Been playing Robocop: Rogue City lately, and it's made me so nostalgic for these old classics. If anyone's interested, the game is a B-movie in every way. The graphics and gameplay are nothing special, but it is *steeped* in that classic Robocop aesthetic, and it feels like Robocop every step of the way. Plus, they actually got Peter Weller to do the voicework!
Same, just got the game and even though it’s not the greatest game gameplay wise, it does a good job capturing a lot of the things that made robocop great . I love the first two movies
Grafics and gameplay nothing special ,did you ever grow up to robocop or just someone who just got into it,when you think about it was a small company who made this game and in my eyes they did a perfect job.
Peter Weller is a genius; that robocop suit was *very* inflexible and yet in the Warehouse shootout scene, he was able to make the robot movements AND get all the different looking angles to make it look like Robo was 'earning his money' in the scene
Fun fact: Peter Weller brought Robocop to Life one last time this year, in Rogue City. It's a lower budget title and not the greatest game you'll play this year, but it absolutely *feels* like Robocop every step of the way.
Prime directives: 1) Serve the public trust 2) Protect the innocent 3) Uphold the law 4) [Classified] 5) Have a kickass theme song worthy of a badass walking tank!
@@Agp2009 Nah, those directives always remained but in Robocop 2 they added tons of additional directives which drove him mad. After electrocuting himself he got rid of all of them iirc but in Robocop 3 his 4 Directives were back.
I always loved the scene where Cain and Robocop are squaring off on the street. How he used his arm to stop the bike and go after Cain. Loved the way it was filmed and the choreography.
Robocop is my favorite cyborg, there's a poster of the first 60 x 90 movie hanging in my room, I have the Action Figure, and I'm waiting to buy the kit to assemble the Robocop 2 Cain plastimodelism, so congratulations to MGM and the geniuses who made these masterpieces of fiction...
Robocop 3 had better lines. "You may want to call the fire department." "You are making a mistake. Back off or there will be trouble." "She said no. Maybe you have a hearing problem. (kills the two rehab) Go home young lady. You are in violation of curfew." It should've been much more graphic line 1 and two were...but it was very nice. I do understand that there are those who dislike it though and thats okay.
Another case of a good actor unable to save a poor movie. I personally don't blame George Clooney for the train wreck that is 'Batman and Robin'. He might have pulled it off with a (VASTLY) better script.
If they had kept the R rating and not butchered the script it would have been solid. Burke did a decent job and some of the scenes, like the chase here, were just pure badass and portrayed how unstoppable RoboCop is.

I wish there was a cut of Robocop 2 with the original Robocop tune like they used again in Robocop 3 because the theme they used in the first sequel is one of the reasons it falls short of the stunning original.
i kinda get yall saying alpaccino n deniro's movies r the masterpieces and all but Robocop, rambo, rocky, comando, terminator etc are the true masterpieces of action cinema to me.

I'm playing it currently, it's a masterpiece for Robocop fans! Especially for us who grow up with the classic movies ❤

I still wish the gun arm is in RC especially everything went crazy in that game.
That drug factory cleanup is one of the most satsifying scenes in movie history.
so true
I can't agree with you more.
Well he did warn them.
You’re absolutely right about that!
One of my favorite scenes.
That costume still looks phenomenal all these years later.
Yes it does
what costume?
The original cinematic Iron man
You ain't shittin
Dude no kidding. It has to be the best suit ever designed IMO.
Peter Weller is a genius; that robocop suit was *very* inflexible and yet in the Warehouse shootout scene, he was able to make the robot movements AND get all the different looking angles to make it look like Robo was 'earning his money' in the scene
He had a way of posing for the camera during the movies.

"Come quietly, or there will be... trouble."
The soundtrack alone makes the warehouse scene the best.
I love how at 5:50 either Peter Weller or the stunt man looked back to make sure he didn’t hit that guy 😂
I was just going to write that.👏
6:42 we meet at 33rd st.
0:43 might be my favorite moment in movie history. The line delivery, the way he pumps the shotgun, just perfect.
Classic ! absolute classic. The whole film just had amazing one liners, I loved all the bad guys.
I agree !
Calvin Jung had only this one-liner, and he absolutely nailed it.

Wasn’t it “Your move creep!”, after he shot the dude holding the woman in his crotch?
Still to this day there has never been a better design of a robot
Well...robocop is a Cyborg...not a robot.
Mechagodzilla?
Best Robocop line in my opinion: Think it over Creep!
Love RoboCop, so glad these movies were part of my childhood 👍🏻
The delivery of that "Aw...F**k you" should have been enough for an Emmy.
Robocop remains one of the most outstanding science fiction films of all time.
I can't wait to play Robocop: Rogue City this year. Peter Weller is voicing Robocop in it
Peter Weller IS Robocop. lol.
It would be crazy of they came out Robocop skin variations from all 3 movies idk maybe as well for the Prime Directives TV movies for DLC.
@@Quigon-93 That would be awesome. I wouldn't mind wearing the Robocop 2 skin.
Peter Weller is still alive? 😱

- straps so he doesn't fall out.
True
Robocop theme song is so nostalgic
All the music in the movie the sound is wonderfully the scene 🥰
The excellent work of Basil Poledouris (RIP) and Leonard Rosenman (Robocop 2).
MGM, you left out the actual best fight scene with Robocop! ROBOCAIN versus Robocop from Robocop 2 was easily the best fight he ever did.
+1
100x better than f-in cgi
Peter brought emotion to a character who only has his mouth on show.

I love the old classic look... But the new 2014 design gave him that agility and flexibility that was very incredible

The best fight scene ever in a RoboCop movie was the last fight scene between Robocop and cane. Obviously.

I will always prefer the original robocop film over the remake that came out back in 2014
If you stop when the clip gets to the Robocop 3 scene, the title remains partly true.
You realize what a great job Peter Weller did when you see the other guy.
I have nothing but admiration for the two punks who try to take down Robocop with 3 bottles of whisky and a lighter.
