I wanna be particular and disagree but after traveling through the wide world of “metal” music these last 15 years or so… I’ll have to agree with this. Metal music has a vast range of genres but still has a line that separates them all and for years I never wanted to nor cared for jumping over that line but after I did and explored the darker side of it; Behemoth is the one band that cast a light onto them all; ironically but yeah; this band is Omnipotent… it sounds ironic but that’s literally how powerful they and the messages they transport are… I’m a “Christian” but they literally have found a way to portray the deception of satan and his trickery so well that it’s hypnotizing… again, ironically

I know you guys asked for some good live Behemoth recommendations. They just put out 3 live music videos for Messe Noire, The Satanist and Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel Personal favorites of mine though are Decade Ov Therion or Conquer All Live in Paris from the 2008 Evangelion DVD. But the previous 3 are much newer and cinematic. Their 2014 Ekaterinburg set is also DVD shot and anything out of there would probably be good also. Cheers guys!

I don't know about any good live videos but i can share my own personal experience. I saw them back in the summer of 2014 in Israel(it was during wartime and it just added so much value in my opinion), they came after Megadeth cancelled on the very last day and essentially sent Dave a massive FU for bailing on the Israeli crowd. as for the show itself, Nergal is just as energetic live as he is in the videos, he's extremely active and the essence of it can be even darker live at times from what you get in their videos. They were truthfully among the best bands i have ever seen and i had my share of them both in Israel and abroad.

I think one of the reasons we don't do that as much is because if makes us miss something else in the song. So it becomes easier to take it all in and then dissect it. I also found that my son prefers to take it all in without me interrupting his listening experience. lol
