Great review! I’ve watched almost every tuck video on here and your video was definitely one of the best, what I have envisioned for this kayak you did the clamps and Crete are things I was thinking would work well on this kayak, I have a truck but love simple compact designs and I want a fishing setup I can pull with e-bike have a Crete some poles and the tucktec. Show us some more videos. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Great video! Hubs and I have sit-on-top kayaks that we pull on a double kayak trailer behind our 24’ Class C. We have 2wheel carriers to get them down to the water. He’s the serious fisherman on his with the fish finder, trolling motor, the whole nine yards😄 Mine moves with paddle power and I have a couple rods in the holders. I just love being on the water and if I happen to catch a fish, hey, yay me LOL. I do hope Sharon posts a fishing video as I would love to see what she does. Love all y’all’s videos, been watching for years. I to, as Milena’s shirt often somewhat says, “left all children behind”. Retirement is the best!
Retirement is the best job either of us has ever had! Sharon will be posting a video about the fishing setup in the kayak, but it could be sometime in June before it goes up.
I got mine in July 2022 and use it for fishing. LOVE IT ........ Explained it many times to passer by's .... They asked if I worked for the company because of how into it I was... LOL
I have had kayaks for over 20 years and I just sold my last one because as a full-time RV traveler I just got tired of trying to lift it up on the back of the truck. Also every time I stopped I had to take it off so that I could get to the gear that was stored in the bed of the truck. It’s funny that you made this video. You are the second person in the last couple of days that has made a video about this kayak. I am going to check it out. I always enjoy your videos because you are so meticulous and thorough in your description. Thanks❤
Wow! Thank you for such kind words. The kayak fits beautifully in the van. It is small enough that it could ride in the RV. Sharon didn't mention it, but when before she bought it at the end of November, she called customer service to say she wasn't sure when she would be able to get it out, so the 90 day love it or return it policy wouldn't do her much good. The man she talked with told her to email him her order number and he would extend her 90 days until the end of May!
Awesome kayak- I shared your video with my cousin who loves to kayak but drives a small car. I know y'all enjoy Lake Whitney so I just wanted to share that one of my favorite places I've kayaked in Texas is across the lake from the state park at Walling Bend park. Once you launch at their boat launch, turn left toward the cliffs. There are these tall cliffs that finger out into the lake and it's like paddling through canyons. It's not a far paddle from the boat launch and it is SO COOL!
hello from the sunny ozarks Sharon and Milena! Great to see you kayka!!! I have a Tucktec and no issues last couple of years. i also have the inflateable kayka and i prefer the Tucktec cause not worry about sharp rocks ,sticks and critters making a hole. would love to see your fishing skills in your new adventure in the Tucktec. i keep a battery operated drill with a long paint stir to propel thru the water quicker incase of sudden weather changes.. another video of value and thanks for sharing. Grace be with you both . tight lines!!
i choose yellow also for safety to be seen by others. i dont know how much weight it hold but i have had 255lbs. in it with all my fishing gear and other supplies with no issues..
This is Sharon. I too went with yellow to be seen. GREAT idea about the drill and paint stirrer. I'm looking into that now. What size drill do you use?
@@TwoTiredTeachers i use my battery ryobi 20v. with a 2ftshaft with 4in stir. i also keep a 12v sump pump since mine kayka doesnt have drain and a gal. collaspable bucket to bail water in wakes pick up sundenly. like you, i added more cushions under my boat seat to make fishing easier
Cool video, I am thinking about getting one to bring along on my truck camping trips. I often find myself camping near bodies of water but don’t quite have enough space to haul around an average kayak/canoe. This one looks like it’d be great for wandering around the lakes and ponds I come across.
I love my 22 model. They have made a few modifications to the 23. I've had mine out 20+ times. It was stiff the first few times. My opinion, it is a great fit for RV travel.
Cool! I have an Intec blow up kayak (banana boat) I used one time camping. Caught a fish and haven't used it since. This inspires me to get it out Thanks!
Appreciate that you bought it yourself. 👍👍 Thus, you wouldn't feel obligated to be kind to those bearing gifts. Yes, I'd love to see your fishing setup possibly some of your catch after a good day on the water. God Bless.
Thank you for your support of our not taking free stuff. We do like to give honest opinions of things we use. Sharon will have a video about her fishing setup, but it may not be until June.
This is very interesting. Not young anymore and this looks so do able. Am interested in fishing set also, been out of fishing for years and thinking it will be something to try again. Thanks for the video. All of your videos are fun to watch. God Bless and keep on keeping on:).
Hey, thank you for posting this. I have been considering one of these or the "other" folding kayaks. I have never kayaked before, but have always wanted to. Your review was helpful, especially since you did make the purchase yourself and that you were not a seasoned kayaker. I have been leaning more towards Tucktec as they seem to be the more personable company.
Congratulations on your purchase! I hope you both love yours as much as Sharon loves hers. Sharon is going to post a video of her fishing set up; she just isn't sure when.
Such a helpful video. Thank you so much. Just wondering --- how far do you think you would want to carry it out of the water? Sometimes I have to park a ways away from the water and I'm just wondering how heavy or uncomfortable it starts to feel. I'm 5'4" tall.
Thanks for watching. It does weigh 30 lbs so you wouldn't want to carry it a long way. On the "official tucktek folding kayak" Facebook page I have seen people use backpack straps, golf bag carts, portable hand carts, and a few other creative ideas to help carry out roll their kayaks further distances
Omgosh i love 5hat sharon . It looks so fun a dhighly functional, i was going to ask if it leaked at allor does it feel extra wobbly in the water with wind or wavy water as its so lightweight? Are you nervous at allabout it tipping over? Ive rented standard kayaks and loved it. Was it expensive? Also yes id love a video on the fishing aswell. Safe travels
I LOVE this kayak. They have modified them slightly for 23. It is very stable, but I do not take it out of the wind is much above 10mph. It does not leak. I paid $350, however with the slight modification they have gone up $50... But that includes free shipping. My only regret is that I did not buy it sooner. They do give them away sometimes on "The Official Tucktec Folding Kayak Community" There is a contest that ends today
I just purchased a Tucktec kayak and have had great difficulty hooking the latches to their clips. The plastic is so stiff that I had to ask a young neighbor to do it. The new model I bought has latches on the inside, aesthetically better, but functionally worse, since one cannot use one’s body weight to bend them on to the hooks. I hope it gets easier over the next week. If not, I will have to return it.
Just curious exactly what you used for the floor traction and edging. I've had mine out a few times, and while the front foot holder is cool I would like to be able to keep my butt/legs awake by using different positions!
Fun fact - I'm a world class swimmer and I have an aversion to rivers and lakes. Haha. I like 'em, I live on one, I just don't go in. How silly is that?

Love this channel. I am also a tired teacher and just got some tucktecs after watching your videos
We hope you enjoy your Tucktecs as much as Sharon has enjoyed hers.
That was amazing! Thank you. I’m on the verge of buying and appreciate your hard work

I’m returning to fishing after 40+ years so I am interested as to what others use.
I use a pier or the bank. My knees are too shot to get into and out of a kayak. Sharon and I both enjoy fishing.
How is the front and back or I guess I should say the port and starboard able to be sealed where you don’t take on water?
The best way I can describe it is that it folds in like a "V" It works
