But hen they would be held accountable to producers and content providers, this way they can forge their own path on the trails and upload content when they see fit. This is the new way to consume what might have been a TV show 15 years ago, and I'm totally embracing this new way.
Out of all the cool places you've taken us to, Thomas, this was by far the coolest, at least for me. If I lived anywhere near there, that is a hike I would definitely take.
I wholeheartedly agree with the description of this video. I hiked a wilderness area adjunct to a popular recreational area for tourists in the Shawnee National Forest the other day and down the popular bluffs was probably about 8 big trash bags worth of trash. It was sad. Something tells me that the people who litter there wouldn't appreciate it if that trash winded up in their front yards. It is sad to see. Hopefully those types of people start waking up. Great video by the way, I need to add that hiking area to my bucket list :D
Beautiful hike, Thomas, with amazing rock formations and greenery. I loved the music and also how you left space for ambient sounds without music or narration. It's nice to have some sonic breathing space to appreciate the visuals in that amazing area. Thanks for a great video!
Thomas' solo hikes are pushing AA content into new dimensions. Not only do we enjoy the virtual walk along side of his day adventures, we love to think along with this thoughts. Wonderful inclusion of scholarship within geology, storytelling, and visual art. Another pleasant, pastoral journey.
I love the 'Thomas archives' as I like to call them. I personally perfer lush Appalachian trail type forested mountains but every time I watch a Thomas video I am reminded of the week I spent in Prescott Arizona and the mountain hikes I took and makes me want to go out west and do the PCT.
I’m a sophomore in college and none of my buddies are in to hiking like you guys. I’ve always wanted to go on a great backpacking trip and make videos like these. If you’re ever in the eastern part of the US and want to abduct a virgin hiker please feel feel to kidnap me! Hahaha love the videos boys, keep it up!
Haha, thanks for watching! Yeah, it can be frustrating trying to find other people who want to hike as much as you do. We are planning to have a meet up in central Ohio some time soon, which would probably involve a short hike. We'll probably post details on our Facebook page when it comes time to that. Cheers! -Andrew
That place looks like a great place to hike, and after a rain, that place must come alive! and I'm with you on the vandalism, especially in places like that. We don't know what it covered up. Now it's just a disappointing pee hole. A lot of what used to be my favorite trails and rocks were vandalized. The people probably thought it was art or a statement, but it just ruined those trails for the rest of us (and I could hike other places there, but they got those places too)
I can't imagine how long this took to frame. Set camera down and walk away then walk back to retrieve camera. Great video though. Love seeing the world through a lens.
So when did you shoot this video? Just asking, because I was under the impression you where moving back to Buckeye State!!!I Sure is a beautiful park!!! Yes! I have see those rocks before. "ARENA" original Star Trek (Season 1 Episode 18) 01/19/1967. Plus of course Bonanza too!!! LOL!!! Can you camp in the park? If so can you have a fire? As for the Devil's Den, only drunken pod eaters would go in there!!! Sure I'm surprised that the park has not walled it up!!! Well as all ways, Thanks for taking US along!!!
Hey, I live in agua dulce and hike vasquez rocks all the time... I think Satan's Den is this weird cave thing a bit off the path that no one really knows about..
We just got back from a South TX herping trip a few weeks back. I don't like it, but people dump all kinds of crap out in the boonies which is good for snake hunters to flip looking for snakes. It's closer to a city so I get why it happens. Out in a place like that? I don't understand people who leave trash and feel the need to "mark their territory". Sad. Funny ending. Blazing. 🤣
Place looks amazing, Apart from Satan's Den, I can see why the national park don't include it in their map, you would think they would clear that up and put a table and bench there in the shade for people to eat food and rest, apart from that, I enjoyed the video
Awsome video, thanks. Unfortunately because of the 500% population increase, foreign countries buying out S. Cal land, you will see increase in vandalism , overpopulated hiking trails, and yes, hipster and druggy types ruining our parks. On the positive side, keep making cool vids!
You guys really need a TV show! Your narration and videography is amazing

And the music
Out of all the cool places you've taken us to, Thomas, this was by far the coolest, at least for me. If I lived anywhere near there, that is a hike I would definitely take.
Great job Thomas. Enjoyed your narration and the scenery. Very informative and relaxing!

I'm a huge fan...partial to the southern Indiana trips...but Kudos to you all for the production quality...!!!
Good job, Thomas. Your short videos give this channel some much-needed content.

Great shooting Thomas...you and Robby are great cinematographers!...your narration is very informative....more please!
Thank you so much! We've got a new episode on the way soon, and we will defintiely keep putting out videos in the future :)
Thomas - you know about plants too! Your cinematography was beautiful and your reaction to the graffiti was spot on ! More Thomas Archives please!
I love the 'Thomas archives' as I like to call them. I personally perfer lush Appalachian trail type forested mountains but every time I watch a Thomas video I am reminded of the week I spent in Prescott Arizona and the mountain hikes I took and makes me want to go out west and do the PCT.
I just drove by there a couple of weeks ago. We wanted to check it out. Thanks for sharing!
this place is also known for having one of the best fight scenes in television history.

I love watching Thomas solos.
I'm with you. Leave No Trace!

Thanks so much for watching, and for your comment! Cheers :)
Cool landscape, quite vast, barren & deserted or so it seems. Not somewhere I'd like to hike alone!
nice video Thomas!
Awesome video 👏 I love ur little adventures!
since lm not likely to go to California it was good to see your video thanksThomas..
Love your solo vids man!
If been to that tunnel it’s awesome it was a really good experience
Could you give me an idea of where the Boulder with 90 degree strata at time stamp 5:43 is located? Would I see it if I walked straight down the PCT?
Just found this vid. And by the way I love the facial hair on you. :)
You should hike the palm tree forest (Indian Canyons) in Palm Springs! Would love to watch that episode

Is it me or does Thomas look kinda like Jimmy Kimmel, lol.
Brody Voyles I agree.

Hey! Nice vid! Are bikes allowed on the trail?
Yayyyyy a new video!!!!
Beautiful!
I see a lot of good places there to hide away a treasure.

christopher williams
Been there many times - there are a couple of picnic tables under a big tree. There's also a visitor center.
>>> how much did you pay to film there?
Is 'Satan's Den' sometimes called 'Devil's Punchbowl'?
Some people call it The Devils Anvil.
“Leave no trace.”
A didgeridoo would sound epic in that tunnel.
Thomas reminds me of John krasinski with a beard.
Jim does have a beard now lol
Oof, red shirt. Dangerous choice for an away mission, err I mean a day out hiking.
Agua Dulce is pronounced Dul-sey because it is Spanish not Dul-che that would be an Italian pronunciation of sweet. Nice vid
slightly bummed out after this one
How here after d
Bts MV
Great day hike Thomas with history and alot of views as far as the vandalism it is a bad thing .... but you took the time to search it out...
I thought Satan's Den was in Washington D.C.
Scott Dunbar - AKA "The White House" until the next election, at least.
tons of skulls! human?
FREE ROBBY-SAN
yaaass
Its pronounced Agua Dulse = Agua Dulce
Agua Dulche lol
Sweet water, and it's Spanish, not Italian, that's why it's not -che.
*googling directions to vasquez rocks*
Have a good time if you go! It's such a cool area :)
The rocks are in santa clarita
