    I couldn’t agree more about “health data” getting inside your head! I ditched my Fitbit early last year. People say “what gets measured, gets managed”, but honestly what gets measured for me personally, stresses me out no end.

    We use vinegar as fabric softener but must look into the eco egg, although we probably do at least 10 washes per week 🙈 😅

      Ohhhhh the eco egg wouldn't last super long in your house but could be way more cost effective! You only buy the egg once, then the refill beads as needed.

    Tampons do actually have expiry dates so worth a check. Not sure on pads. Totally agree on the watch - can get inside your head. My watch tells me 4/5 times a day that I’m stresses which I’m sure is meant to be helpful but it make me more stressed 😂😂

      That makes sense as it's internal... although if I was desperate I would probably still chance it! Ugh yeah the watches; they can be more of a burden than a help!

    I don't use any heat styling tools to style my hair and I rarely use my hairdryer which I know sounds pretty weird! I plait my hair or comb in anti-frizz serum when I want my hair wavy or straight after washing it before it dries and I use the aurora band sleep in hair roller which I saw on Dragon's Den Ireland years ago when I want it wavy. I don't have lovely thick hair like yours so I know this wouldn't work for a lot of others. I love hearing the girls playing in the background!

      Up until 2023/2024 I SO RARELY used heat styling tools; but this past year I've started blow drying my hair and I'm a convert; I find my hair lasts a little longer between washes and my scalp is way calmer too for it. Not for everyone though! Would you believe I just bought a heatless curler rod thing last week, I must try it soon! x

    I dont have any of those things apart from the fitbit which I mostly use to remind me how little I move when working remotely! I have laundry sheets that come in cardboard packing and use vinegar as needed for washing.
    Menstrual cups FTW, been using one for about 12 years now and could never go back

      I'm getting loads of comments re vinegar; I really have to add that into my routine! You used menstrual cups back when they were REALLY weird, LOL!

      AH no way! Maybe it's a solo-living thing? Super interesting. I HAVE to start using vinegar in my washes; can you tell me exactly how much you use? And you pop it in the softener drawer, yes? x

    • @ljorahilly
      @ljorahilly День тому

      Exactly into the softener compartment I always fill it up to the max line. Best deal is in Mr Price, I think it’s 5l (plastic) drum of vinegar for €4.99 (I think) or else glass bottles in Tesco for around 70c each ❤ you can add essential oils into the vinegar for a scent, I usually add them into the dryer balls when using the tumble dryer ❤

    I used the eco egg for a few years and I thought it was great but then I decided to use detergent and couldn't believe how ONE wash brought my colours back to life and my whites white again and I just can't go back to using the egg.

      Oh really?! That's a shame it didn't work super well for you. I find it really good, even at removing stubborn stains!

      I didn't have a microwave for about a year and it was absolutely GRAND. Ovens/hobs produce heat which can... TADA, re-heat food! I have one now mind, but I might use it once a week?

    I have a TV, yet I don’t watch telly AT ALL (unless it’s something on RTE PLayer)… but I just cannot fathom watching a film on a laptop/tablet AND without surround sound. Not watching a film on a big screen would ruin the “experience” (gods, I hate this word 🤢) completely for me… Despite going to the cinema twice a week!

    New to your channel. Good to see an Irish content creator on UA-cam as from what I can see Irish people on UA-cam are thin on the ground.
    With the tv I haven’t watched main stream media in years. I watch UA-cam bitchute etc from our TV.
    All those smart watches, Fitbit rings etc I’d never wear them I won’t be buying them for my son either. I don’t like being tracked. I don’t want a watch or ring to tell me what to do. My private health & wellbeing information is my business.
    I have to say I’ve never heard of a menstrual cup.
    I gave up using fabric softener a long time ago because I feel it’s bad for our skin. I only use white vinegar as fabric softener & it’s fantastic.
    Botox and fillers its a big no for me. I don’t trust big pHARMa.
    I like your channel I’ve only watched a few videos I get the impression you are a climate saver for me I don’t believe there’s anything wrong with our beautiful planet. It’s a scaremongering taxing tool for governments to make money from.

    You actually look like you've had botox and I mean that as a total compliment! You just don't show a lot of expressions in your forehead... I hope that makes sense. Again, I mean it as a compliment 😊

    • @Lauras_Views
      @Lauras_Views  2 дні тому +1

      So, yes, and I want to word this carefully so as not to sound, I dunno, but I've always had a fairly expressionless forehead. HOWEVER, when COVID hit and we were masked, I found myself using my forehead a LOT more to express myself, which is when I started to see lines starting. Plus I was 34 in 2020 so probably a combination of natural aging and a masked face!
