Brother, you are by far the absolute best PC builder in the whole of UA-cam! The fact that you take the time to explain everything to the bare minimum makes your videos priceless!
Thanks
@@ChristopherFlannigan I'm trying to get my pc to boot
I've disconnected and reconnected everything like 4 times
The cpu cooler fan is rgb
And it turns on the light for a second and nothing else happens
Is my pc dead?
Ryzen 5600x
B450 max 2
Vengeance ram 2 sticks
Seasonic 750w semi modular
1660 zotac
In a meshify c case
Any help greatly appreciated thanks
the only led that lights up is flash bios and it does three flashes then nothing
And the rgb master cooler fan lights up for a second and then nothing else happens
Has happened each time I try and start up the rgb does that
The bios only flashes when I click it
I'm thinking about taking cmos batter out for 15 minutes
Redownload the bios reformat ny flash again to fat and unplug everything and bread board connecting stuff again 1 by 1
But this is super stressful I just want my rig to run
I have the seasonic 750w gm semi modular so I know it's working
Hopefully it was protecting something I had incorrectly connected or something like that
1 by 1 I'll try and see what the issue is
I'm gonna reseat the cpu reseat the ram and basically do everything again
Really only can find like 3 and more year old forums to trouble shoot this is really a lot more difficult than the whole build your own crowd makes it seem
I could've just got a prebuilt and upgraded it but this is really demoralizing having it not work over and over again
I was excited now I'm bummed out borderline depressed
@@jgvtc559 Did you flash the BIOS? b450 motherboard unlikely to work with Ryzen 5600X out of the box. That's where I would start
I also love that Christopher has the connections shown with the motherboard on the table and also inside the case for a better view. Brilliant!!! So many videos elsewhere have a person's hand occluding everything.
Possibly THE most detailed, comprehensive visual guide to building a PC on the internet. This is perhaps the perfect case for beginners and I wish I had such clear guidance when I was building my first PC. You deserve way more subscribers sir!
Chris thanks so much for this video! I just bought the Meshify 2 case for my first PC build and I dont think I would have been able to finish the build without your detailed video. Keep up the great content!
I was so lost and thanks to your video I was able to complete my first ever build. Thank you so much, Chris!
Thank you. This video changed my life! The pace of the video and level of explanation were absolutely perfect.
Also for getting into bios with windows 10 is to hold down shift and click restart will bring you to another set of menus that you can use to get you straight into bios
I just finished my first PC build (with this case) and your guide helped me enormously with cable management! Thanks
I really like your videos. Even after 25 years of building PCs I still enjoy watching others build. A friend just got this case this week. One thing of note they only include one front fan instead of two. I doubled checked and indeed it's listed as one front and one rear. I ended up getting the Lian Li Lancool Mesh RGB based on your build last year.
Thanks, absolutely most elegant and best explained PC build ever seen. Keep on doing this great job 👏🏻
Hey, just want to say thank you so much. Without your guide, it would've taken me days to a transfer to a new case. I've followed your guide earlier this year and just forgot to comment on this vid. My PC 's been running great up to this day! 'tis a magnificent beast. Thanks again!
I built my Meshify 2 Compact PC with the help of your video. I had some different components but most of the video was relevant and easy to understand! Thank you!
I really enjoy watching your videos even though I already built numerous PCs on my own. Keep up the good work, your videos are by far the best regarding your knowledge and explanatory skills.
Thanks
Perfect! You are by far the best reviewer of this case on UA-cam!
really awesome video. as a first time builder using this exact case, this video is extremely helpful!
can't believe i miss you Chris... you're really THE BEST PC builder. Had been building my PCs for decades, probably had 10 rigs under my belt and ALWAYS struggle with front panels etc. Most of the other vidz do not go through things in detail! Keep it up!!!
Thank you very much, the guide was perfect. Thanks for the in-depth explanation. Video is short and concise but I had fun for multiple hours building my pc.
Thanks for the video, helped a lot with my first build! Nice detail, easy to follow.
Your guide is very detail, definitely one of the best PC builder on UA-cam. Take my subscription, hope your channel will grow.
Most detailed guide ever made!!! Very much appreciated, Sir! Thank you!
A big THANK YOU to you sir. You just took the time to explain things really clearly, step by step with well filmed illustrations. As I'm working on my first Pc build your video helped me a lot, I've watched a lot of tutorials but yours sure is the best!!
I totally remember you from a few years ago when i was new to pc gaming builds. Here I am years later; up to a 4090 and 5800x3d. Your the best man, cheers!
I've purchased this case and am planning on the 3080TI so this video is perfect! Thanks!
Thank you for this vid. Helped me a lot doing my first PC build.
Thank you. I built a new system following your tutorial step by step, with the Fractal Meshify 2 compact. What a well made case, high quality. Used a Gigabyte x570 Auoroa, Ryzen 3600, and Gskill 32 gb, with two 980/970 ea M.2 1 T, and Corsair Gold 80. Only issue was the system would not post until I flashed the BIOS, despite the MB specs saying it was "Ryzen Ready". Kind of a oh no did I get a bad component... I didn't immediately check the Bios as it was supposed to be "ready". Once I flashed, all was perfect. My last build was 15 years ago, the components available today vs back then are incredible. Keep up the good work and reviews.
Great video. Explained everything perfectly. Thank you!
Good, detailed build, will use this for reference, many thanks
Thanks for the great work on these videos! Between this one and your review of the case that included thermal testing, I had the confidence to build my first PC ... in this case, with the same ROG Strix 3080 GPU, same cable extensions, the latest AMD version of the MB you used, and the same fan/AIO layout. I swapped out the Fractal fans for Noctuas, and used an EK 240 AIO. This thing is quiet! Other than a defective MB, everything went very well. The details you provided while wiring were especially helpful when I was diagnosing.
It was great that you saved me the trouble of trying to use the cable extensions for the top CPU power so that I didn't have to. Same for your bottom fan testing. I would have tried that had I not seen your videos. Your calm description of BIOS configuration and Windows installation gave me confidence in an area where I had little experience. It all went just like you showed in your video. In short order you've allowed me to get on with what I wanted to build this PC for in the first place - gaming. Thanks again!
I appreciate the set up after the build. It helps me see what I miss.
thank you for explaining in such detail!!!!! It's a great help for ppl who are nervous, like me.
Very nice, detail, thanks man!
thanx brother, i just ordered this case, this video is a great help !
Thank you for the good content! I really do learn a lot watching your awesome videos!
Thanks
thank you so much, so many details that I need when looking for a first build
Just spent the past 2 days building my first rig with your tutorials in the background. GREAT JOB Cap'n Flannigan! VERY clear and instructive content. Can you now please make a video of you eating a cheese & onion sandwich from Tesco :)

Really great vid Chris. Ive got the same case and about to build my first PC once I can get a 3080 gpu for a decent price (feels like forever). Really appreciate the clear instructions and pace of the step by step.
I wanted to get your thoughts on risk of static discharge when building and what some good surfaces to build on or should I be grounded etc. Im paranoid about stuffing my first build up with something usually so trivial
Nice
Thanks
Just watched this, great job as always. Heading over to the review, I'm quite curious about the 240 aio with the i9
Thanks
@@ChristopherFlannigan Sorry for the silly question, but what does the 240mm refer to? the cooler specification says its 284 mm long, does that mean i can use any (or most of) the 2-fan AIOs that are about 280 mm in length?
@@joe628aaa I’m very late and you probs already know but it means that you can fit up to 240ml in fans ( 2 120ml fans)

Could do step by step on the inwin itx case would be amazing
Maybe at some stage
One note: you definitely should move front fans a little bit lower. Currently airflow from the lower fan is obstructed by the graphics card itself and moving it lower will help card to breathe. Also Fractal cases usually have PWM hub (well, my R6 does) and it's quite good IMO, so this is an option.

If they released an iTX version of this it would be an instant buy.
Yes it would make an interesting case
Awesome build! I'm just wondering, what are some good white case fans?
This one comes in white
Hi Chris, first off great build step by step guides, really great vids!!! Wanted to asked question on the CableMod Pro Extensions, the contents from the link says it comes with only 2 x 8-pin PCI-e cable- 3 closed combs (450mm), would I have to buy 2 packs of extensions in order to have 3 for my GPU 3080? Was wondering if you did the same or do they sell individually?
love the video. is the case glass tinted?
Its optional for no tint partially tinted and tinted but you can also get no glass
AN amazing video! Just in time as well for my next build. I´m planning on using a case like this, a MSI 3070 and a 360mm AIO CPU Cooler. Will this fit on the top fan spots or will I have to mount it at the front? Thanks!
I would be worried that those clips break, for the m.2 NVME drives.
But, I do like not needing a screwdriver. 15:40
PS: Another nice build...
Yes, building was very easy, but didn't like how they put pressure on the material under the heatsink
Hey, first things first: Great Video mate ! You have the light tempered glass version right? Do you have any pictures on how your build looks with the glass on? Do you know if it is the same glass as in the define 7 compact? Thanks in advance !

Even though the guide helped, it would be a lot better if the display names of each parts of the motherboard were mentioned. Like JRGB1, JAUD1, FP1, etc. One thing that I hated about this guide is how it tells you to pass the HD audio cable through the hole nearest to JAUD1, I literally put in my power supply through the area below the hole and the power supply moved the cable thus bending the motherboard pins for the JAUD1 which is where the audio comes from. I highly recommend passing the audio cable through the second hole nearest to the JAUD1 pins.
Hi Christopher, when you installed the bottom fan, did you notice it help much? Did you just make sure the cables were as much to the side as possible?
I can't find any videos on bottom fan installation or a guide on how to manage that area with a fan.
Cheers!!
I saw another builder, who didnt plug in the extra 4 pin CPU power cable. He said it wasnt needed. Whats your opinion on that Christopher?
Great vid again ,love your work.
Those holes in the floor really should be located a bit further out. Cabling is stressed when it needs to bend 270°.
When you say use the other m.2 sockets, do you mean the top one or the bottom ones that goes to the chipset? I'm almost done with buying everything. Guide really did helped me a lot by the way. Thanks
I noticed you have 3 exhaust and 2 front intake. Your temps didn’t show any negative effects. Is that typical?
Great build video. The case manual specifies memory modules with max height 40mm when using 240 water cooling at the top. Is the manual correct or will 44mm modules fit?
Hey I have a question about drivers...how often do we have to update the chipset, lan and/or wifi, and audio drivers on the motherboard? I know graphics drivers should be updated regularly, I was just wondering if the same applies to the other ones I listed? Thanks!
I do wonder why did you pick the motherboard you picked. I am currently building a meshify 2 rig with just one rtx 3090 but thinking of future expansion (maybe 1 more card) and don't know which motherboard to choose. what made you choose this one if you don't mind sharing?. thanks.!
Did you use one of the CPU power cables for the GPU? I have the exact same PSU and it only came with 2 cables labeled "PCIe", and 3 cables labeled "CPU", no idea why they would do that. Looks like I have to use the "daisy chain" method. When said you had "another cable in the box", did you mean a CPU cable?
Great video Chris! I have the same Fractal Meshify compact case (white) and im planning to upgrade w an extension cables (GeForce RTX 3070) and the PCI-E (6+8 pin?) but wanted to know what lengths i should get bc theyre custom and likely not refundable. Theres a default length of 300mm that Cable Mod has but not sure if that will yield the perfect distance to each component. Any advise greatly appreciated as i would like to order them. Thanks in advance
Hi, did you have any problem installing the AIO? People say it's impossible to fit AIO with 41mm+ RAM memory
Looks like a 280mm rad fits on the top. You think its doable?
does that ram work well with armoury crate. i have corsair rgb ram but its a struggle for it to be detected by the software
I used the same case but I used the NZXT - Kraken X53 240mm RGB AIO, Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO, and the asus tuf z690. I can't use the second 120mm fan on the AIO because it doesn't clear the ram. Im guessing the AIO you used is thinner? Any suggestions besides buying a new AIO.
I just recently got my hands on a RX3080 Gaming Trio Z and was looking to order this case in black with clear tempered glass. Do you think overtime, the graphics card will pose issues being that tight and close to the fan?
I've read that AIO pumps should always run on full, so wouldn't using the same PWM connector, and adjusting fans to tolerable noise levels be bad?
When you did the power, why is there a 4 pin and an 8 pin power? My manual says I can use just the 8 pin one? It's a Rog B550-F Gaming
Damn it , i should wait meshify 2 come out, now i am using define 7 compact , slightly bad compare with meshify 2 compact
