I like the fact that they tried to realistically portray what damage a. 50 cal Heavy Machine Gun can do. Sure, in reality, it would probably jam or overheat from that sustained fire, but still.
Yes it will jam I served in the army reserves and after 3000 rounds it does jam. But you change the barrel the duration of this video he easily used over 10000 rounds unrealistic without barrel change.
@@ThomasHoward-yj3te that didn't seem to be anywhere close to 10000. The entire scene is only 5 minutes long, even if he kept firing non-stop for the entire duration, that would still just barely reach 3000 rounds with M2 Browning, I think?

This movie, will always, no doubt, be one of the most realistic Rambo movies out of all five, Sly did a great job expressing human brutality and terrors of wars and what they can do to us. I really feel for and actually felt painful sympathy towards the prisoner like villagers, with no other choice but to choose between running across mines, treated like animals instead of humans, or die getting shot, like this film really hits hard both psychologically and painfully 😖, especially when I first watched it back when it first came out. At 2:46, One can also feel the Khmer rebel's sadness (but can't cry out loud and let out he and his men's position) only to watch without any actual battle advantage to save any of his people, friends and family from getting killed but only to watch them die and the inevitable brutality or harm that the savage army is going to do to them always pains one's mind and shatters hearts. 😢 The genocidal effects of wars and violence in this movie was what that really captured the whole essence of the story and it was very brilliantly written and executed. But, if you're against him, then he's the grim reaper without the slightest mercy who'll claim your soul, well not in the nicest, painless way. Words will just go on with much more to say, and I really loved watching this movie back when I was only around 15 to 16 years of age. Such masterpiece from Sly, thank you Legend!
Absolute agree on all levels, what a pure, honest, brutal movie, it's like Sly always wanted Rambo to be like this, but directors were too scared to make it R-rated lol.
Rambo uses an M18A1 Claymore mine to detonate a partially buried British "Grand Slam" bomb from World War II. The bomb is 26 ft long, weighs 20,000 lbs, and has 9,135 lbs of explosives. Rambo sets the trap by: Placing a piece of Sarah Miller's clothing on the bomb Attaching a trip wire Covering it with leaves
Do you think it’s possible to set off a bomb like that utilizing a claymore? From what I’ve read online those bombs require their own internal firing mechanism.
The only thing is that the Tallboy and Grand Slam were never used in the CBI (China-Burma-India) theater in WW II. My guess is that they were simulating a leftover unexploded bomb from the Vietnam war, maybe a daisy-cutter, which were used to make an instant LZ on several occasions. Even if it was made larger for the effect in the movie, that's how the daisy-cutter would have seemed like in real life. It was a 15,000 pound device that had to be dropped by either a C-130 or a CH-Skycrane Helicopter. The one in the movie obviously did not explode, and if the nose area of the bomb was damaged in some way, the claymore might have been able to set it off.
I m from Myanmar & Here's an interesting facts: The actor who played the villainous officer in Rambo 4 is now part of a real-life rebel resistance group, following the 2021 military coups. He joined the group to fight against the military.
Yes, my favorite scenes in the film are when Rambo expertly turns the handle to grind the meat, and when he unleashes the 50-caliber machine gun, which is a force of total and complete destruction. I absolutely love it!
Man, that earthquake bomb hit different, never mind it having no business being in the southeast Asia And it's coming from a movie so good at real life situations that it produces controversy, you know it's that good
Good lord that was intense. Still think the Saving Private Ryan is the most accurate portrayal but just seeing people get hit with 50 caliber rounds is crazy. Can't imagine what that does to the phyche of soldiers that lived through the real thing I saw Saving Private Ryan in the theater during the day and even though it was the opening scene that was nuts everybody walked out of theater at the end in dead silence still processing what we saw in a movie.
I remember watching this in the cinema. The sound effects and audio of the gun fire gave me the most severe goosebumps ever. Stalone is the biggest badass in this movie compared to the rest of the rambos!
