- In today's adventure I embark to the Lincoln Center in Stockton, California telling the rich history and the before and after of Lincoln Center. Lincoln Center has been around for nearly over 60 years, started in 1951. Today Lincoln Center sits on two properties as Benjamin Holt Drive cuts the two in half.

Anyone else remember the slide? The footings are still there, but the slode was ripped out in the 70's because people kept getting injured. Oh, how I miss Smorgy Boys!
@@ModelA Yes Paul I do remember the slide....I was just looking for it and I also remember the theatre and the smorgy's ....Hardly anyone does remember those. Also we have a debate some people and myself. I say the slide was sort of next to the islander, on the South Lincoln Center. Many agree with me. However someone swears it is where Payters is. I don't think so.....What do you think Paul?
@@lynettethebrunette8969 The rear footing for the slide are still there if you want to pinpoint it. The slide was on the south side of Ben Holt just west of where the Islander was. It was just a short walk from the Norge laundromat. About 300 feet west from where the Chevron is now, right on the edge of the parking lot.
