I love Jewish weddings! As a Catholic this was such a beautiful video to learn about your cultural and religious traditions. Congratulations to the bride and groom may they have a long wonderful marriage. Thanks for sharing Sara, God bless you.
Over 20 years ago, I had the honor of being part of a small circle listening to an Orthodox Jewish woman speak in detail about her lifestyle. It went over three hours and I learned so much! One of the things that stuck out the most was the part about the marriage contract and its focus on honoring the woman to the point that there's a part providing for her in case of divorce. Please correct me if my info is incorrect.
You are correct. The kesuba or Ketuba is for the protection of the woman. After the marriage many have the custom for the wife to put the kesuba in a place where only she not her husband knows where it is - once again for her protection. ( though many others have an elaborately decorated kesuba that they frame and display)
Wow…..my beshert and I will be married 7 years. Watching this video brings back memories. We even used his great grandfather’s prayer shawl, which was over 100 years old. You are so beautiful!!! You both look so happy and I’m happy! Beautiful gown!!!! ❤. We still need to find the right frame for our ketubah….
You are such an amazing film maker. Incorporating your wedding stills with the couples wedding video and honoring their privacy. So beautiful, so meaningful and seamless.
Aww thank you so so so much Pete❤️❤️ your comment touched my heart and will be printed and go in my binder where I keep all the most beautiful comments I received I look at them when things are not easy and I just want to put everything UA-cam related aside. Sara Malka your wedding pictures brought tears to my eyes. You are absolutely glowing. Your dress was beautiful and the joy on your face and your husband’s face comes right off the screen. It was lovely to see your beautiful face. The blending of the Sephardic and Ashkenasi traditions was truly beautiful. My wedding was orthodox but only Ashkenasi but I loved seeing your Sephardic roots as well. I had to laugh at the part where you and your husband were raised in the chairs. I remember that so well. I was so scared that I could hardly hold the napkin. I’m so thrilled you posted this. Just beautiful.
Awww thank you so much Sharon! I agree with you one of the scariest moment was being on the chairs 🪑 specially my hubby with is fracture ankle! I was petrified 😱! Thank you again for being such a soothing voice in my life ! Xoxoxo
This Jewish wedding video was lovely to watch. The joy that both bride and groom expressed, along with the happy celebration was uplifting. Thank you for sharing and congratulations. May God grant you many years of loving happiness together.

Attached to the ribbons on the bride’s bouquet were charms with pictures in them. One was a picture of her mom who had passed away a few years before the wedding, the other was a picture of her first husband, who had died of cancer almost exactly 2 years before the wedding. The other picture charms were tied around the altar flowers, and included pictures of the groom’s father, who died just over 2 months before the wedding. The other picture was of the groom’s first wife who also died of cancer. Incidentally, the bride’s first husband played the bagpipes at the groom’s first wife’s funeral. The two men knew each other as local police officers and often worked together. I was the matchmaker who brought the two together. The wedding was held on what would have been my parents 46th wedding anniversary. On another note, my mother’s close friend from high school had a daughter who was marrying a (Reform Jewish young man. The wedding took place in our local Catholic Church. The priest who performed the ceremony was a college friend of the bride’s father, and carefully researched the Jewish marriage rituals. He had a chuppah placed in the sanctuary, and the Old Testament reading was in Hebrew. Not too many of the grooms relatives came, but the ones who did I’m sure appreciated the priest’s efforts. I know this is getting long, but I feel that I have to add just one more thing. A number of years ago, I was sitting at a school party, speaking with the husband of one of my colleagues. The husband and wife were modern Orthodox, and Richard was surprised that I knew so much about Jewish traditions and holidays. I explained to him that everything that I believe as a Roman Catholic has its roots in Judaism, so by learning about Jewish traditions, I can better understand where my faith comes from.
I love Jewish weddings!!!! My daughter converted and her Jewish wedding to my wonderful son in law was so beautiful! Yours is an inspiring faith I admire very much.
I love Jewish Weddings. Thank you for sharing such beautiful customs. You have given me insight of my Sephardic ancestry that was lost during the Spanish inquisition. I grew up as Mexican Catholic. Many blessings to you and your family.
Oh Sara I am so sorry to hear that your poor husband was on crutches for your wedding and in pain! But I am so happy to see that he had a great time despite this! Gods blessings on you both and your kiddos! Much love ❤️! Px

Thank you for sharing the beautiful moments of your wedding day. This is the first time I've ever had the privilege to see a Jewish wedding, so thank you. Love and blessings. I LOVE JEWISH WEDDINGS! ❤❤
I'm really inspired by you as a woman and as a wife:) I'm impressed. I was a homeless heroin addict and by the Grace of God today I am strong, sober, have a great job and a loving husband. I'm glad that I now know where to look for the right kind of guidance and inspiration:)
As a Digital Media major, I would absolutely be mortified if I lost footage. Every worst nightmare is a lost photo or video due to accidental deletion or a corrupt SD card. On a positive note, I absolutely love the meaning behind each part of the wedding.
Greetings from the Sephardic stronghold of Seattle, WA ❤! I’m another Sarah, who would be THRILLED to see a video from you about Moroccan Henna ceremonies and the relevance of henna in the life of Jewish married women. TODAH RABAH for shining your light on us Sara Malka, even us fellow Jewish working moms are learning from you and being strengthened💗. Keep it up! You have a big fan here.
I love Jewish weddings! This vlog brought tears to my eyes because it was all about love: love between two people as well as love for family, friends and unknown viewers. Your prayers as you walked toward the canopy and your words at the close of this video are evidence that you are a healer. Bless you.
I love Jewish weddings! The first one I went to was an absolute BLAST. I never danced so hard in my life! There were people in costumes and there was a fire eater! There was so much joy and celebration.
I love Jewish weddings! I was not raised religious but envy the strength and reassurance you have from your community. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with the new marriage as well as your own. You are such an amazing person. The prayers you had while the cloth was over your face are so kind and your smile on that day was a beacon of light. Truly, you are a gorgeous person.
The loving looks you gave to each other at your wedding filled my day with joy and light. I just hope for everyone to be looked like that every day of their lives.
The most beautiful and deeply spiritual wedding, felt by myself and others, was a Jewish wedding! Every guest was treated as royalty come to witness a very holy event. It was also very elegant in every way. My co-worker, the Bride, was so exquisite in her gown. She was positively radiant and her Groom was, and still is one of the finest gentlemen I know. Perfect pair and God Blessed them with children and now grandkids! Shalom.
Nothing fills me with joy more than watching people celebrating their rituals and customs. Thank you so much for sharing this special and beautiful wedding, (both yours and your friends), it made me so happy!
I love that Jewish women wear modest bridal gowns. I was married almost 42 years ago ( we are Catholic) and I made my gown, which had a high neckline and long sleeves. I dislike today's provocative bridal gowns. One can be a beautiful, elegant bride without revealing what, in my opinion, should be covered up. I really enjoy your channel, and learning about Jewish culture and beliefs. Blessings!
I love Jewish weddings! Such a beautiful display of devotional relationship with Hashem and with husband and wife! What a blessing to watch! Thank you.
My daughter came home in December and told me she is marrying her best friend. A lovely Jewish boy named Ari. He is not Orthodox but I am completely ignorant of his faith and traditions, I'm trying to catch up as fast as I can. Thank you for this lovely video and all of the explanations of why you do the things you do. I can find what happens but not the why. I am thrilled she has found such an amazing young man and they have such plans, I cannot wait. Thank you, one mother to another, for helping me love and support my child and her fiancé.
I love Jewish weddings! I love that family and love for everyone is the focus and not the bride only. Congratulations to the newly-married couple, and blessings on your sweet family.
I loved your dedication at the very end to the ones who are now in eternity. Lovely video and absolutely loved seeing the pictures of your wedding and the current ceremony. May the Good Lord bless this lovely new family. I love Jewish weddings
This was so beautiful, I was in tears! Such a lovely explanation of each little thing, and everything done with such reverence and joy. I'm only sorry that we were secular at the time of our wedding and didn't do this. That would have been incredible!
I enjoy your UA-cam Videos. I am not Jewish but I was a single mother with two little girls and I was helped by my Jewish boss to go to nursing school. I have never forgotten his kindness. I have known many Jewish families and they were always very kind and welcoming. I believe they lived to make this world a better place. Thank you for sharing your culture and beliefs with all of us.
You filmed this wedding so wonderfully, you're really an incredible film maker and presenter. The photos of your wedding are also lovely! (I love Jewish Weddings!)
I cried for the Jewish weddings are so spiritual. Maybe I will be married again at my 64th birthday. 🥰🥰. My husband passed away in 2015 and then my baby girl who was 25 yrs old in 2018. I was taking some Hebrew classes on line and I met this Jewish, Moroccan man. We chat, he consoled me throughout the passing of my daughter. On the 3rd year of chatting and seeing each other on facetime we really liked each other. He is almost finished with a new home in Israel where he lives but I live in Florida. I am planning a trip to Israel to meet in person. We already want to be together so, I pray to HaShem that all goes well. I am in love and he is too. He has been single for 24 years. Of course he was married too at one point. We truly love each other the new home is almost done and when the new home is done we will be making the plans to finally meet. I am so excited because I have never been to Israel. The beautiful Holy Land that I have read in our Hebrew Bible. Your videos inspires me for I am also a cook. Toda for your amazing videos. Shabbat Shalom from my family to yours. B'H🕯️🕯️🍷🥖🥖😊😊
I just came upon your videos, and I really enjoy the way you explain rituals and traditions in your beautiful, calm and joyful voice. I am Catholic and though the traditions are different, I feel a strong connection to people of the Jewish Faith. May you and your family be blessed with long, happy and healthy lives. Thank you for sharing your life with outsiders. ♥️
Love the history that you gave us.. Part Sephardic Here. Halevi from Spain and Portugal but was expelled and went to Mexico,Argentina, and New Mexico circa 1500 with the conquistador. Great wedding.
I love Jewish weddings! I enjoy learning about different cultures and beliefs. Thank you for explaining the significance of the ceremonies and showing us your wedding pictures. You have such a calm and pleasant voice. Keep the videos going!
I love Jewish weddings. ✡️. So deeply serious and yet hours of fun and dancing unconditional love ❤️ Thank you for sharing this with people of different or no faith. Love to all. Lynne
I love Jewish weddings! Everyone is so happy and participates. I'm extremely happy for you and your husband. On your special day you recognized other people as your mothers walk you down the path. What a wonderful child of Hashem you are.
I love Jewish weddings 💑 Thank you for sharing this, I am not Jewish but I love watching your videos and others like it. By the way, the words you speak at the end of your videos to all who are still watching, make me feel so good, they lift my weary soul...❤
I love Jewish weddings! I grew up in a traditional family but and now frum. When I got married I didn’t fully understand all these aspects of a Jewish wedding like you explained so beautifully. Now I wish I could do it again 🥹 מזל טוב!!
THank you so much Lani for your kind words:) I am sure your wedding was beautiful too BH and i am now absolutely certain you will explain all the facets of the wedding to your children or nieces or friends children when they will be ready to get married BzH:) you will be a real Jewish Wedding wikipedia! xoxox

I love Jewish weddings! My first Jewish wedding will probably be my own in 2024 as I am converting and most of my engaged friends are not Jewish 😅 the pictures from your wedding are beautiful and so joyous and the video is stunning as well. My fiance is Ashkenazi and I am half-Syrian and we want to honor both Ashkenazi and Sephardi customs in our wedding. I love the thought of getting to spend time with all the women before the ceremony to give blessings!
I love Jewish weddings! I went to my first Orthodox, Chabad wedding about a month ago, and it was so beautiful! It was an incredibly spiritual experience. I am so grateful and honored that I was invited to be a part of it. Thank you for sharing this video and your own photographs and story.
I love Jewish weddings! I was walking in my favorite park one day back in the mid 80's and spontaneously took the path that lead down to a small lake. To my surprise, there was a wedding going on and, being hearing impaired, I couldn't understand what was being said. I found out later that it wasn't my hearing or the respectful distance, it was a Jewish wedding! It was the most beautiful wedding I'd ever seen! I also found out later that the Bride was a cousin of my next door neighbor. So, did * I * make that Spontaneous move to follow that path, or was I being guided? I was baptized in to the Southern Baptist religion when I was 9, and didn't fully understand what I was doing. At 17, sitting in church during an Advent service, God showed Himself to me, and wrapped me in a hug of pure love and bright white light. I go back to that hug during hard times, and I know I am loved by our gracious Heavenly Father! Mazel Tov!
Wooowww what a beautiful story❤️ thank you so much for sharing it with me: I feel very blessed🥰 You probably know my answer: I think you were divinely guided as nothing is haphazardly happening in someone’s life🥰 Xoxox
Lee Ann Johnson, I too was baptized into the Southern Baptist Church around nine! ( I’m non denominational now) I’ll be 40 in a few days and I thank God the Father for sending His Son that I can live sin free and live eternally 🙌🏻 I praise Jesus for those hugs every day feeling Him walking and talking with me cause I can’t even do this life without Him! Isaiah 53❤❤❤
From the age of 3 I attended The Salvation Army, becoming a uniformed senior soldier aged 15. My wedding was a Salvation Army one so tee total for me and the surroundings were much more austere. I left for 30 years but now aged 68 I am back in the religion I love. I adore Judaism and love learning about your culture and traditions because after all there would be no Christianity without Judaism so you are our fathers.
I love Jewish weddings! I’m so happy you made this! Just seeing the love, joy and happiness in the picture of you and your husband exchanging smiles at your wedding is so heart warming, i have no words. Your remembrance at the end to those departed from you was very moving. I’m so glad you are my UA-cam friend. Ive been very encouraged and have learned so much.
Shalom, my beautiful friend Sara. This video was beautiful, it was my honor!!! to see your beautiful day of your wedding and to see how special and beautiful a Jewish wedding 💒 is enjoyed and celebrated. Every area was beautiful and you looked so happy and loved. Sara, I love Jewish Wedding 💒 Bendiciones Sara and family 🙏
I’m balling my eyes out here. As a Christian, there is so much we neglect and this is an absolutely beautiful and bright example of where we all can glean something G-d is doing in the lives of people. Mazel Tov and thank you very much for the video.
Such an incredibly stunning wedding! The ceremony, the blessings, the people, everything and everyone are just so absolutely beautiful! I am sorry for the loss in your family, I’m sending you many positive blessings and hugs! I would love to be apart of a Jewish wedding one day, it would be fascinating to see! Much love to you my amazing friend! ❤️

@@iceeyes3875 awww thank you Alyson ( such a perfect name for you!!) I would love to come and see an Irish wedding! I’m sure they must be filled with traditions! Or maybe 🤔 I’m Just imagining things! 😅😅😅 Xoxoxo
So much history involved in this. The beautiful veil placed over your face by the groom, to know the reason behind the tradition was wonderful. The candles that were carried, representing the souls of family and friends that had passed on touched my soul deeply. The blessings, representing the purity of the new spirit, the open sides of the covering to represent your welcome to all. The contract is in a way like the prenup contracts of today, but I imagine there is more love contained in the contract and the promises it contains. And lastly, the breaking of the glass. I had never known the meaning behind this tradition until now. And it makes me want to know more. Lastly, the joy of the celebrations after the wedding, And to know it continues for seven days! Oh my goodness, I love Jewish Weddings! Someday, please give a deeper understanding of the meaning behind some of these traditions. And your pretty headscarves, I am not Jewish but would love to have a few to keep my hair under control. Thank you for sharing this precious time with the public. It is a treasure. Live long, and prosper.
I reached your channel after randomly searching for "Sephardic recipes". I just wanted to learn a few recipes to 'impress' my Sephardic boyfriend.. As an Indian woman who has never been exposed to Jewish culture/cuisine, I wanted to 'try' and 'impress' my (Sephardic) boyfriend. But, your positivity, your energy, and your vibes kept me coming back to your channel over and over and over. The last few weeks, I'd randomly pick one of your videos to watch, after a long day of work, just to hear you say "Know that in my book, you're special", towards the end of the video. Now, it's my daily routine to watch your videos. Just so you know : Your videos touch my heart, everytime I hear you speak. But, your wedding video is absolutely a different tier. I loved how you put it together, how you explained different aspects of the tradition and the meaning behind each practice. Thank 🙏🙏 you so much! It means a lot to me. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched this video. My wish for you is that you continue to be gorgeous, and healthy, happy, loved, cherished and blissful! My wish for us is that we continue to watch your videos, your positive talking, and your love for the world, and the love for your family. Sometimes, you are my "inner talk". When things get tough, I would ask myself "what would Sara do?" And I would hear your giggle, and hear your voice "Thank God! I was able to finish this task. Thank God! I was able to persist through the circumstances". And, I immediately feel so much better. Oh, and as for my boyfriend : He didn't want me to 'try'. He didn't want me to 'impress'. He just wants me to just 'be'. And, 'I AM'. Everytime, I keep telling him that he is the light in my heart, and I tell him how much he means to me. All thanks to Sara Malka, I have learned to look past the 'little things', and be thankful for my boyfriend. Sara, you have really impacted my mindset and my way of thinking about my family, friends, and also about my future family. If no one has told you today, You are very special and we all love you. You are perfect the way you are, and hearing your giggles is like a warm hug. I hope to hear you laugh more often.
As I am reading your words tears are rolling down my cheeks: G.od knew i needed to hear that today and you my friend are the perfect messenger:) May G.od bless your ways and always bring you peace of mind through thick and thin. You are loved sweetie and your are a beautiful receptacle for love and happiness. xoxoxox

I'm really inspired by you as a woman and as a wife:) I'm impressed. I was a homeless heroin addict and by the Grace of God today I am strong, sober, have a great job and a loving husband. I'm glad that I now know where to look for the right kind of guidance and inspiration:)
God bless and keep you strong and flourishing!
You made such a beautiful bride, and the joy on your faces was so wonderful to see! Thank you for this lovely video!
Bless you.
I love the adoration you and your husband show on your faces
I love Jewish weddings! The first one I went to was an absolute BLAST. I never danced so hard in my life! There were people in costumes and there was a fire eater! There was so much joy and celebration.
so cooolll!
Shalom.
I truly love Jewish Weddings!
I love Jewish weddings! Thank you for sharing this beautiful celebration with us! ❤️
Nothing fills me with joy more than watching people celebrating their rituals and customs. Thank you so much for sharing this special and beautiful wedding, (both yours and your friends), it made me so happy!
Glad you enjoyed it
I DO love Jewish Weddings. You are also loved and are enough. ❤️ Thank you for teaching us.
You made many people happy with this video. God bless you, and may you live in peace, harmony, and love all the days of your lives. Amen
I am happy it could help Amanda❤️
What an absolutely glorious presentation. I found it very touching. Very thorough, clear, welcoming…wish the world were more like like this
thank you so much sweet friend!
I love Jewish weddings. I have learn so many different things from your videos about the Jewish cultural. Weddings are a time to celebrate. Thank you
I Love Jewish Weddings! Beautiful! Prayers for a long and joyful life, with many, many Blessings! 💖🙏🤗
I love Jewish weddings! I love that family and love for everyone is the focus and not the bride only. Congratulations to the newly-married couple, and blessings on your sweet family.
I love jewish weddings!! This was lovely!!
I love Jewish weddings. The love of the guests for the couple, the shevah brachot and yamim, the ketubah, the time alone for the couple. ❤🥹
Gods blessing to you and your family, from a friend. That
I love Jewish weddings! I enjoy learning about different cultures and beliefs. Thank you for explaining the significance of the ceremonies and showing us your wedding pictures. You have such a calm and pleasant voice. Keep the videos going!

I love Jewish weddings! Everyone is so happy and participates. I'm extremely happy for you and your husband. On your special day you recognized other people as your mothers walk you down the path. What a wonderful child of Hashem you are.
Thank you so much Sara,such a joy!❤
I love Jewish weddings! My family is very traditionally Catholic and it's so lovely seeing some traditions that we have are so similar.
I love Jewish weddings 💑 Thank you for sharing this, I am not Jewish but I love watching your videos and others like it.
By the way, the words you speak at the end of your videos to all who are still watching, make me feel so good, they lift my weary soul...❤
Thank you for being here and please know the words I say at the end are heartfelt and I say them to you with all my heart ❤️ xoxox
I love Jewish weddings!
I grew up in a traditional family but and now frum. When I got married I didn’t fully understand all these aspects of a Jewish wedding like you explained so beautifully. Now I wish I could do it again 🥹
מזל טוב!!
THank you so much Lani for your kind words:)
I am sure your wedding was beautiful too BH and i am now absolutely certain you will explain all the facets of the wedding to your children or nieces or friends children when they will be ready to get married BzH:) you will be a real Jewish Wedding wikipedia!
xoxox
Both weddings were quite beautiful. Thank you for sharing and God Bless!
Wonderful! Two beautiful, joyful weddings, yours and your friends. Thank You for sharing them with us.
Really appreciate your hard work for each video🙏🏻💕
I love Jewish weddings! My first Jewish wedding will probably be my own in 2024 as I am converting and most of my engaged friends are not Jewish 😅 the pictures from your wedding are beautiful and so joyous and the video is stunning as well. My fiance is Ashkenazi and I am half-Syrian and we want to honor both Ashkenazi and Sephardi customs in our wedding. I love the thought of getting to spend time with all the women before the ceremony to give blessings!
Mazal Tov for your engagement Ronan!
And may your wedding be an k going source of light for k’lal Israel!
Xoxoox
R u Jewish by blood?
Remember converting for people is meaningless to God.
Sarah...you are beautiful. What a wonderful, blessed couple. Thank you for sharing this very sacred day with us. I love Jewish weddings!
I love Jewish weddings and your sweet video too with the loving message at the end! God Bless you abundantly!
Mazel Tov!
Wooowww what a beautiful story❤️ thank you so much for sharing it with me: I feel very blessed🥰
You probably know my answer: I think you were divinely guided as nothing is haphazardly happening in someone’s life🥰
Xoxox
What a beautiful time to be a bride! Thank you for sharing your traditional Jewish wedding!
Hi Amie, I feel very blessed to have you as my friend as well🥰🥰you are so special ❤️
Stay safe and blessed my sweet sweet Amie☀️☀️☀️

I love Jewish weddings! What a beautiful eremony! God's blessings upon your new lives together!
I’m balling my eyes out here. As a Christian, there is so much we neglect and this is an absolutely beautiful and bright example of where we all can glean something G-d is doing in the lives of people. Mazel Tov and thank you very much for the video.
Awww Thank you so much Matty🥰
Right ❤️🙏
Such an incredibly stunning wedding! The ceremony, the blessings, the people, everything and everyone are just so absolutely beautiful! @@frumitup I would be honored! And when time comes for my children, I would absolutely love having you there as well! I don’t know if you ever experienced an Irish Brooklyn wedding before. I’d like to properly introduce myself. My name is Alyson. I realized I never used it on here. Thank you for always bringing me such positivity. Much love to you and your family ♥️
@@iceeyes3875 awww thank you Alyson ( such a perfect name for you!!) I would love to come and see an Irish wedding! I’m sure they must be filled with traditions! Or maybe 🤔 I’m
Just imagining things! 😅😅😅
Xoxoxo
As I am reading your words tears are rolling down my cheeks: G.od knew i needed to hear that today and you my friend are the perfect messenger:)
May G.od bless your ways and always bring you peace of mind through thick and thin.
You are loved sweetie and your are a beautiful receptacle for love and happiness.

I love Jewish weddings! This was such a lovely insight into this joyous occasion.
