Hi, I'm looking for a video of this engraver all day. Your video turned out to be the most useful. I plan to give it as a gift to my wife, but I'm afraid to buy something very low-quality and working only on promotional video. Judging by your video it really works.
Thanks. Used alongside a graphics application, I think this works well. The included software needs some getting used to, and is not great for designing the layout to print, but it prints/engraves just fine

Excellent review. If I wanted to etch on a pet tag, which make and model would you suggest?
This one won't etch on metal, but sould be fine for most non-metallic surfaces. I can't speak for any other machines.

Bone is no problem. Metal is a no-go as it both reflects highly and conducts heat away too quickly.

Hi Mitch, I'm mostly interested in doing text (rather than images). How easy is it to enter text (such as business name, web site, etc.) into the software and burn it onto the material? You briefly mention it can be done (as do their videos), but most of the focus is on burning images. Thanks,
Hey Scott. It's easy to enter text, but each entry is of a single format. You can enter multiple text items, and format them differently from each other, making a decent layout but just a little long winded. You can save the finished layout with the computer software, not with the phone app as far as I can tell.
Another way though would be to use a simple graphics app, like Paint on a PC, to create the layout. Crop to the extent of the layout, and save as a supported graphics file like jpg. Then you just open that in the laser software (computer or phone) and burn it.
I'll do a sample, and post a photo on my social media.

Just to confirm , is the software come along with CNC when you buy it also does the software compatible with MacOS…
Software for use on PC or Mac was included on a pen drive with the machine. Apps to use via wifi are available in the Google Play Store and the apple whatever. Do check via the link in the description for full current specification though
I bought one and just received it. When powered on, it homed once and did the preview operation once but I didn't burn anything at that time. Later when I cycled power on, it didn't do anything. It continues in that state. I turn on power but the only thing that happens is the laser comes on. The head does not move and it does not connect to my PC. Any ideas about how I might correct this or is it time to ship it back? Thanks for any tips.
If it's homed once, then maybe it wouldn't move having just been turned off and on. I assume you have the software running on the PC and try to link from that, and in which case you may need to have it plugged into the same USB port as you first used. You could try the mobile app too, but if the PC connection doesn't work then I would report and return it using the Banggood process.
Its a shame you're having problems, and I hope you manage to resolve them. My own machine has worked without any problems, but that's no guarantee they all will.

Hi John. I was quite ill with a serious infection for a few weeks, needing IV antibiotics. Some in hospital, and some at home, hence the IV line and bandage. Fine now, just building my strength up again.
You may have missed some live streams and a few ordinary videos, but I wasn't productive the last few weeks.

Sorry, I have no idea. one side has a screen that is green though, so I guess the glasses would need to be green too. I don't use it on other than wood really, so there isn't any chance of a powerful reflection getting out from the enclosure.

I don't know, but it looks a fairly standard laser as far as I can tell.

It's called Laser Engraving Machine and icon is a purple lightning bolt. I must have found the details within the information that came with the machine, but I can't remember where.
