Congratulations, Andy, a full minute under your one-hour target time is fantastic, even more so with the limited training. Scenic course and amazing vibe. Thanks for the shout-out! Let's go, guys!
@@RunFreeandStrong Thanks Reto, my original hope was that I could even-split the race at 5:45/km but that faded away after 5/6K unfortunately🙁But I was determined to go sub-60⚙️💪It’s a great race and atmosphere, the steel bands are fantastic! The LGG thing, that was me digging deep😀
Andy! Andy! Andy! Woooo! 🥳 I didn't know performance condition went down to -15 😅 You did well to start in that condition mate. Well done. Looks like a really lovely place with a great atmosphere.
@@markg99 Thanks Mark, I had never seen it below -9 or -10 so that’s why I said on camera that I was worried😬 93% in Z5 is also unheard of for me😮I love my overseas races, such an amazing atmosphere😀
Brilliant video Andy, I've been looking forward to this one. Congrats on the time, nothing better than finishing a race and being happy with your time 🎉
@@abitrich68 Hi Rich, it’s nice to hear you say that, I spent ages editing it😂I absolutely love running overseas even though it’s expensive. But as I often say to my friends, we’re only here once😊I can’t tell you how hard the last 3 kms were⚙️⚙️⚙️But I got what I wanted😀
Well done Andy 🏅 That was well earned and a sub 60 is definitely an achievement given your injury woes. Hopefully we can start 2025 as we mean to go on and we can see some good times this year all round 🤞
@@TheRegularRunner Thanks Matt, I appreciate it, it’s been a real hindrance and it’s been flaring up this week😩Looking forward to your challenge on Saturday💪😊
@@TirnanHealy Hi Tirnan, I’m really happy that the video has whetted your appetite for running overseas and thanks for subscribing, I really appreciate it. Next up is a trail run I did in the mountains with a YT friend of mine who lives in Beaulieu-sur-Mer😊
@@raleyadventures Thanks guys, I thought it’d be tough so I tried to even-split it at 5:45/km but at 6K, I really felt it so was glad to get 59, I couldn’t believe it when I saw I was in z5 for 93% of the run😮. I hope Reto doesn’t ask for a royalty on that😂
@@sharedpath Thanks Gelu, it’s a shame you couldn’t join me that day but it was great to meet you at Fort de la Revere😀Video on our trail run out next week✅Good luck in Monaco💪💪
Brilliant video Andy, well done pushing through and getting under 60. Not sure I'd manage that on 5k a week so it's quite an achievement. Thanks for bringing us all along to see it. ps I've still to watch the shakedown video haha, I'm slacking this week,.
@@TheRunningWhale Thanks Craig, it was a significant effort hence the 93% in zone 5⚙️⚙️. I have another 10K race booked in mid-Feb aswell as one next week, unplanned, I’m doing my nephew a favour in his first 10K. You get a special mention in the shakeout video, you’ll see😀
@ It’s Burnley. Though annoyingly nursing a calf injury for the last couple of weeks so haven’t been able to attend 😡 Hoping to be back up and running as it were before too long. Also go to other local ones for a change once the weather gets a bit nicer….
