It was an aspirational watch to cap off a working man's career, a police chief, salesman, franchise owner, manager, department head, professor, from any walk of life. It wasn't made for a celebrity or an influencer or the ultrawealthy, it wasn't to show off wealth, but a life of success or major milestone.

Well, I think the comments about the Breguet type XX are a little unfair, as everybody has a different taste. Still, in my case, I have been collecting watches for years. This year, I decided to trade one of my Rolexes, specifically the GMT Master II, and finally be able to get a high horology watch that I had personally been in love with for years, reading books and searching more for the Breguet history. I picked the civilian version for a second-time view possibility AND the date window. It's controversial to have the date window; in my case, I needed that in this watch, especially if it would be one I wanted to keep for years. Also, in regards to "nobody wanting a Breguet," I guess if you are hip hop start, you do not want this type of watch, but a person like me who doesn't like people to easily recognize the watch I'm wearing and love a true high horology brand this watch checked all the boxes for me.

I did a quick check comparing my state Florida's laws to the UAE to see what the maximum punishment was in each place for stealing that watch.
