I grew up on Filbert south of Main (60's and 70's) and it was not that bad. Had a friend that lived on Anderson that I'd come back to see, and it had gone downhill, a lot more drug dealers around. My mom finally sold the old house in 2004 or so.
You are brave! I always want to go there for the old building photography, but my husband has a fit. Stockton has a lot of history. Would love to get some of it before they are torn down. back in the day, the newspaper would put numbers on the neighborhoods on the rental & buying section. Best to the worst. Stay safe!

If you do a part 3 go to Louis Park neighborhood, Kentfield/Bianchi neighborhood, Oak Park, Sutter street, Rose Marie and Kelly drive. Those are North side hoods and West Side hoods Charliebo only went to south and east side of city it’s more hoods than that
The whole central valley is a shithole. From Redding all the way down to Bakersfield. Who would want to live in Yuba City, Stockton, Fresno, Merced, or Modesto?

In 1996, I remember visiting my Uncle in Stockton CA. It was so nice. I walked all over Stockton and never felt I was endangered. Over 20 years later, what the hell happened. My Uncle move out and sold his home before all this shit happened. Sad
I grew up there. It was way worse in the 90's. Started getting better in the early 2000's then the housing crisis, city bankruptcy then started going to shit again. Some parts of Stockton are nice but most isn't. But I love my people there, alot of good hard working people, and alot of idiots.

This area of Stockton is some of the first part of Stockton built. It has the oldest buildings and stores. But these streets looks pretty clean. Not much trash or illegal dumping. No big crowds of people.
There was alot more palm trees in this area in years past. You'd see country roads and long driveways leading to farms and town lined with them and not just in stocton but throughout the valley.

The roads in Stockton aren't really that bad, so it doesn't affect the camera that much. I'm in Sacramento but I'm staying in Stockton. If I get a chance to record more in Stockton I'll try to include some of that.

The nearest city thats dangerous is San Jose that has bad parts but thats like 30 mins away and San Francisco wich is 40 to an hour away depending what part of town zm3d everyone know how fucked up SF is now even tho I love that city and imma Giants fan but besides that Oakland Hayward Richmond Vallejo Pittsburg ect. This area of Stockton is some of the first part of Stockton built. It has the oldest buildings and stores. But these streets looks pretty clean. Not much trash or illegal dumping. No big crowds of people.

The roads in Stockton aren't really that bad, so it doesn't affect the camera that much. I'm in Sacramento but I'm staying in Stockton. If I get a chance to record more in Stockton I'll try to include some of that.

Menlo Park wich Atherton is next to is home of Facebook Google and other tech companys. all these cities part of silicon valley. It borders some ghettoish cities. East Palo Alto is pretty sketch but the rest of the city hella nice. Stanford near there. Redeood city is decent some lower income areas but nice city. The nearest city thats dangerous is San Jose that has bad parts but thats like 30 mins away and San Francisco wich is 40 to an hour away depending what part of town zm3d everyone know how fucked up SF is now even tho I love that city and imma Giants fan but besides that Oakland Hayward Richmond Vallejo Pittsburg ect. Over an hour away so idk how this full mentioning Atherton lmao!🤣
