vlogs so interesting.
I am so impressed how you are able to hold down a job, be a wife and a Mummy and still find time for yourself. I get exhausted just watching 🙂
Also, the first time I heard your outro, I got quite emotional. Thank you for that.
The best part of the wedding is the dancing and the dinosaur was magnificent.
I am so happy you are here Debb! It’s a filled life thank G.od !
Stay safe and blessed ❤️❤️❤️
I can't pick just one favorite part. It all looked fun. I love Jewish parties.
I was at your premiere and I love Jewish parties 🥳
Happy Mother's Day, Sara 💜🤗
thank you so so much to have been here with me Judi for the premiere!
happy day to you too!
At 6:16…”we will connect the physical world with the spiritual world “
❤❤❤
The entire stream felt welcoming and heart-warming particularly the aspect of simcha. Blessings to you and the Orthodox community for sharing this ❤
I love jewish parties.
Same here. Maybe it’s just a natural thing for women to get together and talk and men to do the same.
The best thing? Community!!!! Such a blessing!!!
I really love your videos, thank you for making them! I’m not Jewish but it’s very nice to see your culture and the way you live your life. You also have such a calming nice voice :)
My favorite part is each part of your living has a purpose-
Here is a odd thing for a non- Jewish person- In Highschool I wanted to be Jewish 🤷🏻♀️
Grew up far from any Jewish communities.
I love your videos Thank you!
Being from a non religious family and no strong tradition, at age 52- I love the idea of giving or bringing Simcha to others at the party- that’s like a heart ballon😉
