Very poor job by the camera guy. Not his camera work, his non-stop yammering. Kinda creepy too at times. Abby is doing great! Jumps right in, looking for what needs doing! Hey, think about that the "Blondie" wrecker build as a Mother-Daughter Recovery Team! (just not with Mr Creepy behind the camera)
A couple things really stood out. Abby seeing what needs to be done with out being told. Several examples here. Her willingness to jump into the mud knowing it's all part of the job with zero complaints. Standing up for herself when she knows she is getting bad information. Good job little lady. You were the star of the show with your abilities. Keep it up 👍
What's up with the woman asking "why is the girl doing that?". I would have replied "why not!". Abby is willing to learn. She's got parents and family friends who are willing to take the time to teach her. Go Abby!
i heard that and instantly thought why does it matter it's not you doin it..some people are still simple minded..they act like gender has anything to do with it..maybe it's the fact that Abby is still young and that's where the "girl" comment stemmed from..who knows..i just know people need to be more open minded to their surroundings
The camera guy was darned creepy, not at all comfortable with his interaction around Abby. Could just be rudeness, he made some rude remark in another video about Mara not being fat enough to be a Midwest girl. The man has some brain to mouth problems!
I think he forgot what it was like to be a teenager. At that age you want to be involved and do some adult activities. Nobody wants to be talked to like they're a child. She looks like she's about to be of driving age for pete sake...And certainly capable of hooking and running hydraulic levers. Show the kid a little respect while she's in the mud having fun with her dad. I think he means well though. Probably like a second dad and still thinks of her as a child. Or possibly a little jealous that She's going to be a UA-cam star like Mr. BSF, lol. I'm sure he's a good dude and hope he takes all these comments as constructive criticism... Gain awareness that his belittling/patronizing isn't contributing to these awesome videos.
Grate job Abby. She has been around that towtruck and the first one too (clide) all her life. She knows what she is doing if not she is not afraid to ask. GRATEJOB Abby!
@@Stratos53100 I don't know these people at all, just follow the channel. Just doesn't come across that way in the video to a number of folks watching, just going by the comments I mean. Great to see a young lady jumping in whatever the task she saw in front of her and working so intently, she's an impressive young person. Just the attention she was getting from the camera guy was uncomfortable to say the least.
Dude with the camera is just making Abby nervous. Prayers for the hurricane 🌀 victims and God Bless Everyone and Trust in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus 🙏.
So true, I was hoping the camera guy would just shut his yap. Abby is doing just fine! It's always great to see a young person jumping right in, doing the work!
Great to see Abby taking a more active role in recoveries supported by Eric, Mara and the rest of the BSF team. (I guess dirty clothes are part of the weekend wheeling and repairs.) Never easy to get in a unfamiliar car, not knowing what works and what does not. No doubt braking got hard without the engine running. I did not find anything wrong with the cameraman's comments. Yes Abby has been around recoveries for a lifetime, but she is still young and learning. Vehicles are heavy and can cause damage, injury and death. If uncomfortable sound the horn is a very appropriate comment.
Abby's learning quite well, she could probably do without the condescending tone of the other chap helping as she seems to have spot on instincts. You can't beat that PTO winch set up, I know electric is simpler to set up but the PTO hydraulic setup works so much better.
Great work Abby. Shackles will commonly lock up when they're full of mud, grab yourself a set of pliers for some extra leverage. The rear wiper on Japanese cars is either twist the end of the stalk or it's pushing the stick forward.
From the videos I've seen Abby knows a lot more than this "supervisor" behind the camera. Leave her alone and let her do HER job. She is quite capable of knowing what needs to be done.
100% Agree! That was just creepy and annoying. Young lady has her dad right there, and her mom. She can get all the advice she needs from them. Besides, she was doing a good job!
Oh Eric heck buddy I think you and Maria can go on a vacation and Abby can run the wrecker all by herself!!! I told you in one of your last videos she was definitely doing an amazing job for sure!!! Awesome job Abby!!! Definitely catching on really fast and will definitely be the first youngest off road recovery girl ever for sure!!! And the best taught by the best ever also!!!!!!
Hey camera guy , shut yer yap , let Abby do what she knows to do, and leave her alone. Stop trying to make a name for yourself on someone elses channel. Can we get Gene back on camera ?
How old is Abbey? She looks like she maybe 18 or 19 at the most my parental instincts tell me she’s around 15 or 16 regardless she did an amazing job awesome skills there the world can take notes from miss Abbey
What a dumb question ? Why is a girl doing this job 😳😳 BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO LEARN 👍👍👍YOU GO GIRL ❤❤❤❤from Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 I brought my girl up by myself ❤❤❤❤ and she can fix things by herself as well 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Same here! Raised my daughter and son as a single father! Daughter's a Millwright! Nothing she can't fab, weld, rig, and repair! Son played collage football and now working for Tenneco
They is nothing wrong with a girl helping out with this kind of a job They are not just sex objects Having babies nor just stay home to cook clean take care of babies They can work also
I am enjoying seeing the girls becoming ever more involved on the BSF channel. Two questions: If Abby is getting as hands on with recoveries as she appears to be, such as in today's video. When are we going to see her old man going to instruct her how to drive the wrecker on recoveries? Like he's been teaching Mara how build & maintain Blondie. Secondly, don't you guys have rubber boots on the farm? In Scotland we call them 'wellies', short for wellingtons, from the Wellington boot. They come in a whole range of styles colours and patterns. Green or blue wellies for the landed gentry. White wellies for food processors. Yellow for deep sea fishermen and firefighters. Psychedelic colour patterns for folk attending music festivals and suchlike. I believe that in the US you guys would call them mud boots. Watching Abby with her jeans soaked in muck up to her knees, it cannot be hugely comfortable, nor a pleasant ride home for her.
I was at the event, my sister in law broke the buggy in the beginning.... anyways there was almost no mud down there compared to normal but it's a mile field road to the campground, and they had the camper there. Besides that it was 75 degrees, rubber boots are miserable in those temps I'd rather be muddy
Using a fabric strap for a kinetic pull….hard to believe that anyone has not heard of what can happen, and that there are engineered kinetic ropes readily available.
There are also kinetic straps. First appeared in the mid 70s. Prior to that fire hoses no longer useable by fire departments (too old, too many uses, damaged) were upcycled as kinetic straps.
I understand that your camera crew is shorthanded… But the guy that had the camera barking orders at the little one that was doing a great job, she knew what she was doing, and still he kept telling her what to do… His opinions makes her look bad… His jokes are not funny… This might be my opinion, but he spoils the whole video… Maybe he should be the one grabbing the Yankam ropes and the hooks and getting in the mud and getting dirty instead of opening his mouth… Sorry bro, but I might be one guy out of 1 million that might say something like this, but he spoils your videos. I love the content. I love all your videos. I like what you guys do. It’s awesome but again I say he spoils the video you need to change him out. Getting muddy and still smiling. Way to go Abby!
Dad you have taught her well. Very nice help! Great job Ms Abby!!!
I know Eric and Mara are very proud. Abby's learning this fast.

That lady should not have said anything, Im so glad Abby is actually out there getting dirty! That alone is a rare thing these days.

yeah, that woman should be asking Why did that driver drive in that mud without having a winch, come along, shovel and recovery gear.

As I am watching this, I am thinking that the guy running the camera needs to shut up she knows what she is doing.
Agreed. " It's not locked, honey" Abby - " yes it is"......
The camera guy was darned creepy, not at all comfortable with his interaction around Abby. Could just be rudeness, he made some rude remark in another video about Mara not being fat enough to be a Midwest girl. The man has some brain to mouth problems!
I also agree. He’s being a dick to Abby. She already knows more about recovery than he will ever know. It’s time for him to disappear.
I’m glad someone said this. His commentary adds nothing and is just demeaning and annoying. Shut up and hold the camera.

I'm not saying I'm old, but I remember Abby in the child seat in the wrecker. Now she's operating it.
Ooops. Not THAT wrecker. I remember the first one broke its frame. Well, at least it's the same wrecker body. Age is catching up with me, LOL.
Again, addy shows she's not afraid to jump in and help tow. And yet another great job done way to go Abby. 👍
Aby is doing a great job. Love how she gets in there and doesn't get worry about getting dirty! Do what ever you love you go girl. ❤
Abby you are doing great, soon your dad wont even need to go on recoveries, ms Abby will take care of it.
Whoo!!! Abby towing and repair!
Abby is the hero of this video!!
You go Abby . You are very good help . Proud to have watched the you grow up.
I think dude with the camera needs to leave Abby alone. She appears to know exactly what she's doing.
Blake is like a 2nd father to her... Its all good..
Would you want your daughter around creepy camera man
Ah yes the future of BSF in training!👍
Gotta love the "Karen" rubbernecking, at least the cameraman set the record straight "She's with BSF!". Yes, yes, she is.
Good thing all the commentors didn't hear what else the 'lady' said in the background after that..
Can defnately see poor Eric building a bright pink GMC wrecker for Abby, over the winter. lol
Right, won't be long and Eric, will have to be fighting to get calls. The girls will get them done before he gets there.
They're got Blondie to finish first for Mara.
