This soundtrack will be played at my funeral. Those hoping for Amazing Grace will have to attend another funeral.

Awesome! I just wish that when other bands play the military set they don't exclude your branch. or they put you at the end when your branch comes before the Air Force. This to me is a disgrace when not done in the proper order! No matter what the timing is, this is THE one that must be played in the correct branch order. I am retired US Army of 35 yrs. I am working on the Military Set now. I have the Army set down, but now the best one is to come with all branches and in their proper order! Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard then Air Force. Will probably be the 1st ever in the proper order. I hear all these bands that play out of order or think that the Marine Corps was 1st...I can see if it's a Marine Corps Band, but all others don't count as starting any Military Set with Marine Corps!

Martha Mace please, the Air Force tune is the wrong key for bagpipes, there are thousands of far better tunes to play. How about working on your fingering accuracy, tuning accuracy and steady blowing instead of silly privy tunes

Thanks for the recognition, ma'am! This old Coastie salutes you. I recently heard a story about the order of precedence that puts the USCG last - apparently, it was a senior USAF general who arm-twisted the powers that be into putting us last, by citing some irrelevant date or other. Expecting some fallout from the Coast Guard Commandant, the general made some half- hearted apology. CG Actual supposedly said , by way of reply, "That's okay, we *like* being the bookend."
Personally, I have to agree. OnTV, at ball games, in parades etc. while all the others stand inside, our standard is visible from the end. I like seeing it so much that I stand on the right side of any parade route just to watch it as it goes by.
For all we do, it's the least we deserve.

Aren't you the founder of the Pipe Band? In the process of joining the Coast Guard Auxiliary and I take piping lessons from the Pipe Sargent of the Maine Saint Andrew's Pipes and Drums. Maybe one day I'll be proficient enough to play in the Coast Guard pipe band? I would consider it a tremendous honor if it were to happen.

Why do they have a pipe band? It's not like the guard has any reason to ever play Amazing Grace. Sounds okay, but you just can't pull it of in that sort of key.
