I'm glad this video shows the Condensation Collector as the User Manual has awful illustrations which make the CC look like a round cup inserted somehow on the inside of the cooker.
When you select manual normal is that high or low pressure? Recipes keep asking me to set on manual high pressure for so-and-so minutes but I can't figure out how to set it for manual high pressure. Thanks for your help
The video is informative but would be nicer if you used video and not photographs to demonstrate the functions your talking about. It's much nicer to see someone actually replace the seal instead of looking at a picture of it while you explain. I would not be difficult to do this. Please consider remaking your video. I'm interested in the product but this video seems very old school for a more technological pressure cooker.
I can't for the life of me get the antiblock shield off...there must be a trick to it that I don't get. Will keep looking for something that actually shows how.

We have an ip-duo we bought in late 2018, but really just started experimenting with it recently. There are several differences in the button layout between mine and the one shown in the video. Is it time for a new video?
My IP 7 in1 is almost new, but it came without that condensation cap. I don't think it's problem. But unfortunately my pot has no slot for the lid too...New, but already old. It's OK as I love my new old IP pot.
You are right! It's quite story. I ordered and payed for the Duo but received the Lux. I had no idea until I watched this video. It was too late, as Amazon only accepts returns within a month. The 2 pots look quite similar...so I was fooled by a the company that sold these pots on Amazon.
The main differences are: 1) the DUO has a yogurt function, and 2) the DUO has the ability to change pressure settings (LUX has only one pressure setting). If you go to Instant Pot dot com, you can see a chart comparing them. :)
I bought this and it has been a great dissappointment. Very hard to use. So complicated that I never used it. Cannot learn how to set timer anything. Directions don't help. Can't use it. Very traumatizing.
To set your cook time, you just press whatever cook button you want (you can use pressure cook/manual for anything and then use the plus/minus buttons to get to the time you need. That's all you have to do. It'll beep after 10 seconds and start.
@@InstantPotOfficial Thank you. I also realized how the 00:00 digital indicator worked. It took me a while to figure out that 00:09 means 9 minutes....I think. Now I can cook potatoes.

1) Before purchasing as a gift I need to know if a separate glass lid is needed to purchase in order to use this model's latest 3rd generation instant pot as a slow cooker, since slow cooking is also one of the functions of this Instant Pot latest product. 2) Also can the gift recipient also purchase accessories himself paying the manufacturer before hand with U.S. Postal money orders to pay for the additional accessories, tax and shipping costs, since he does not use credit cards or debit cards, and has no checking account? Please reply and thanks in advance.
Yes, this gear can speed up very, very fast or even slower....I learned this while listening to Audio Books. I am a speed reader and hated having to listen to all the uninteresting parts which can make an audio last for HOURS & HOURS. Love being able to put a timer on just incase I fall asleep in case of a monotonous voice......and being able to move the forward or backward stops as I see fit.
