- I have been using this tool on OBS for a while now to I thought I should share it with you. This also works for those who post on YT from twitch gameplays and such.

you are an absolute saint for helping with this. tried watching a different video on this and it confused me so much. thanks for explaining it in a way i understand, you're a real one
Glad it helped!
Other videos were downloading other programs making it confusing af. Yours was easy to follow with no new programs. Appreciate it my man.
No problem glad I could help
Worked like a charm! Thank you so much!
No problem glad I can help
Does this still work?
Thank you! Everyone else wants people to download stuff but your video is easy to follow! 🙌
Do you know how he is separating his music audio from default desktop audio?
@@vermillionkingpin I followed a different video on how to separate audio, and downloaded a program to do that
@@ashildrtheswift3028 OBS studio lets you do it without any extra software now.
youre a saint good sir, i never thought about audio tracks, i just had VODs turned off so i could jam out on stream!
Thank you
You did a fine job explaining this my dude. Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it helped
Very easy to follow and I thank you for it.
You are welcome!
Thank you! Helped me out on the OBS side now i gotta figure out how to setup voicemeeter banana
THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU ARE A BLESSING!
No problem
Does this still work? 5:07
how do you separate music from desktop audio?
same i want to listen to the music with ma stream, how do we seperate ausios without lowering desktop audio to the point it dont show up in vods???
can yu show us your prioroty audios
I have done this method but i can barely hear my spotifty audio on my VOD's. They sound like music echoing from something but surely audible. Is there any solution you can recommend?
How do you get spotify to play through a "music" track instead of just desktop audio
❤ this is my current problem too @midaction
yoo, i think i remember playing gow4 with you in some facebook group a few times back in the day. lmao. your name is mad familiar. thanks for this vid, big help.
Most likely lol also I appreciate it
I dont fully understand this, my music still plays through my desktop audio and through its own audio source, how do I seperate them because if i turn off the music source for vods then it still is playing in the desktop audio which means its still in the vods.
Please someone reply with this solution, im having the same issue ;-;
Mute desktop audio and add separate scenes for different windows with the audio capture on!
I don’t get it I stream ufc and I’m afraid of getting banned on twitch becoming there is copyright music in the game I haven’t got any claims yet but it will tell me like you have multiple instances of copyright right music in your vods or something like that and idk how you can get copy right claimed for that
thank you for teaching me sir 🙂
It's my pleasure
Helped alot 💯
Glad I could help
Thank you for this
No problem
does thsi still work?
Yea lol
appreciate you!
No problem
Hey man, dumb question but how do you have your spotify not hitting desktop audio? I have to use desktop audio for some games because I have to capture the screen, is there a way for spotify purely to go through my source and not hit my desktop audio in obs?
You may have to look up a application to split sources like Voice meter banana or something like that.
Thank you so much! looks like i can stream with youtube music now. thank you.
Glad I could help!
Thank you!
i see have a music quote on quote tab in obs. never shown the setting of that music tab how different from lets say desktop audio. if you could shed some light on this id be thankful.
You may have to use something like voice meeter banana to get the virtual audios to separate them
Thank you so much
I do not have that line with Twitch VOD track
TY KING
Thanks a lot bro
No problem
This is great.... but what if you already streamed and you're trying to get rid of that music post VOD. Like after it's already been made? I keep finding videos of pre and I've already crossed that point. Accidentally made a stream that was too loud in the background music (New, luckily no one was on but sucks to delete a stream yah know.) so yeah..If you have any tips for POST already making the mistake of streaming with the music too loud that would really help. Thank you bud!
Unfortunately I don't know how to do that
Let’s go!!
yo man, would like to ask how do i add alerts as separate audio source? i don't even know wat to capture as source
You may have to use voice meeter banana for virtual audio sources
thank you young Pele !
Good shit buddy. I’ll have to try this when I get home. Appreciate you!
No problem
Did it work?
@@iruntoughness9652 yes sir I play whatever I want when I stream
@@alexsaurusreks2694 me too man
I have tried this method. done exactly what you have done but for some reason i have zero audio coming through my vods. is this how its supposed to work? or am i missing something here where it should only be the music source being removed from the vods. i changed a few things around from my initial settings to ensure it was set up just like yours. but still no audio is coming through, both before and after
yeah you may need an app to seperate your sources so you can manage them individually instead on desktop audio
ok cool thank you ill look into that
I only have 2 output devices. I'm assuming that it doesn't work unless you have multiple devices, or is it a virtual sound mixer?
Right you need something like voicemeeter banana
@@QBZ24 can u show us that
It still doesn't work for me even I used the AUdio App (BETA) i setup up where my spotify would broadcast my music for stream. But my headsets still receives that music audio which is mix with game audio. I still can't get it right.
You need an application that will split your audios then it will work
How do you know which tracks to check/uncheck?
What ever you want heard you check it then that column lines up for that track
Can you do this with your webcam (webcam for the live remove it for the saved?)
No you can't do that. You may want to look up replay buffer
listen i had been getting a email from twitch even thou i did not even play any music and i was getting dmca notification idk what is going on and i am brand new streamer?
Video game music is still considered copyright depending on the song
Can you update pls? I dont think its working now. I can hear the music when I record
It still works for me
How do u link the spotify to the obs i only get 2 things in audio mixer
Sound Settings> app sound and device preference you may have to get a virtual sound app like Voice Meeter Banana
@@QBZ24 ok will try thank you, ill let u kno if i achieve it
i dont understand tho like the music and game audio comes to the same audio input source so that means u wont get game sound either
Try this steelseries.com/gg/sonar/download or voice meeter to seperate your audios
@@QBZ24 all good g i was using streamlabs and never understoof but watched another tutorial on obs for it and i got it working
goated video
Ive done everything step by step and i cant get it to work for some reason im using a go xlr so my settings r like urs plz help if u can
Make sure your music that your playing is on the music sound settings for the goxlr. So my Spotify will play on the music setting no matter what or what every app u use.
So what if I don’t wanna hear the music myself but I want my followers to listen it while I’m playing what do you do
You may have to get a virtual audio mixer ie Voice meeter. Then you can do that.
Can u make a new video with the new updated obs 28?
It's still the same
@@QBZ24 does this still work right now?
Is there a similar way to do this on an Xbox one console?
No because the xbox sound is all one input
Do you play music throigh your pc or xbo
Pc
I had this for a while but my music started playin on my VODS again. I got all these emails from UA-cam. I was like SHIT. Ty for the video though
you need to make sure your sources are right
What should I do if the game itself has music?
Turn the music off or down
My Spotify audio shows up in my desktop audio in obs. Do you know how to stop that?
Sound Settings> app sound and device preference
you may have to get a virtual sound app like Voice Meeter Banana
Gotcha. It feels like the new obs update is SO CLOSE to nailing this by itself. Thanks for the reply.
hi do you have any video showing how to set up GOXLR and OBS for console steam to twitch with elgato capture card to pc im new at streaming and cant fined any video showing console stream to pc with capture card and goxlr and obs any help would be appreciated thanks bro
I assume it works with UA-cam also?
I have never tried that
@@QBZ24 thanks ima try I’ll let you know when I get home
Thanks man really helped out alot fr
Glad I could help
i did this but i cant hear my own music, did i do something wrong?
Seems like it. May want to check your settings
Make sure you put monitor and output on it
Does this still work?
Yes I still use it
It’s still showing up on my desktop audio
Try using this to separate audio gamingcareers.com/guides/separate-audio-in-obs/
Desktop audio plays everything in your pc, you need to split out all sounds into it’d own source
God Loves You Daily Reminder ❤️✝️🙏🏾
Playing GTA: vice city, the radio stations gave me a warning
I don't have music on when playing this games no way to block it out
@@QBZ24 ah i gotcha, turn to radio off 👍🏻 I had no idea, even thou its the games music, I got a warning.
This video was very useful for what i needed it to do. HOWEVER. all the "extra" talking was unnescessary. We dont care what your aduio tabs were for. Why cant you just get to the point of the video and leave all the "extra" chatter alone, Just get to the point without all the extra gibberish out
I didn't drag the video out. I gave information that some people would like to know.
This guide is bad. Stop rabbling and get to the point..
You ate the first negative post here 🤣
@@QBZ24 Well that's what the comment section is for in this case. To give you feedback so you can improve your content creation. I found a guide that showed how to set this up but in a 2 minute video while it took you 1:45 just to start the tutorial so I think my original comment is valid. He got my sub, you get none. Have a good day.
Cool bruh good for you. My video is fine thanks tho be blessed
ok, but how are you separating your music from regular desktop audio?
Yo did you find out how ?
What if I do the at and I multi stream to other platforms?
