Once again, well done. I love the music as well. Just one little thing, if I may make a suggestion . . . it would be great at the end of the video you could show us what you started with and then the "Reveal". It would show the dramatic difference of you labor. Thank you again. Katie
You have given me the courage to sddress a writing desk like this with great inlade designs wih new energy. Thank you very much, indeed. From Pennsylvania, where our Robins differ but our song is joyous, nevertheless .
Really enjoyed the attention to detail. The box was fantastic. On a personal note, please size up your wedding ring. You're a craftsman, your hands are your tools. 😊
Beautiful work, I knew you were in the UK when you said 'hoover'! I have never seen a robin with a yellow gold breast, thanks. Greetings from Nova Scotia, Canada
So beautiful! Got a new subscriber! I'm looking forward to all your new videos and I like the calmness and time you take to work, there is no hurry in what you do. That's wonderful! Thank you for your uploads^^. Greetings from Germany 👋
... wonderful work nice music at the end - sub button pushed! To me it looks more like a jewelry box. B. t. w: Wales is a wonderful area, to live in! Greetings from Germany from the silver fox, David 😉🦊
I always pass on old silverware boxes in thrift stores, but now I think that will be my next project as you inspired me! If you would be so kind did you use 1/4 inch wood to make the dividers?
Very nice - it closes with a sssssh, so satisfying. I'm curious to know what the partitions are for - not the shape for cutlery. Some sort of collection?
From the original lining I thought it had held a canteen of cutlery but as I don't have the cutlery I thought I'd make it more generic, probably for a collection as you suggested. The dividers are removable so it could always be reconfigured. Thanks for getting in touch
@@RhooseRestorations Yes, I'm sure you're right about the cutlery canteen, but I don't suppose most of us will ever go back to using silver cutlery, too much work cleaning. So a good idea to change it.
That's a whole can of worms! Some use it, some don't but it seals the open pores of the timber prior to the application of the next coat, meaning that more of it stays on the surface and less of the finish is needed.
A big thank you to my Super fans - your kind contributions make the channel possible ❤
Always happy to find another peaceful and wonderful restoration channel. The finished result is awesome. What a nice wood color !
Thank you very much!

Ottimo restauro ....complimenti alla tua bravura ...buon lavoro 😊
Gracias por tus amables palabras, parece que estoy ganando seguidores en España.
Beautiful job! It would have made a great jewellery box. I wonder what was its original purpose?
I think it held a canteen of cutlery originally
Gran trabajo para un español en el Reino Unido 😊😊😊
Gracias. Soy británico pero trabajo para una acería española en Cardiff.

Hi, thanks for the kind words! The wood for the dividers was 25mm x 5mm so I guess 1" x 1/4" would work fine.
Beautiful job.....but those dividers are too small....how are you supposed to put silverware in those small squares?
As I don't have the original cutlery I decided to make it a more adaptable design, more suitable for a collection of some sort
❤

What is acrylic sanding sealer ?
