- 3 races remain in the 2024 NHRA season as the series rolls into Ennis, Texas for the Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex. Austin Prock, Brittany Force, Greg Anderson, and Gaige Herrera swept the top spots on Friday night while racers such as Dave Richards and Dale Creasy Jr had career best E.T. to end Friday night, while Tony Stewart and Doug Kalitta enter Saturday not qualified in the show and looking at a massive challenge if they want to qualify for Sunday. The big story was the monstrous crash for Eric Latino which saw him flip and slam into the wall before bursting into flames. He would amazingly climb out of the car unscathed.

Fantastic coverage. I was there Friday night and you did a good job of capturing the spirit of the night. There’s not a person who didn’t think we witnessed history, especially in funny car. Prock obliterated the track record. As far as Brittany goes, I knew Grubby was up to something. He was on the track all afternoon taking measurements. When the wreck in Pro Stock happened, it allowed the track temp to drop even more and the air temp also. That 20 minutes made those monster runs possible.

We do ok with Gatornationals and put on a pretty good show for years, plus we still have long enough drag strip to run 1/4 mile

I havent been to a race in years. The reason being is theyve gotten to formal and to expensive. Used to you bought a ticket like $35 there wasnt assigned seating. Now its like $125 a ticket and gas will cost like $100 to get there and back and you got to buy the tickets in advance. Thats why theyre hurting

The best track on the tour
It's time to put some real downforce on Pro Stock and Pro Mod. It won't cure everything, but a quick look at the aero trim in road course competition shows there's a good data base to start with.
Why doesn’t the NHRA have Safe Walls like NASCR does?
It always amuses me to see in the same comment section , people griping that tickets arent 30$ anymore and people thinking that paying 500$ per ft of wall with no real benefit is a good idea

NHRA is dying because of inflation! Can't run my dragster anymore because I can't afford it with all the equipment that they mandate every 3 years and the chassis certifications doubling the grass root racer can't even race anymore and that's why the tracks will eventually close! 😢 which is very sad to see because I love nothing more than running my rail besides Maybe riding my Harley.
Sportsman keep the gates open. Sad to read about your situation. I pray with other racing folks regularly. This is a big concern right now of many.
I have Faith that economic reasonableness will be on the return road shortly.
Keep the air up in your dragster's steer tires. It won't be long.
